Style Downtown - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

This Salon is completely unprofessional, un-licensed amateurs pretending to be experts. Cortney ( owner)she took 3 bathroom breaks in 30min. I wonder which drug she was abusing in there. Long & slow service & over priced It gets a two thumbs down. read more

I am picky about my hair and researched a salon that uses Goldwell color. My stylist couldn't recreate my haircut and over processed my highlights, making me too blonde. I then got charged a lot more for the services than what's listed on their website. They even added an addition $15 fee for my highlights. I have short hair and inquired what the extra fee was for. I was told they count every dip into the color bowl and I needed extra?! Oh, and if you check in on Facebook, you receive $5 off your service. After I told them I checked in, they didn't offer that promotion even though it's written on the blackboard in the salon. I'd try somewhere more pleasant next time. read more

A bit of a nomad, I'm used to saying goodbye to favorite places/people, little gems and best kept secrets, but on the flip side I do enjoy the hunt for the new, when and wherever I happen to land. However, I will say that just because I don't carry one stylist in my back pocket, doesn't mean I'm cavalier about who touches my hair. For me....it's all about...'do they listen'. I have long hair...I like it that way...I want to keep it. If I tell this to a stylist and they cut it how he or she sees fit even after we have the ' No more than an inch' talk, then it's ciao! and I'm outta there, never to return. Kelly at Style Downtown gave me everything I wanted. I phoned, I got an appointment in under a week, I was on time, she was on time, I told her exactly what I wanted and she gave it to me. It really doesn't need to be more complicated than that. Kelly was engaging when I wanted and when I sat there eyes closed, she carried on quietly. As for the space....cool and comfortable indeed. I'll definitely be back. In fact....I look forward to it. read more

Style Downtown - Hair done at Style Downtown by Lauren!! - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

I wish I had lived in Pensacola longer to continue getting my hair done here. I only went three times to get high lights and haircut-however, all three times, I made appointments with Kelly & was extremely happy with my services! Not only is Kelly fantastic at what she does, which would keep me coming back anyway-but the receptionists were SO accommodating to my schedule as well. I honestly had to reschedule four times for my last appointment, and they were so understanding & made me WANT to keep coming back. No complaints here. Never had to wait, never overcharged, never felt that I didn't get what I wanted, etc. Thank you, & I hope I can find a good salon in San Diego too! read more

I just moved out here from California it's hard to find a good stylist who won't hack off all your hair and mess things up. This place was pretty impressive, nice staff, and they know what they're doing. I got a simple trim (with layers), so nothing too complex. Jackie cut it exactly as I asked, as I'm always nervous that the stylist will cut it way too short. No complaints, but it was slightly pricey. You get what you pay for, worth it! read more

Great blowout received, super great customer service. The whole team wants to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Would go back in a heartbeat. read more

My favorite salon so far! Highly recommend Brittany and Natalie. My hair always turns out exactly as I ask/expect which is rare (for me at least!). read more

Style Downtown - Went from a brassy color melt mess to a pretty soft brown. - Blow Dry/Out Services Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

It has been over a year since my visit here, but every time I think about my experience I still get upset. I don't like to write negative reviews, which is why I didn't right away. But I just left a different salon and am so pleased with everything about it, and it just reminded me how awful this salon experience was. I went here regularly before my stylist left. The salon was nice, the review isn't necessarily about the salon itself but more my experience with Amber. I had an appointment with a different stylist who canceled on me. It was an appointment on the day of my 10 year high school reunion, so it meant a lot to me. I called only a few days in advance and Amber was nice enough to squeeze me in... which I guess was my mistake. She was fun to talk to and she was nice, I'll give her that. But she foiled half of my hair (with bleach) and then cut another clients hair.... while only half of my hair was foiled. I sat there for 40 mins, with only half of my hair foiled. Like I mean the whole whole right half of my head... while the left half hasn't been touched. The whole time I am wondering how it could possibly turn out even. Seriously, 40 minutes! I know because I kept checking my clock, knowing that this wasn't right! I did not mind her taking another client, especially since "squeezing me in." But at least leave me with all of my hair processing at the same time! Well, in the end it did turn out even... but like platinum blonde! Which was NOT what I came in for. And she had to use a few different toners to make it presentable to me. After she was done, I politely told her thank you. Even though I HATED it and it was not what I asked for. I just wanted to get home and hoped it looked better in a different light. Oh it did not, it looked worse. The worst part, it was at least double what I normally paid at that salon for the exact same request. Like in the tune of $400!!! I was livid when the receptionist told me the price. Amber charged me for the multiple toners that she used trying to tone down the way too bleached hair. That is what upset me the most! It looked so bad! :( I had to go to my reunion feeling embarrassed of my hair. I didn't even want to talk to people because I felt so unlike myself with this bright ugly hair. I went back to have her fix it, and she charged me for it. The "fix" toned it down a little... but it was still awful and embarrassing. I literally just kept it in a braid for 6 months until I went somewhere else to get it done. I had been to that salon multiple times and asked for the exact same thing that I always get. My hair looked ridiculous and she WAY overcharged me. I get stylists have their own prices, but she charged me $400 for hair that was way over processed and looked awful. A year later and it still upsets me to think about. Even though I blame the stylist and not the salon for the bad hair job, the salon should have done something to make it right. Although I would have preferred it just getting fixed. read more

Ok being a military spouse makes it hard to stick with a good salon and stylist. When we move here in 2011, I was on the look out for someone who is on top of trends both cutting and color. Well, my two experiences here were short of acceptable. First I got my hair cut long layers not to hard to mess up but the layers didn't really flow the way I am used to...I thought ok whatever, the real test will come with coloring. Ok...I told the colorist that I want dark brown (keep it to my natural color so my roots don't show) with golden undertones. What did I get? Almost black with purple undertones?!?! I was pissed to say the least...I called back and they had me come in to remove the color and the stylist that removed it said "oh now it looks so much better!" NO it Doesn't!!! It looks like how it was BEFORE I colored it!!! She thought it was nice?!?! WTH?! So I made her redye it to the color of my liking...I didn't care if it took time off from her having to sit and chat with her friends but she did a half way job! The color was right, but she let me leave the salon with my hair damp at the roots and frizzy! She didn't want to take the time to dry it completely and smooth it with a flat iron! The one thing that really made me mad was the "owner" was from Seattle (like me) and was trained at my favorite salon Gene Juarez! Let me tell you though, she was ALL sorts stuck up and RUDE!!! She has no right to be stuck up around her customers when WE are the ones that pay her check every week! I want to get my hair ombré with bayalage like the epic stylist Guy Tang does for his clients and he is the ombré MASTER!! They are seriously gonna make me wait till I fly to Hollywood just to see Guy because he is the only one that I feel is worthy enough to touch my hair!:) These stylist especially the owner needs a slice of humble pie and start SERVING their clients the right way! Thank you... read more

A lot of people recommended this salon to me, so I thought I would enjoy it. I have pretty long hair and made it very clear that I want it to be kept that way. The stylist and I decided on taking 3 inches off. I also wanted to get partial highlights, just enough that they were visible but not streaky. According to their website, the total should be $107 for the licensed stylist-which I requested. When she finished, about 7 inches of my hair was gone, I couldn't see any of the highlights and they charged me $174. I did not request anything other than the cut and the highlights and was charged nearly double. I will never go back to salon again and saying this visit to the salon was a disappointment is an understatement. I highly suggest everyone who thinks about going there save their money and their hair. read more

AMAZING! Can't say enough good things about this place. Got a extra conditioning, cut, and blow out with Kelly today. It's perfect. Best blow out I've ever received. The staff was professional, friendly, and on point. read more

Was really excited about this shop. They ruined my hair! They over processed the color by leaving it on way too long!!! They juggle multiple people at once. They offered me a deep conditioner after the damage. That will not bring back my hair that kept falling out! Had to go to another salon and cut off over five inches! They did not even offer my money back. The only person to trust at this salon is Sarah which I think left. Call the salon and ask for her info read more

If you have 4 hours to kill for a routine dye job and $300 to burn then this is the salon for you. I was charged a premium price for Courtney to do my hair but her assistants always did 90% of the job, badly. I was drenched with the sprayer on two different occasions. I had my broken leg banged into the side of the bookcase. Once I still had a gray streak down the middle of my head after 2 hours of processing (which became 4 hours after being processed again.). I watched a girl with an appointment wait 1-1/2 hours before her stylist started on her and someone else wait 45 minutes. I regret that I spent 6 months and over a thousand dollars on appointments here, but I kept hoping it would get better. I now spend about a quarter of the cost at another salon for better results. Plus I stay dry and bruise-free! read more

I found out about this beautiful salon on Yelp, walked in without an appointment and was quickly and very graciously accommodated. Candace did not need me to tell her much, she knew exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend this salon-very happy! read more

I have been a customer at Style for three years. I could not be happier. When you walk in you get greeted at the door with a refreshment of your choice. (coffee, water, beer, etc.) I get my hair cut every three weeks which helps it stay in style. I also enjoy the free neck trims in between. I will definitely stay a customer. They are GREAT!! read more

Great job on blonde balayage...walked in and she took great care to make sure I got what I wanted!!

I think this is the best salon in the area hands down. All of the stylists are super nice and very good at what they do. I've had Brittany and Amber before and they were both amazing! Amber saved me from a hair color emergency, gave me my first balayage, and I've been back multiple times since. Definitely recommend Style Downtown! read more

My friend and I are visiting from out of town and gave this salon a try and had a great experience. Natalie was very friendly and attentive when cutting and styling. We have very different hair styles (angled short cut and long layers) and both of us loved what Natalie did. Would come back if we lived closer! read more

I made the transition from brunette to blonde with full balayage and oh my goodness, IT LOOKS AMAZING! The salon is very up to date, great service, and when I expressed that I needed to move my appointment up and had a very complicated schedule, Courtney personally found a day and time for me to come in, with two back up days and times if I had to reschedule again. Best place in town. read more

The haircuts I've gotten here are decent, but the scheduling process is inconsistent and sometimes downright awful. The receptionists seem to be constantly changing, no one remembers who you are when you call (I'm not a difficult customer, I swear, it's just that after a while, it's a little odd) and they frequently mess up and either double book or overbook appointments. Going somewhere else now. read more

They cancelled my hair appointment 30 minutes prior the time. Very unprofessional!

THE WORST HAIR SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! I was really excited to get my hair darkened, but still keep some of my blonde at the ends. I am definitely not super picky, but I was very disappointed with the end result. I clearly asked for an ombre look and I got an all over dirty brown color with random parts of blonde in my hair. It looks like I dyed my hair myself with a blindfold on while missing many pieces of my hair. The stylist didn't listen to anything that I said and was sort of rude. I called and spoke to the manager and she said I would need to pay more money to get it fixed. I will NEVER go back. read more

I got into town on a Friday afternoon and just HAD to get my hair cur. Young hip vibe to the shop, very relaxing. Worked me in for a cut. Everyone in the shop was friendly and made me feel comfortable. How to put this - I am an older woman in years but not in heart. A lot of the time when I go into places the young staff is condescending to say the least. NOT here! Brittany Roley cut my hair and did an awesome job and listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted - I'm trying to grow out a very short cut. Awesome experience. Great salon. read more

I love getting my hair done here! The salon is so cute and clean! Brittany does my hair and she's amazing!! She's so personable and knows exactly what she's doing. She really cares too! STYLE Downtown is awesome!! My blonde hair was over processed, broken and in major need of attention. The embarrassment was making me want to hide. I went to Cortney at STYLE downtown for help. Understanding that healing my unhealthy hair was a process that would take time, she matched me with beautiful extensions to help soften the growing pains. They blended so well with my hair and it looked so real, no one knew! Cortney educated me on how to take proper care of my hair using the best products and the latest styling techniques. Now, I love my hair! Cortney taught me that blonde hair can be healthy and beautiful! I am forever grateful. I also went to Kelly for the the Keratin Express Blow Out Treatment and my hair was frizz free for the summer! It totally cut down on my drying and styling time too! I sent my mom to Colleen and she has never looked better or been more happy with her hair! Cortney is an incredibly talented hairstylist and business owner. With her passion for excellent customer service, education, and fashion, I know that whoever she hires will be a star that you can trust to do the best. I always look forward to my hair appointment. It's my favorite day of the month!! read more
