I'm very angry and disappointed with my experience at this salon. I would not recommend coming here…read moreif you don't want or like toner. The owner herself did my hair, and right from the start, it was unprofessional. She didn't even put the drape on me--she told me to do it myself. When I specifically told her that I don't like toner and didn't want it, she pushed it on me anyway. Against my better judgment, I ended up letting her do the toner, and it completely ruined the color I had in mind. Instead of the bright blonde I asked for, the toner made my hair look dull, flat, and ashy. It destroyed the existing blonde I had before and left me feeling so disappointed. When I expressed my concerns, she did not care at all. She didn't offer to fix it, add highlights, or do anything to make it right. Her attitude was dismissive, her energy was bad, and the entire experience felt unprofessional. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and with hair I absolutely hate. I will never return to this salon, and I do not recommend it to anyone. I'm leaving the blonde picture of my highlights that I always have achieved with other stylist with no toner and the dull toner version from my experience at this salon.

Steven washed…read moreit, cut it wet, made about 5 snips, blow dried it with no diffuser for the first half, then asked if I liked it. I thought he was joking about being done - I looked like Frankenstein's bride. He wasn't joking. I asked a couple questions and he said "no it's perfect, you're done" and didn't care if I wanted anything different. I was embarrassed walking out of there and even letting the receptionist look at me. Paid for my first ever "curly cut" that turned out to be a trim I could've and should've done myself. He pretty much talked about all the movie sets he worked on, nothing at all about my hair. Mind you, we had 2 hours blocked off and the whole thing took 20 maybe 25 minutes. I'm furious I even paid for it. I feel bad because maybe the rest of the workers are talented, the place seemed nice enough. Steven had good reviews so I was excited. Wrong. Wish I took a photo to include here, but I wouldn't let anyone else see me. Put my hair up immediately. Walked into my apartment, let me hair down, and my roommate said "what did they do to you?!?" I try to be a very reasonable person and don't like talking bad but I can't recommend this place, at least for anyone with hair like mine going to Steven. I will say the receptionist recognised the gentleman coming in after me and welcomed him with a bright smile which was nice to see they know and appreciate their regular clients. Steven was very welcoming when I first walked in. Nice people, horrible hairstyling for me. I hope others' have a better time. Needless to say I'm never going here again.

Sarah is a hair wizard!…read more I had a relatively harsh line from a previous ombre done at another salon and wanted to get it fixed before deploying. I researched all the nearby salons and stylists before choosing Sarah, who turned out to be exactly what my hair needed. Making the appointment was a breeze. They asked a lot of questions which I liked as it helped them get a better sense of how my hair was currently and what exactly I was looking to get done. Sarah was awesome from start to finish. She explained everything she was doing, asked for my input and other questions as we went along, and was very transparent throughout the entire process. We started with a cut, then went into the blending and color. She dried a test swatch to ensure that I liked the final product and I felt comfortable enough to be completely honest. After a little update, I was left 100% satisfied. Usually I find little things wrong once I get home, but that hasn't been the case here. I got exactly what I envisioned and the color is something I've wanted for awhile but no other stylist has been able to really achieve. The salon itself is cute, clean, and spacious. They have their own parking lot which is super clutch given the downtown location. Prices are very reasonable and on par with the service you get. Overall, couldn't be happier with my experience. All the love for Sarah.

I scheduled an appointment for Balayage after she assured me could deal with my hair type. My hair came out not even close to the picture or Balayage technique. It's just stringy yellow highlights. After agreeing with me that it was off , Kim asked me to go the next day to fix it. NO problem.... then the next day she text me that she's cancelling because she charges $100 and hour and my hair has already used a lot of her product and time . I don't mind that my hair was going to need to be fixed , but I do mind the unprofessionalism of her not fixing what she did wrong because she would lose money. What about me ? It costs me time AND she put highlights at the tippy too of my head (opposite of Balayage!!) and now I have to pay to have it fixed. She decided to refund my money - but I caution anyone with actual curly hair to see her pictures and notice they aren't really Hispanic people with thick hair. Also notice in my photo the blow dry job !! 255$ and that's the blow dry job ... looks nothing like anything she's done to anyone else on these photos .... if you mess something up, YOU need to make it right . Obviously my hair type (regular curly Dominican hair) is out of her expertise and that's why she cancelled. Caution to others with curly hair .
