Friendly staff, talented stylists and prices are very reasonable. Cindy has been my stylist for over 20 years and very consistent!

I had an appointment (4.03.26) with Payton and requested a low-maintenance, lived-in blonde. I…read morespecifically asked to avoid chunky or streaky highlights and an overly bleached look. For context, I typically get my hair highlighted only 2-3 times per year, my natural dark blonde typically remains visible. Although Payton said she understood, the result was the opposite. My hair is heavily over-highlighted with micro-highlights throughout, leaving it overly bleached, damaged, and already appearing grown out. A toner was applied for 2 minutes, resulting in uneven tones, including orange and ashy sections, despite my request for warmer tones. My hair is now extremely damaged--dry, frizzy, and brittle with significant breakage and shedding. The my hair texture feels synthetic. I mentioned beforehand that my hair processes quickly, yet bleach was applied for approximately three hours. The final result shows inconsistent lifting across most of my hair, with white, gray, orange, and streaky sections. Payton texted multiple times while actively applying bleach, which felt unprofessional during such a technical process. The haircut was also poorly executed. It was cut wet and blown-out in curls, making it difficult to assess. When I requested more layering, minimal adjustments were made, leaving uneven front pieces and poorly blended layers. I expressed my dissatisfaction before leaving. Payton acknowledged it but attributed the outcome to it being her first time doing my hair, which does not justify the result. I contacted the owner, Alison, with photos and a detailed explanation. While she offered to review the situation, she declined a refund when I stated I was not comfortable returning for repairs or even an assessment. If conditions shown in the photos are considered acceptable for Blue Magnolia, then I don't see a reason to travel to her salon so she can assess something easily seen in the images sent. I find this unreasonable, especially as I will now need to invest significant time and money into repairs. I invited Alison to my repair consultation appointment at a reputable salon if she wanted to assess, she declined. At the consultation, the stylist recommended cutting approximately 2 inches of damaged hair and intensive repair treatments, along with at least three lowlight sessions to restore a more natural color. While I understand salons may prefer to correct services in-house, I am not comfortable returning to the Blue Magnolia under these circumstances. The photos speak for themselves.

Unethical... ZERO customer service…read more I booked a service with Sarah Hall at Blue Magnolia Salon in Gulf Breeze, FL on February 13, 2025. After the appointment, she contacted me and admitted she had overcharged me $45. She offered a refund or a credit for future services. I agreed to the credit, thinking I'd return. Since then, Sarah has moved salons -- she now operates under Hairbysarahhall at The Hair Suite Salon & Spa, 4956 US-90 in Pace, FL -- and completely ghosted me. I've reached out multiple times over the last several months. She first claimed she sent the refund (she didn't), then stopped responding altogether. I no longer plan to continue services with her at a more expensive salon. The credit means nothing now. I just wanted the refund she promised -- and instead, I got ignored. I've filed complaints with the Florida Board of Cosmetology, BBB, and FDACS. This wasn't a misunderstanding -- this was bad business. If you book with her, double-check your pricing and don't expect follow-through if there's a mistake. A great stylist should be talented and accountable. Unfortunately, I only got one of those.

BLONDES! STAY AWAY. Unless you enjoy paying $400 to walk out with 3" black roots, grays still…read moreshowing, and brassy orange blonde. I saw Tasha every 6 weeks for 18 months. Every time I walked out out with a DIFFERENT tone. One time I left with a purple hue. A few times I saw a brown stripe around my head that looked so bad in pics. How?! She refused to paint the foils CLOSER to my head. In tears I came back & told Tosha my roots were too dark. I left the salon LOOKING like you're overdue for a root touch. She kept pushing me to go brunette because it was more convenient for her. I've gotten highlights since 1999. She told me my natural color was too dark, to go blonde & that's why I turn brassy. She said she asked ALL the other stylists if they could help me, but they all REFUSED. "This salon just does a more natural rooted look and what I'm asking for is outdated & from the 90s." Not only did she insult me, but she fired me as a client and canceled my follow- up appointment. She told me she was actually undercharging me and not charging me ENOUGH. Tasha is very nice which is why I kept giving her another chance.. So now I am back to driving two hours to Destin to see my old stylist. If you can't do blonde well, then SAY SO when a new client sits in your chair.

Wow! I was very impressed by my whole experience and my haircut with Ally. I was able to book…read moreonline and then when I messed up the time I called and they were able to move it 2 hours later for me. They validate parking in the back- but you need the red Premium Parking app to do so! Ally was terrific and gave me the BEST SCALP MASSAGE I've ever had during my wash. And the price wasn't outrageous, I got a wash and layered trim for $45. I was expecting it to be way more for the upscale vibes in the room. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and the bathrooms were super clean. They do take your credit card info when you book an appointment- but that is fair because you are making a COMMITMENT. I will be back to this lovely salon!
