I submitted the claim for the 60 cents per pound like a week ago or so, then left the last review…read more I just got a call from Eugene, the owner of the business. It was pretty pleasant overall. He apologized for all the inconvenience and gave some of the reasoning as to why the delay had happened, all of which was fair. He addressed more of my concerns in my original review. From what I understood, the carriers are third-party, so they can't really control delays. He understood my frustration about the refund being only about $24 and asked how much would I think is fair. I said $200. He said that's completely fair and ended up zelling me the money right after the phone call. Obviously the move itself was a bit frustrating, but this I think more than made up for it and it was super validating feeling like he understood where I was coming from. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the conversation and the resolution.

Oscar was wonderful, if it weren't for him I would be very uncertain about this company…read more We had a long distance move, four random hired hands ( not employees) showed up to our home to load ( they did a great job). We were told that there may be people to help in the next state or there may not be, it could just be Oscar unloading the 26' truck himself. Seems like they pulled two guys off the street to help unload. They were clearly not as experienced as the first guys were, nor arrived dressed like they were ready to unload a truck. The one said he twisted his ankle but also had unlaced loose tennis shoes on... They go off hoping they can find someone in the next state to unload the truck with them. When reserving with Yuriy he said there would be three guys loading, traveling and unloading. That's not the case. But it's what he sold the cost of it all on, he said they were barely making money from the move by the time the three guys traveled and stayed for possibly up to two nights- three total day move. I had another quote at $4500 but Yuiry said there would be no way because of the above mentioned reason. Not the case at all. The move took two days, one night stay. Yuriy was meh, he's a sales guy so that's expected. The move was $6K, I hope they compensated Oscar fairly for all the work he did. I'm only doing this review because Oscar was really great to work with. The company's process seemed sketchy.

I love this moving company!…read more Called on a random Saturday to get a quote from Kari - it was the lowest I had gotten all day - so low that I called back 10 minutes later to make sure I heard it right. It was a large safe move no stairs but on a gravel road. She assured me her guys could handle it and do it all the time. A month later I called back to book the move. Even though I hadn't provided my name she saved my quote and remembered my voice. Quote was still good and booked for a week later. Excellent customer service from what seemed like a very busy office. The day of the move they showed up on time and ready to hustle. Initially two guys came but once they loaded the safe on the truck they called to get back up. Backup showed up within five minutes super quick. They arrived, laid out a mat for the dolly, and busted out the move easy. I was worried about my doorway threshold but there was no need they picked it up every doorway. They placed it where I wanted it unwrapped it and took away the trash! Great service on a massive task that I was dreading. No way me and my friends would have been able to knock this out. Totally worth hiring professionals - and a great rate!! Will go to them should I need anything ever again and will totally recommend to others - no hesitation!

I don't usually leave reviews like this, but people deserve to know who they're dealing with…read more All In One Moving & Storage promotes themselves with the phrase "In Jesus' name we move." As someone who takes faith seriously, I find that deeply offensive given how this company actually conducts business. There is absolutely nothing about my experience that reflects honesty, integrity, or accountability--values that are foundational to Christianity. Using faith as a marketing tool while operating like this is misleading at best. After my move, multiple items were lost and damaged. I went through their claims process in good faith and ultimately signed a settlement agreement for $1,549. The company confirmed in writing that payment would be processed within 3-4 weeks. It has now been over nine weeks, and I have received no payment and no meaningful communication. At this point, I've had to escalate the situation beyond the company itself. I am in active discussions with the Fort Belvoir transportation office, and this company's handling of claims and failure to pay is being reviewed in the context of their eligibility to continue handling military PCS moves. Service members and their families deserve far better than this. Let me be clear: this is no longer about the money. It is about principle. A company that signs a settlement agreement and then ignores it is not operating in good faith. If this is not resolved immediately, I will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract. If you are considering using this company--especially for a military move--I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that will treat you with honesty and respect. This is not one of them.

Anyone who gets the pleasure of speaking to her will immediately understand what I mean. She answered all my questions and really made me feel at ease with the move. J Barber sent Joe, the driver, to do the Virginia pick up and the Florida drop off. He was great! Very nice, professional, good spirited, and easy going while at the same time very efficient. He made sure all the floors, stair rails, and door facings were covered to avoid any damage. He took care to inventory all the furniture and boxes and made sure everything was properly loaded on the truck. Joe selected a fantastic crew of very hard working individuals (Al, Michael, and Matt) to load my belongings on a shuttle truck (because my driveway wasn't accessible for a larger truck) which was then transferred to a National Van Lines semi truck waiting at the J Barber warehouse. The loading crew wrapped my furniture like it was made of glass. They did such a good job and all my furniture made it without a scratch. Everyone on the pick up crew was courteous and professional. They weren't on their phones or taking smoke breaks as I've experienced in the past. Once in Florida, Joe contacted me to let me know he was in town, and set up a delivery time for the following day. He contracted a local crew (Thomas and James) to unload the truck and set up the furniture in my new home. They worked quickly and did a great job of placing things where I wanted them. They were good natured and made friendly conversation as they worked. No smoking or phone usage on the Florida end either. Joe double checked the area to ensure the furniture was put back together properly and all the trash was picked up. I really appreciated that the pick up driver and the drop off driver was the same person. Anytime it is possible to use the same driver, I would highly recommend doing so. I've moved several times but never using a semi truck so I was nervous about my stuff being transferred once it left my departing house. I can now say without a doubt, my uncertainty was unfounded. This was by far the best move I've ever had. Very smooth and professional. I really can't say enough about how well the move went from beginning to end.

The movers were especially considerate of our high valued furniture, wrapping everything to avoid damage. They went above and beyond to figure out how to get some large pieces where we wanted them. I have moved many times over my career, and J Barber tops all moving companies. It's not even close. Trust me.

We were quoted for three men and 6-7 hours of work, costing between $1600-$2000. However, one of the movers did not work at all, spending most of the time on his phone and complaining. The truck was poorly loaded, leaving behind many large items such as our fridge, recliner, rocking chair, and crib. They also damaged a piece of bedroom furniture and lied about it. They promised to return to our old house at 8 am on Sunday to finish the job, but never showed up. After calling around 10 am, one of the movers said he just got out of the shower and wasn't coming, but would be there Monday at 8 am. My husband had to rent a U-Haul trailer so our daughter could sleep in her crib and we could move some of the large items ourselves. On Monday, we waited again for hours. They said they would arrive at 8 am, then 12 pm, but finally showed up at 2:08 pm. I have called and asked for a refund of at least $600 plus reimbursement for the U-haul. They only offered $245, which is not sufficient. Overall, their business practices and customer service were extremely poor. I would not recommend them.

Packing was estimated at $700. I called about this concern, FaceTimed with Natasha who agreed that this was unacceptable, should not have happened, and was not what their work standard is. She transferred me to the manager, Seth. Seth contradicted every single thing Natasha had said and that was explained to us during the estimate process. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and insisted that "3 hours for a pack is unrealistic for a house" even though this was what was specifically quoted. His only solution was to "honor the original estimate" and charge $890, for packing that was incomplete and completely unsatisfactory. There are screenshots of texts confirming what we asked for and what was promised.

What stood out most was how friendly and communicative the team was throughout the process, answered questions, and made a genuinely stressful day feel manageable. I first requested a quote in late December before I even had a new apartment lined up. Their online tool made it easy to get an initial estimate without an in‑home visit, and Dasha (and sometimes Lilith) answered all my questions over the following weeks. A month later, when I was ready for an in‑person assessment, they honored my original quote even though my inventory had changed (many more smaller boxes, one less big piece of furniture). They visited on a Thursday and scheduled pickup for the next Tuesday. A team of three loaded everything in under two hours (right after Winter Storm Fern). I arrived in Seattle on Saturday, and the driver called 15 minutes after I had picked up my keys from the leasing office (I am not kidding). Despite my building having no loading dock, he found a workable spot, unloaded everything, and rebuilt my furniture solo in about 4.5 hours total. The original delivery window was up to two weeks, so four days was beyond anything I expected. I'm incredibly impressed and highly recommend DC Moving Inc for long‑distance moves.
