I've been going here for years. Vivian is the best. My nails are always top-notch and I'm very picky.

I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about this nail salon, especially Vivian! She's incredibly talented, super quick with amazing quality (my nails last 6+ weeks), and she always knows exactly how to make my nails look even better than I imagined. For the quality and care she puts in, her pricing can't be beat. And if you know Vivian, you know she almost never takes a day off. She works so hard and is always there for her clients. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, creative, consistent, detail oriented, sweet, hardworking, and truly cares about your nails and your experience then Vivian is it! I've added a picture of my most favorite set by far!

Light pink French tip Gel X with magenta polka dots

Amazing establishment that is reasonably priced! Charged 60$ for gel X, unlike most places that charge an arm and a leg for a simple design. This will be my new go to spot for gelx nails!

This nail salon is the best I've been to! I got hard gel done on my natural nails with the shade "Spiced Berry" by DND on top by Vivian. It was the best experience and turned out to be the perfect fall color! The salon has a very cozy vibe and everyone is so sweet. I can't wait to come back and try out their cat eye gel polishes!

I don't know about anyone else but it takes me awhile to find a nail place I love, that does exceptional nails, that is affordable, clean, where they talk to you and it doesn't hurt that they are open for business right now! Well after countless searching I found my place! Vivian is amazing and did a flawless job on my nails. I love A Plus Nails and I plan on telling all my friends. Don't go here. Highly disappointed. Not COVID safe. Have been here twice and both times disappointing. Paid $100 for mani pedi nails and got ripped off. Nail shape was two different shapes. Sloppy and not even sanitized. Didn't cut cuticles. read more

Why is this place rated high? Small location, small amount of polish choices, the ladies are not that nice and the one time I did get my nails done here they were not done very well. I say save your money there are other shops that are cleaner and nicer. read more

Vivian is the God of Nails! I was referred to A Plus nails by a friend whom has been seeing Vivian for awhile. I just moved back to the SFV from the Mid Wilshire area. Its been an adventure finding a decent nail place that does "duck feet" nails. I called Vivian around 3pm on a friday night to ask if she was available and she said she was booked until 730pm. So, I came down a few minutes early so I could get my eyebrows waxed too (ouch!) When it was finally my turn to in Viv's chair, she made me feel important. I'm sure its something nail artists learn in nail school or something, I dont know. Anyhow, she worked very fast, but was also very meticulous with her brush, which I liked. I've never been a big fan of the pink and white acrylic, but she promised me that she would make them look good. And oh boy she did! At the end, she asked me if she could do a little Fall flower on my ring fingers. I agreed, reluctantly, but agreed nonetheless. Im very glad I did, because Its been almost 2 weeks and I still get compliments on how beautiful the flowers are and how clean my nails look. She has a new client. I'll only see Vivian. There is no need to go anywhere else! read more

Worst experience. The place was a little outdated and not very clean which is fine if the service and quality compensated. They didn't really have a large selection of colors, and the skin under my nail started feeling really raw and started bleeding during my manicure because they were overfiling into the nail bed. I was also overcharged $8 which I wasn't made aware of until the end. The pedicure wasnt that much better, they tried doing it while I was sitting in a swivel chair over a bowl and angled across the table and it was super uncomfortable. Also a little unsanitary, she wasn't wearing gloves while doing polish. I didnt really feel like my feet felt any cleaner or exfoliated, and honestly felt like I could've done a better job at home. Left feeling $60 broke and extremely unhappy with my nail experience ): NEVER AGAIN. Never. read more

Normally go to the sushi place a few doors down so I decided to give this Nail Salon a shot since I'm new in the area. It's a smaller Nail Salon without a lot of frills. They have the basic set up without much on the walls or decorations. Honestly, I found it kind of refreshing. It was nice to know that their main focus was the nails and not much else. We called ahead and they were more then willing to fit us in. We had two pedicures and they were wonderfully done! My roommate also had a foot massage added. For two pedicures and a foot massage, we literally paid next to nothing. I could not believe how inexpensive this salon was considering how great of a job they all did! I have yet to be back but next time I'm ready for a pedicure, I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I love this place so much! My nails come out better than expected every time and they last so long. My acrylic tips last 3 weeks without needing a fill in when they're only supposed to last 2. Really liked Leyna who did my toenails. She didn't rush, didn't hurt me and then did a nice job on the polish and flowers. The price was NOT inexpensive unlike the yelp listing. My pedicure was $35 plus $5 for the flowers. read more

Vivian is THE BEST!! I have naturally long and thick nails. If they aren't taken care of properly, the break and snag in the corners. Most salons just give me a gel overlay, or dip powder and call it a day. Vivian takes the extra step to make sure my nails are protected & they always last AT LEAST 3 weeks. The only reason I need to come in is because they grow out! When I started coming to her my nails were almost nubs. Now they are back to being so long & strong. Thank you Viv! read more

I don't even know how worst to rate this place because it's the worst I have ever been too. I went there to do my nails on pedi and manicure. I arrived at 11:00am and left at 3:56pm, what a long wait! . And as if that was not enough one of my finger nails peeled off within an hour of leaving and by 8pm in the night all my fingers had peeled off. I had to inform and they were like I go back the following day so they can fix them. On reaching their the lady shamelessly told me they are closed and that I should comeback in 3days. I mean how sad!! It's them that told me to go there in the first place. They're just too rude to customers and don't take services seriously. It was my first and I am sure last time being there because I can't pay expensively to receive fake services again. read more

I have been coming here since high school. And I'm now 40! Enough said! They're Amazing!! Vivian. Is the best at it. Her nails are strong and made built to last a long time. She's pretty funny talented and very cool! This is a family owned business that goes a long time. I love this place. My friends and family comes here too! No matter how long I stay out. I keep getting so many compliments on them and they look a million times better than the picture I showed as a reference! I work 5 mins away from here , lately i have been disappointed with my last salon that i have been going too ..They have doing a horrible i mean horrible job with my gel manicure that would start chipping in a week or maybe even sooner !!! One of my gfs told me check A PLUS NAILS they do good work no matter who u go with ..i am glad i did because i am in love with my natural nails manucure !! I added the callus removal and it was worth every penny. They use this clever block that sits on top of the water bowl and under your heel during the callus removal. It looks like a yoga block and it's brilliant. It keeps you comfortable and gives the technician a perfect angle to work. Small detail, big difference. The chairs are really nice too. Great massage features, super comfortable, and the whole place looks clean and smells good. No harsh chemical smell, which I really appreciate. I wish I would've kept my grown out set because this place ruined my nail beds. I was originally going to get a new set. When the process of getting my old set removed started I immediately got cold feet. It was a guy that worked on me. Not the guy with the tattoos but the other one. His drill was set way too high. He drilled my nails way too thin and you can see the drill burn on my pinky. You can see the drill marks on all my natural nails. I had to stop him from trying to rip off the acrylic off my natural nail by trying to lift it. Telling him I wanted him to remove my nails by properly soaking them. He ruined my nail beds that I'm gonna be forced to let them grow out until they get thick again. The receptionist was nice and the place looked good inside. Its just crazy that he would hurt my nails this bad. A licensed nail tech knows what the rings of fire are and he cause so much damage you can see it in the pictures. The acrylic set I had on before was the first one that I had in months so my nail beds were healthy. This is beyond heartbreaking and disappointing. Reply: blaming the customer for the technicians wrongdoing is so unprofessional. As a licensed nail tech, you should know how not to ruin a customer's nail bed. My nail beds underneath the acrylics were healthy and were not thin. I normally go to a private technician because salons are so irresponsible. they work so fast trying to rush through every client. And you prove my point right because your technician was working way too fast. I shouldn't tell him how fast he should control the drill or guide him to do a simple soak off. I moved my hands multiple times telling him that he was burning me with the drill and that he had to properly soak them off . That had been my first set of acrylics in a year my nails underneath were thick and healthy. regardless of the thickness of the nails an artist should still be able to soak off and scrub off the acrylic when doing a proper removal without thinning out the clients nails. You're just creating ridiculous excuses trying to deflect without taking accountability. It was a HUGE mistake on my behalf for sticking until the end only so he can ruin my nails. He did permanent damage to my nail beds that I am now forced to grow them out because they're so delicate, thin and they keep breaking. It was my mistake for thinking that a salon with good reviews could catfish me, and for thinking that you guys knew what you guys were doing as technicians. I hope that you guys can learn from your mistakes and never do this to another woman. I left us alone, crying with my fingers hurting. Waking up the next morning with my fingers being sore from how bad he left them.

I gave a generous tip of $15 so it came out to $77 nearly at $80 and then now already started lifting so now I have to fix it myself. Very frustrating. I will not be coming back here.

I love this salon. It's very reasonably priced and Vivian is an acrylic master. I like to go on Friday or Saturday for pedicures because I love Sue. They are not the most organized time-wise but I don't see how anybody can complain when the prices are so low. If you want perfection, go pay $40 for a MINIMAL pedicure withouT any extras. read more

Watch out at this shop especially if YOU ARE A BLACK PERSON. These "ladies" are EXTREMELY DISCRIMINATORY! They don't even hide the fact that they treat black customers like second class citizens. I don't think I have to say more except the place is dirty, dusty, and not friendly at all. I do not recommend, and yes I paid $36 for a manicure and tipped, why in the world did I do that ? Never coming back- please learn how to treat customers better and not force your unhappy son to do something he hates doing.

Things got real uncomfortable at the end when I told my bestie that she did a good job I just wasn't happy with the color selection. Jamie looked mad and said.."for being independent I don't have many colors? I've only been doing this for a year." I told her that I would rather say the truth and say NO, the selection is very limited. She has like 12-14 basic colors and 10 that she charges extra for because they have some type of "design." So no, showing me one ring of colors compared to many places that set out 5 + rings is nothing. To top it all off after 2 days my nails look dull and my gels already have a chip and my cuticles are jagged:/ (picture included). Jamie didn't use any cuticle oil, no lotion or hand massage. I'm very unhappy, but best of luck sorry it didn't work out. I still like the salon and have been to Sharon. She is super sweet. My mom and sister like her too! She has a lot of gels and a bunch of new colors that she showed me last time. She never makes you put your phone away and if you text or call her, she will get back to you quickly with her availability. Make sure you ask for Sharon. :)
