I've been here twice now & Rebecca does a fantastic job with my hair! I'm not the best at taking care of my hair & she gives great advice on how to maintain it. My 11 year old daughter who has extremely long, fine hair, and a lot of it, created a huge dreadlock at the nape of her neck from running around with sweat and not brushing it properly. I took her to Epic with the idea of cutting it all off in order to successfully remove the huge wad of hair that wouldn't comb out. We made an appointment with Rachel (blonde hair) who listened to our issue and felt extremely bad for my daughter. She refused to cut my daughters beautiful hair, instead she spent 2.5 hours combing it out, using special product, and washing her hair. I'm so appreciative of her kindness and patience. She was extremely sweet and wanted my daughter to be able to style her hair for cheerleading (I informed her my daughter is starting cheer soon for the first time). What an exceptional hair salon experience (though see below re: hair color)! I discovered this salon via Yelp and Instagram... Decided to make a last minute appointment, and they had an opening (yay!). Went in for a length trim plus full color. Cut was fine. The only negative for me... Slightly disappointed as despite showing several photos (via a postcard and my cell phone) of the anticipated hair color(s), the resulting hair color was much, much darker than what I had wished for... (sad face). The salon space is lovely... Neat and inviting! There are several rooms - each with it's own purpose. Re: set up in the "color room" (I think it's called that)... This was the very first time I actually interacted with other clients and more staff (in a hair salon) while getting color put into my hair. I enjoyed the extra chatting time as it made the time go by so much faster! A major plus = the staff is very kind! In addition, my stylist shared a number of neat hair info / stories and tips. Furthermore, they have an array of Paul Mitchell products, including Awapuhi Wild Ginger. What a great line! FYI - they also offer bridal hair and makeup services. I 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I can't fit into words how amazing this salon is. I went in with box dyed black hair and Rachel spent hours fixing the mess that I made. The owner even helped out a little when my hair turned bright green after taking the black color out. They could've easily given up on me, but they were so careful and worked incredibly hard to make sure that my hair came out perfect. Ladies, this salon is amazing. There wasn't a page on Yelp for it, so I decided to make one. I have very long, bleached platinum hair. It's super porous and dry, and I had a pretty awful haircut. I had major roots, but I didn't want to go to just any salon to get bleach dumped on my head all over again because I have been wanting to veer away from the all platinum look for some time now. Enter STACEY!!! I have been to a LOT of hairdressers in my life, but none quite like Stacey. She is the owner of the salon, she is extremely knowledgable (she actually teaches classes to other hairdressers), and she takes her time with her clients. You know those hairdressers who think they know what you want and rush you through, talking over you and completely giving you disgusting hair? Not Stacey. She actually listened to what I wanted, knew exactly what to do, and when my appointment time came, she did NOT disappoint! She highlighted my roots, perfectly managing to blend my level 6 hair into my platinum length (she works magic). She toned the rest of it to a nice shade, and she managed to perfectly cut my hair so that my awful bad bang job blended into a long flowy layered look around the front. OMG I love it! Another nice touch is that she doesn't burn your hair off. I have had hairdressers throw 40 vol on my head and fried it. Stacey used 5-10 vol in my highlights and got the results we were looking for. A better blonde with less damage. Amazing. The highlights themselves are SO finely woven into my own hair that it looks completely natural. Literally it looks like my own dark ash hair grew out and was sun bleached into platinum. That's the kind of blending we are talking about here. She has an amazing eye and is a perfectionist when it comes to color and her method of highlighting. Anyway, I will try to figure out how to upload pictures of my hair on here. I was in need of a hair trimming since I just got out of bootcamp and needed to add some life back in my hair. I got the hair treatment which was nice at first but my hair was pretty greasy the next howevee this could be due to the fact my hair gets so oily and really quickly. However this is not why I was not pleased. At the salon in my hometown I always get a trimming on top of layers, there 2-3 inches max is taken off of my hair. Here I had around 5-6 inches taken off. I approved of her taking off what looked to be 3 inches (I figured it needed it after 2 months in a tight bun everyday) and from the front it looked great but when I got home I turned around and saw that my hair went from touching my butt all the way to my mid back. I was so upset because I have worked really hard for the last 3 years to grow my hair out and because it so short now I have a really hard time putting my hair into a sleek bun. She was so friendly so I don't want to give a bad review plus I didn't say I was dissatisfied (I don't like to be mean and I didn't see how short it was from the back). read more

Had a wonderful appointment today with Rachel. I went in and showed her a picture of what I was looking for. It was a purple and red balayage that I wasn't even sure could be replicated in my price range. I was beyond happy when I left. While it was not as purple as I had hoped for, it was still gorgeous. What made me even happier is that Rachel told me, before I had even commented on it, that next time we would need to add more purple. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The place is really nice. Everyone is super sweet. I was happy with how I was treated. As for price, I was happy with that as well. Rachel went over everything I wanted and gave me a price before she started. I'd had a bit of a bad cut several months ago that was uneven, choppy and highlighted, so that my hair has been lighter but was dull, dry, and breakable. Rebecca went above and beyond to ensure that this was a good experience for me- she listened to what I was concerned about and wanted, and was more than happy to make tweaks and changes as we went to ensure I was happy. Wish I could give them more stars!!!! Honestly can't say enough about how amazing this place is. I'm nine months pregnant and feeling just generally "eh" until I walked in Epic Inc. They have the sweetest girl working the desk who made me feel appreciated as soon as I walked in. After a quick tour my hair dresser went over some options with me and really made me feel like I was making the best decision! The staff has the greatest sense of humor and me the entire experience fun. The end result with my hair left me speechless!!! After it was styled and I got to see it I almost started to cry! I love my hair! It was the first time I colored my hair and I went purple ombre, so I was so grateful the colorist and stylist knew what would work for me and my skin tone. I was there for 6 hours (I have a lot of hair) and everyone was friendly and relaxed, and they even stayed late to finish it with no complaints. It's a comfortable environment. I paid a small fortune to get my hair done, however, the color that Stacy did was horrible. Not only was it way too light for my skin tone, but it was super brassy. What can I say othe than truly amazing and feeling 10 years younger. I walked in mainly interested in updating my hair cut but had no idea i would leave feeling this good about mysefl and my new look. Not only did Stacey update my dated hair cut she got rid of my grey! When Stacey first mentioned getting rid of my grey i was a bit aprehensive. I did not want an obvious "dye job". She used a product called Flash back and let me tell you, it looks so natural and so awesome! My wife absolutley loves my new hair cut and the fact that i don't look like an old fogy anymore.
