All in One Moving & Storage

All in One Moving & Storage

I don't usually leave reviews like this, but people deserve to know who they're dealing with…read more All In One Moving & Storage promotes themselves with the phrase "In Jesus' name we move." As someone who takes faith seriously, I find that deeply offensive given how this company actually conducts business. There is absolutely nothing about my experience that reflects honesty, integrity, or accountability--values that are foundational to Christianity. Using faith as a marketing tool while operating like this is misleading at best. After my move, multiple items were lost and damaged. I went through their claims process in good faith and ultimately signed a settlement agreement for $1,549. The company confirmed in writing that payment would be processed within 3-4 weeks. It has now been over nine weeks, and I have received no payment and no meaningful communication. At this point, I've had to escalate the situation beyond the company itself. I am in active discussions with the Fort Belvoir transportation office, and this company's handling of claims and failure to pay is being reviewed in the context of their eligibility to continue handling military PCS moves. Service members and their families deserve far better than this. Let me be clear: this is no longer about the money. It is about principle. A company that signs a settlement agreement and then ignores it is not operating in good faith. If this is not resolved immediately, I will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract. If you are considering using this company--especially for a military move--I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of companies that will treat you with honesty and respect. This is not one of them.

The demand letter from the attorney generated an immediate response within a day, rather than the weeks I spent from March to June I spent trying to get a hold of someone at the company by phone messages or emails, none of which were returned in the last two months. A settlement check was issued in early July and sent a week later following the correspondence with the attorney. I have every reason to believe that without the attorney's involvement, no such check would've been issued. Keep a copy of all your correspondence with the company should you have to do the same. Make sure it's in writing.

J Barber Moving and Storage of Fredericksburg, VA was where I began my move to Florida. My move…read morecoordinator, Beverly, was fantastic. Anyone who gets the pleasure of speaking to her will immediately understand what I mean. She answered all my questions and really made me feel at ease with the move. J Barber sent Joe, the driver, to do the Virginia pick up and the Florida drop off. He was great! Very nice, professional, good spirited, and easy going while at the same time very efficient. He made sure all the floors, stair rails, and door facings were covered to avoid any damage. He took care to inventory all the furniture and boxes and made sure everything was properly loaded on the truck. Joe selected a fantastic crew of very hard working individuals (Al, Michael, and Matt) to load my belongings on a shuttle truck (because my driveway wasn't accessible for a larger truck) which was then transferred to a National Van Lines semi truck waiting at the J Barber warehouse. The loading crew wrapped my furniture like it was made of glass. They did such a good job and all my furniture made it without a scratch. Everyone on the pick up crew was courteous and professional. They weren't on their phones or taking smoke breaks as I've experienced in the past. Once in Florida, Joe contacted me to let me know he was in town, and set up a delivery time for the following day. He contracted a local crew (Thomas and James) to unload the truck and set up the furniture in my new home. They worked quickly and did a great job of placing things where I wanted them. They were good natured and made friendly conversation as they worked. No smoking or phone usage on the Florida end either. Joe double checked the area to ensure the furniture was put back together properly and all the trash was picked up. I really appreciated that the pick up driver and the drop off driver was the same person. Anytime it is possible to use the same driver, I would highly recommend doing so. I've moved several times but never using a semi truck so I was nervous about my stuff being transferred once it left my departing house. I can now say without a doubt, my uncertainty was unfounded. This was by far the best move I've ever had. Very smooth and professional. I really can't say enough about how well the move went from beginning to end.

J Barber deserves more than 5 stars. The movers were especially considerate of our high valued furniture, wrapping everything to avoid damage. They went above and beyond to figure out how to get some large pieces where we wanted them. I have moved many times over my career, and J Barber tops all moving companies. It's not even close. Trust me.

Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

I had a very disappointing experience with Two Men and a Truck. We hired them for a move on 8/24,…read moreand they showed up hours late. We were quoted for three men and 6-7 hours of work, costing between $1600-$2000. However, one of the movers did not work at all, spending most of the time on his phone and complaining. The truck was poorly loaded, leaving behind many large items such as our fridge, recliner, rocking chair, and crib. They also damaged a piece of bedroom furniture and lied about it. They promised to return to our old house at 8 am on Sunday to finish the job, but never showed up. After calling around 10 am, one of the movers said he just got out of the shower and wasn't coming, but would be there Monday at 8 am. My husband had to rent a U-Haul trailer so our daughter could sleep in her crib and we could move some of the large items ourselves. On Monday, we waited again for hours. They said they would arrive at 8 am, then 12 pm, but finally showed up at 2:08 pm. I have called and asked for a refund of at least $600 plus reimbursement for the U-haul. They only offered $245, which is not sufficient. Overall, their business practices and customer service were extremely poor. I would not recommend them.

Requested pack and move services, we were quoted what we felt was a reasonable rate. On the day of,…read moreafter the 3 hours of service, the packing was incomplete--entire closets left untouched, drawers still full, they had not even gone into the entire downstairs of the split level--and we were charged $1700 which was the upper end of the WHOLE estimate. Packing was estimated at $700. I called about this concern, FaceTimed with Natasha who agreed that this was unacceptable, should not have happened, and was not what their work standard is. She transferred me to the manager, Seth. Seth contradicted every single thing Natasha had said and that was explained to us during the estimate process. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and insisted that "3 hours for a pack is unrealistic for a house" even though this was what was specifically quoted. His only solution was to "honor the original estimate" and charge $890, for packing that was incomplete and completely unsatisfactory. There are screenshots of texts confirming what we asked for and what was promised.
