I don't ever leave reviews, but this place intentionally set the clock ahead 20 minutes in the massage room and tried to screw me out of 20 minutes of a massage -- trying to pass off a 40-minutes massage as a 1-hour massage. When I politely confronted the receptionist about it before leaving, she appeared angry, unapologetic, and blamed this on the masseuse. My prior two times there had been pleasant. I go to this place monthly and it is a great place for massages I have had multiple good experiences. I like to go to Olivia or Sonya.

The massage was fine. We arrived 10 minutes early to get undressed. We were ready to start at 3:30 pm. They came in 3:40 pm. With ten more minutes to be massaged, they stopped. However, we paid $130 for 90 minutes times two of us, but got only 70 minutes (140 minutes of massage). When I inquired about the discrepancy, the manager's response was that they needed the time to prepare for the next clients!!! We paid $260, plus 20% tips. My husband and I use a couple's room. We have enjoyed massages around the world, but have never encountered this odd reasoning or poor business model. It was like going to a restaurant, and, if we want the food cooked..... Otherwise, we enjoyed what they did, one block from our house. Next time, we will use another place and receive the time that we paid for. read more

I got a 4 hand massage from Kelly and Molly. My first time here and my first time having 2 therapists massage. $180 for 1 hour. Kelly did my upper body and Molly did my lower body. Kelly was great. Strong pressure, very attentive. Really good massage it felt a lot longer than 1 hour. Molly wasn't that good the massage she did felt really lazy. read more

I've gone with family members and friends tons of times and all my massages were absolutely wonderful, so I was so surprised and thoroughly disappointed on late Saturday evening, February 18, 2023. They updated their website since I went last time, so I was able to book online with 4hands, which is 2 'therapists'. My sister recently had this type of massage there and couldn't stop raving about it, so I was ready to be even more impressed than I already was at this nice, clean, professional establishment. I arrive at 5:30pm even though my appointment was at 6pm and they check me in. There just happened to be two ladies standing behind the counter with the check in attendant. She confirmed who I was and assigned the two ladies standing there to me and they gave each other a weird look. I headed to the ladies room, then to my room they assigned to me and began getting undressed. I noticed the bathroom was recently cleaned and appeared to be ready for closing....although it wasn't even 6pm yet and they close at 9pm. I like the Thai combination massage, which is a mixture of Swedish and Thai for 1 hour with 2 therapists. One lady told before I started getting undressed, if it was too warm in my room not to cover up with the sheet bc the management already turned off the ac ... okay, weird for 3 hours before closing. As they both knocked and entered I thanked them for assisting me, even though I booked online and showed up early. I asked for the Thai combination with medium pressure and they got to work. They whispered a lot at the beginning and I distinctly heard giggling with the therapist who was walking on my back and legs, which is insanely UNPROFESSIONAL...I'm literally naked here, paying an expensive price to be insulted.... Then, the other therapist was just rubbing my neck, shoulders, and arms super firm over and over again, but not in a good way. It was very aggressive and it started to hurt bc there wasn't any technique to it...like she was just rubbing someone down with oil, NOT massaging me. The giggling therapist working on my legs, and lower area was excellent minus the UNPROFESSIONAL giggling, but the therapist working on my upper body was horrible! I kept asking her to please lighten more, and she would whisper to the other therapist and they would laugh. I felt like I was getting my nails done and being laughed and talked about at the same time while paying top dollar to be insulted. At the end, as I got dressed feeling more stressed than ever before and super sore.. Leaving, there was a couple filling out paperwork, preparing for a massage, since it was only 6:45pm. The nice counter attendant asked how it was and I said SORE....and she said, that was normal and to take a hot bath with Epson salt that night and gave me a bottle of water. I was too upset and sore to complain at that time, plus I wanted to speak to the manager. When I got home and settled, bruises started appearing on my arms where one of the therapists were too firm and hurt me. I called the previous day and spoke to the manager and complained about the behavior of her staff and my bruises and increased stress and humiliation. She only apologized and thanked me for the input. She did not offer to compensate me, nor offer me another massage at a later date for her staff's behavior. So disappointing because I would really like to give them another chance, but, I don't feel my patronage is valued. Beware. Picture of bruises included. read more

Love this place! I exercise 5-7 days a week and get the best tension relief when I go to A Real Thai Massage. The combo is the way to go. It's relaxing and the stretching is amazing. They walk on your back (if you want them to) and that offers some serious deep tissue massaging you can't get from hands. Everyone is super nice and very professional. Wish I had a better review. My regular Thai masseuse was unavailable and I was in desperate need of a massage. I chose this place based on Yelp reviews. Unfortunately my fellow Yelpers let me down. I feel like I should not have this review for a service of $110 + $20 tip. Perhaps that's what I get for not waiting for my regular Thai masseuse. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so maybe I had less than stellar experience because it was late and my therapist was tired? If so an A for effort. However I'm a results oriented person. Now I have to shell out money to go to my Thai massage therapist tomorrow. Pros : My masseuse Judy was extremely polite. ONLY reason I'm rating 2stars Cons : Freezing cold room. I made mention of the cold temp which she agreed so for an hour and a half I was extremely uncomfortable ( should have discontinued after 30min ) I am mindful every therapist has their unique touch however I've had enough Thai massages to know what's substandard, standard, & superior First time EVER I walked out of a massage place not feeling great Oh yeah & while changing noticed a baby roach on the floor I will not be returning. read more

Had a reservation for a 60 minutes massage for 7:30pm. Even got two text confirmations (see attached picture). Upon arrival the receptionist told me that their system indicates my appointment was at 12:30, even though it did not matter since Emma, who I asked to see "does not even work today." I asked her nicely "what are we going to do?" She laughed at me and said there is nothing they can do. I asked to speak with whoever is in charge, to which she said the people in charge are all out of town. While waiting for my Uber to take me back home 3 women showed up and after seeing that I was still there said they can give me a massage if I want. At this point I was so upset and disgusted by the lies and attitude that I just left. Make sure you confirm your appointment 3 times, or find a nicer and more reliable place. read more

My wife & have been frequenting this place for about 8 years. We have always had the best massages. We don't live in Houston but make many work trips a year & when we are in town we always try to make time for a real Thai massage. We had an hour long couples massage yesterday & sadly it was not up their usual standards. We didn't have an appointment but they seemed happy to accommodate us. It was the most aggressive, unstructured massages we have ever had. There was nothing relaxing about it. Usually they're fluid, nice pressure, lots of stretching. This time it was hard squeezing with thumbs & forefingers. it honestly felt like they were trying to squeeze blood out of us. It was incredibly painful. I asked my therapist to lighten up but she didn't. Her nails were long & she dug in a few times. I was so thankful when it was over. It was nothing like our past massages. Today my back is sore to the touch. No bruising, which is a surprise because we are both in pain. It's a shame because all of our past massages have been excellent. I don't what is going on with this place but they need to figure it out. I'm scared to go back. I'm only giving 2 stars b/c they did accept us on short notice & the place is immaculate. read more

I told her to less pressure please and not to much lotion because she was hurting me. The place is nice enough, which is why it gets two stars, but the massage I got was truly awful (AND EXPENSIVE.) The therapist was very sweet, but she was neither skilled nor talented and did not know what to do with a body, nor did she care. She hurt me and bruised me, every single move was wrong even though I gave her every chance, and eventually I just stopped her. I only wish I'd done so sooner, because now my body is in a great deal of pain. Given that I went there for relaxation and relief, I feel pretty awful about paying 150 bucks to feel more pain and tension than I walked in with. My friend had the same experience. A bad and expensive massage. What a shame. Never going back there. read more

I got to this place all the time and each therapist has been wonderful. I always am active and working out, so this is my go to place to recover. Jackie is my favorite therapist especially for deep tissue. She never disappoints and also I feel very comfortable. I have been patronizing this business for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, they are GUILTY of discrimination against black patrons. They have specific rooms and water for black patrons. Today I was given Ozarka water after my massage and as I searched for a pen to sign my receipt, the water was changed to Aquafina. I inquired why my water was changed and I was told there was certain water for certain people. I was outraged. I told her to keep the Aquafina water and she said thank you. I was so frustrated after spending $120 for services and $25 in tip. This is the thanks I get for patronizing this business during a pandemic. I told her that Asian people are being discriminated against daily and it is simply IGNORANT for you to discriminate against blacks. I have no problem with any race of people...period. Misleading, non-therapeutic, expensive It was my first time to be at this clinic. I have had massage therapy every two weeks with really deep real Thai and Swedish massage and hot stones for the last fifteen years. There was no price on the website. The receptionist was very unfriendly and in a hurry when I tried to make an appointment. The therapist did not do a good therapy with Thai techniques as shown on the clinic's doors drawing s or as advertised on the website. I had left shoulder pain. I suggested her to give a deep tissue massage on this left shoulder. She walked in my spine from shoulders to lower legs instead. She also used too much oil that her fingers, hands, and shoulders sliding on my shoulders instead of doing any therapeutic relief for my pain. I suggested again since I still had pain on my shoulders, she said she would do that but she never got to it. I paid $100 for 90 minutes but she came in 5 minutes late and left 10 minutes before the 90 minutes session. I gave her $20 tip because I feel sorry for her. However, I don't think she deserved the tip nor the $100 that she just walked in my body and did not help relieve my pain. I think she did not know the real Thai massage as the website advertises. I wonder if all Therapists at this clinic have license to practice massage. I did not see any certificate hung in the floor. I don't recommend this Real Thai massage on San Filipe in Houston Texas to anyone until they hire therapists who really know how to practice a real Thai massage with much less oil to feel the knots and tight muscles that cause people pain. Probably one of the best massages I've had in my life. I'm a massage junkie. I have long hours at a desk job or always traveling and I do extreme sports on the weekends and hit Crossfit when I can so my body sits around getting stiff and then takes a banging so I have to get massages whenever and wherever I can. Probably have been to over 100 places all over the U.S. Best deep tissue massage ever. Therapist (Jasmine) worked on the places I asked her to and then finished up with full body massage with the rest of the time. Highly recommend and for the price, it's great! We got in and they made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. Our massage therapists went above and beyond with our massages. We got the Thai/Swedish combo for 60 minutes. Best massage I've had in my life. I have had hundreds, just to say It was awesome. Really knew the Thai method and did pressure and stretches I had never done before. Very professional and nice staff. Only compliant has nothing to do with the massage. My girlfriend and I got there on time and were told another couple had come 20 minutes late for their appointment so would we mind not getting a couples massage but individual separate rooms. We paid the price for the other couple being late. They should have told the couple their massage would be cut short 20 minutes or they could do it separately. Either way is the only fair solution.
