If I could rate negative stars I would!! Below is a bridal trial. The worst bridal hair I've ever seen. The hair stylist looked like she was on crack. Kept insulting the brides hair. Was not taking any direction from what the bride wanted. Her hair fell down by the time makeup was finished. We were told airbrush is what we would be getting For makeup. She got bb cream put on her face and then used makeup including a used lipstick. Not even any contour. She was not using clean applicators. The artist was sweet but fresh out of the womb with no experience! No bra or underwear on, super professional. Talked with the manager afterwards and she essentially said the bride should have spoke up more. Offered no resolution and as a manager myself, she should find a new career choice. Worst place ever, do not go!!! read more

They are getting this review based on how I was treated at Sandestin- and since there was NO resolution, and is owned by the same people, it's really all the same to me. I overpaid for subpar service, and had odd looking skunk stripes on the back part of my hair and chunky highlights thru out. The stylists name was Alyssa but the license she was working under had some other girls name and picture on it which I guess I should have questioned. My roots were still HIGHLY visible 4 hours later and when I told her I wasn't happy with it, she argued with me about her technique. I still paid but told the receptionist that I didn't like it and I'll give it some time. I emailed the website/Facebook 2 days later only to be told they closed Sandestin location permanently and if I wanted my hair fixed then to come to Pensacola. I'm not driving 2 hours away to further damage my hair. They didn't offer to refund- or even discount. I played phone tag with one of the receptionists until I gave up. Sad company. read more

Visiting from out of town and schedule a much needed facial and massage. Kiki was awesome for deep tissue massage; really thorough and listened to my focus areas. Gracie did my facial and it was good, but no extractions which was a bummer; I like when they get in there and cleanse EVERYTHING. Skin was smooth and glowing though, so it was still nice. read more

I came to pensacola beach to take my wedding pictures and I came here to get my wedding nails, hair, and makeup done by their amazing staff. They worked with me to even do a last minute rescheduling due to rainy weather. Located- Across the street from the hilton hotel. The entrance is downstairs(not upstairs!) next to the greek restaurant. Price- Expensive but worth it! I paid around $150 for gel french manicure with nail art +french pedi. Also, $150 roughly for hair and makeup. I may be a few bucks off each, I just rember paying around $300-400 after tip. Nails- Rona is an expert at nails! She did my mani and pedi quickly and beautifully! She converted me over to gel mani for life. She is such a cool lady to talk to. See my nail pic to see how amazing she did my nails. They still look good a week later :). Im so excited to see the renovations they are doing to Rona pedi station also! :P Hair and Makeup- Casidee did my hair and makeup and omg, it could not have been more perfect! This is a spa with several massage rooms and a hair studio. Its location directly across from the Hilton makes it basically a tourist salon. I selected it because it is an Aveda location. I only go for haircuts and while the staff are friendly, I never really feel like I walk out with the haircut I asked for. They will put you in this meditation room before it is time for your service. This room is torture. The only place to sit is either sharp, wiry metal chairs, or this bench seat built in around the walls. The bench is too narrow and forces you to brace yourself, sitting bolt upright. Also, if someone else is in the room, then you're stuck in social awkwardness. Tip: Don't come early; skip the room. Not accessible; all services performed upstairs. read more

Thank goodness for my trusty little Yelp app on my phone to help point me in the right direction As I was sitting on the back porch of the beach house, I was discussing with somebody that we should go and get massages the next day since advil was our new best friend. That was the easy part. Thank goodness for that trusty little Yelp app! Found this place that is 15 minutes walking distance from our beach house. Holy cow. We were in heaven. I visited Fusion while on vacation and wanting to get my hair and make-up done to take family pictures on the beach. Though the salon is located in a strip mall, the inside is large with neat architectural details and two levels. I felt like the make-up artist did a good job on my make-up. She seemed detail-oriented, and the finished product was photo-ready. My only complaint is that the make-up stool that I sat on did not have a back to it, so my back became quite sore early on during the make-up application. Overall, I was pleased with my make-up, and I think it photographed well. After my make-up, I had my hair done (they normally do hair first and then make-up, but I booked last minute and was on a tight schedule). Unfortunately, the hair stylist was running behind schedule, and I believe I was seated about 20 minutes after my original appointment. She worked very quickly, and luckily the results looked good, because there was no time for much styling after she finished drying my hair with the round brush and curling a few strands. The salon had told me that I would be finished by a certain time, if not earlier, and I left there 10 minutes later, after a very rushed hair styling. Normally this wouldn't matter at all, but we had to meet with the photographer for pictures before sunset. Overall I was satisfied with my visit and would recommend this salon to others, but I would hope that they would get a make-up chair that has a back to it, and better represent how long the services will take, for those on a tight schedule. Great experience! Easy online booking, friendly staff and excellent service. I had a 60 minute Stress-Fix Massage given by Taylor. Unexpectedly, she started the massage with a foot scrub. The massage was a great blend between relaxation while working the knots and tight muscles with just the right amount of pressure. By time she was done, every muscle, tendon and joint had received attention and was much improved from when she started. In short, one of the best massages I have ever had. read more

Hank was available for a 90 minute deep tissue massage - the best one I've ever had. He was very professional and listened carefully. 4 stars is as high as I would give for a spa in a strip. During a recent vacation at Portofino, Fusion was my go-to location for a quick blowout. I'm on vacation...why on God's green earth would I do my own hair? I was there in the off-season, so appointments were easy to come by when I needed to get in. Jennifer gave me the rock star treatment with the blue oil scalp massage (I love having tingly MintyHead!) and a shampoo customized just for how my scalp and hair were doing on each visit. She gave me excellent tips on how to care for my hair in general and did a wowser of a job styling my hair. The salon was convenient to Portofino and is easy to find. Just head for the ferris wheel! My deep tissue massage was one of the best I've had and I've had many. My wife was very happy with her massage as well. The spa provides a very nice relaxing environment, everything you'd expect. Unprofessional. I booked a consultation appointment and was called minutes before leaving my home for the appointment that Heather was stuck in traffic and needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for a few days later and upon arriving at the salon was told (after waiting 15 minutes) that Heather's client had arrived late so it would be at least thirty more minutes before Heather could see me. They didn't bother to call me before I drove there. Waste of my time and irresponsible of Fusion for conducting business like this. read more

This place is fantastic! I did a facial and my mother and aunt got hour long massages. They raved about their massages. The girl who did my facial was great. Everything from start to finish was relaxing and my skin felt great after. I did end up buying some products afterwards but no one was pushy by any means. I would give 5 stars but I will note that the area where massages/facials are upstairs can get a little noisier than I would have liked with the wood floors in the hallways, people talking out there and the click/clack of people walking by with heels. Kiki is the best. He knows exactly what needs to be worked on, the perfect pressure, when to engage in conversation and when not to, he is super down to earth as well as a true professional. I always get a deep tissue/sports massage. A great massage choice for those that work out regularly. Really helps with recovery. I love that he starts my massage facing head up instead of down that way when I flip over I can settle into a nice little nap during the last part and that he keeps the room nice and dark to make it easier to relax. The receptionist are super attentive to the clients needs from the minute you walk in until you are leaving. Always making sure to ask if I want a cup of tea before and water after. This place is a real treat! I have gone here for years for haircuts/highlights and am always happy, but especially loved the stylist who has cut my hair the last two appointments, Thu. I should say that I am SUPER picky about haircuts and hard to please. I have a short pixie, which is not an easy cut. Thu took her time upfront to make sure what I wanted and then gave me a fantastic razor cut. Color is perfect as well! She was awesome! Will definitely be back! I used Fusion several times this weekend for wedding-related services, including massages and hair services for the bride, bridesmaids and mothers. First let me say that Deanna did an AMAZING job on my hair (the bride). She was so great in helping me figure out what to do with my hair and made me feel confident and excited. The massages also were excellent. However, the overall management of this business was awful. I spent hundreds of dollars there this weekend. Out of eight separate appointments over the weekend, I ended up having to cancel one because of a missed flight. The receptionist told me that I would have to pay for 50% of the appointment because I didn't cancel 24 hours in advance, then basically called me a liar when I said no one had told me about that policy. I told her that was unacceptable and she backed off a bit. She then waited until I was halfway through getting my hair done, came up to me in front of all the other customers and said she was going to charge my card whether I liked it or not. I told her that was not going to happen and asked to speak to a manager -- she said no manager was there and she hadn't even consulted with one before coming up and making a scene in front of the entire hair salon! The management here should really hire some more mature people. My second issue here is that we made four hair appointments well in advance for the bride and bridesmaids. However the process was so flawed that three of our appointments were over before they even started in the fourth one! So then we were all just waiting around for an hour. In addition, one of he girls wanted a waterfall braid and the stylist made a huge deal about how she doesn't know how to braid and kept trying to pull the other stylists away from their appointments to do it for her. Pretty ridiculous. Meanwhile, bobby pins were popping out of one of my bridesmaids' updo less than an hour after we left the salon. Given the chance again, I would have just tried to figure out a way to hire Deanna to do everyone's hair because she was awesome. Everyone else at Fusion was basically incompetent. read more

I have visited Fusion several times for manicures and pedicures. I own a salon in downtown Pensacola and have come to Fusion when I couldn't get in with our own manicurist. The staff is friendly, the facilities are relaxing and clean. I'm not a fan of the local "chop shop" nail salons and enjoy the drive out to the beach and thoroughly enjoy my services and treatments at Fusion. You can also stop into the other restaurants and shops in the strip on your way out to pick up dinner and wine! read more

Terrible Color experience. I went in with hair almost to my waistline to get brassy color off scalp area. The hair stylist burned my hair so badly that I've lost over 50% of my hair (10 to 12 inches). I was in shock when I left and they still asked me to pay hundreds of $$$'s. I called next morning in tears. Assist MGR told me to come in that she would have her top 3 color stylist on me. I showed up, she was no where to be found. The same person attempted to fix. End result, darker/orange streaks, broken, cotton ball, frizz that constantly breaks off. I had beautiful thick blonde hair before that was a little brassy on top. I have called repeatedly with no return calls. Finally today the Asst MGR takes my call. No refund but willing to do a few $20 botanical treatments. Rude, uncaring... No way!!! Now having to chop off to a bob cut! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! read more

I went to fusion for a massage and was brought upstairs to their waiting room. The person that welcomed me offered me beverages. I then waited a few minutes and was greeted by Tricia, the massage therapist. She was very nice and Definately knew what she was doing. She started with a foot scrub, then stepped out while I got undressed and got on the massage table. She then worked her magic. She got out all the knots I had. She applied the perfect amount of pressure. I was so happy with the massage, I rebooked with her. I've decided I will never go to another massage therapist again. I highly recommend her. The experience with Fusion Spa Salon in Pensacola Beach, Florida was horrible. My sister is getting married on Saturday and we went to the salon for the trial hair and make-up. The hair stylist did not listen to anything that my sister asked for / wanted and also went as far as to say that what she requested was "not going to happen". Her hair looked so god awful, and was not anywhere close to being acceptable for a wedding. Additionally, the make-up artist was an 18 year old girl who had not been to cosmetology school who had only been doing makeup for 2 years. While she was incredibly sweet, it again, was not appropriate for her to be doing bridal makeup while not experienced enough to do so. She used her own makeup and brushes that she uses to do her everyday makeup which is unprofessional. We spoke with a manager after the fact and the manager essentially said nothing was wrong and did not try to provide any resolution to the issues. I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

My hair and make up got rave reviews, and the salon setting is one of the finest I have seen. I was very thankful at how accommodating the salon was in meeting me for early morning hours so I could get to photographs on time. I realized as an after-fact that I had not been provided the correct prices so be sure to ask carefully - while it was still a good value, it did turn out more than I had planned. read more

Fusion is a nice spa but what really makes it stand out is Tricia, the LMT. She is probably the best-kept secret on Pensacola Beach! I will never go to another Massage Therapist! Incredible deep tissue massages with relaxing, tranquil natural sounds (my favorite) and after just 3 Thai Yoga massages my body is more flexible than it's ever been. I suffer from childhood leg problems and she is enabling my legs to stretch and move in ways never possible. read more

I enjoyed the Aveda Stress Relief Massage in the capable hands of Michelle today. From the minute I stepped into the treatment room I knew I was in for a wonderful experience. My hour started with a delightful foot soak/scrub. While providing this service, she took the time to learn about my specific trouble spots. During my massage/reflexology session she expertly worked out my tension and knots. I am a regular consumer of massage at home and have experienced massage services on vacation before. Went here for the first time for a highlight and haircut. Huge fan of Aveda products and from what I had seen of their store, I decided to try their services. There are a few really good things. First, the building is beautiful and the staff is nice. I was taken upstairs immediately for my appt and my stylist got me quickly. I noticed immediately some of the stylists were not only really talented but they were also friendly with their customers. My stylist, as well as two others I observed, had the personality of wet noodles. Also, despite how nice the building was, I didn't get a hand or scalp massage, as I had with several other Aveda spas in the past. Although I didn't say anything to my stylist, you could tell she was just so young and probably just getting started. She used ice cold water to rinse my hair (why, why?), pulled on my hair and knots until I started to get a headache, and used a hairdryer that was so hot it burned my ears. In her defense, I probably should have said something, several times. However, I was just tired of being there, she worked a little slow for my taste. Would I return? Maybe. Probably not. The price was good, the cut ended up being sloppy and I went somewhere else the following week to try to get it fixed (see a later 2-star review for that place), the color was oddly red and lacked the dimension I was seeking. The atmosphere is very nice. If I returned, I would go with a different stylist next time. read more

Love this place and Aveda products. I've had a few treatments here and am excited to go back. This place has a lovely atmosphere and everyone is very knowledgeable. My facial with Cheryl was so relaxing. She really listened to my skin concerns and customized my experience to fit my needs. It was heaven. I have also been in to receive a haircut and color by Amanda. She is new to the salon (not new to the profession) and she is beyond sweet. She gave me an awesome haircut and colour. Seriously, go see her. She is talented, attentive, and very personable. Oh and Aveda products.... the best! Due to my experiences at this salon/spa, I've become obsessed. So luxurious and worth it.
