Dates seemed to change depending on who I spoke to, which didn't give me much confidence in their reliability. On top of that, the overall tone from customer service felt rushed and uninterested, like they didn't really care about earning my business. It was detailed and complete, listing all materials needed and all of the instructions for moving (what goes, what stays, packing fragile items, etc. 2. The team arrived per schedule, on time and ready. They worked quickly and professionally, and I found them friendly and I observed them taking extra care of my goods as they were loaded on the van. 3. Unloading was quick, and I found them both responsive to my directions for where things needed to wind up, and in fact they created a storage scheme that allowed me to access my kitchen stuff (for instance) without a lot of shuffling and relocating boxes. It was thoughtful and considerate, something I had not even thought about when planning the move. BBG&T were great. Anyone who gets the pleasure of speaking to her will immediately understand what I mean. She answered all my questions and really made me feel at ease with the move. J Barber sent Joe, the driver, to do the Virginia pick up and the Florida drop off. He was great! Very nice, professional, good spirited, and easy going while at the same time very efficient. He made sure all the floors, stair rails, and door facings were covered to avoid any damage. He took care to inventory all the furniture and boxes and made sure everything was properly loaded on the truck. Joe selected a fantastic crew of very hard working individuals (Al, Michael, and Matt) to load my belongings on a shuttle truck (because my driveway wasn't accessible for a larger truck) which was then transferred to a National Van Lines semi truck waiting at the J Barber warehouse. The loading crew wrapped my furniture like it was made of glass. They did such a good job and all my furniture made it without a scratch. Everyone on the pick up crew was courteous and professional. They weren't on their phones or taking smoke breaks as I've experienced in the past. Once in Florida, Joe contacted me to let me know he was in town, and set up a delivery time for the following day. He contracted a local crew (Thomas and James) to unload the truck and set up the furniture in my new home. They worked quickly and did a great job of placing things where I wanted them. They were good natured and made friendly conversation as they worked. No smoking or phone usage on the Florida end either. Joe double checked the area to ensure the furniture was put back together properly and all the trash was picked up. I really appreciated that the pick up driver and the drop off driver was the same person. Anytime it is possible to use the same driver, I would highly recommend doing so. I've moved several times but never using a semi truck so I was nervous about my stuff being transferred once it left my departing house. I can now say without a doubt, my uncertainty was unfounded. This was by far the best move I've ever had. Very smooth and professional. I really can't say enough about how well the move went from beginning to end.

I also thought the service was a good value for the level of work they provided. What I especially appreciated was that they worked with me to find a solution when my plans changed. At one point, I was considering storing my belongings at their warehouse for less than a week. Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. I really appreciated that they were focused on helping me find the most practical and cost-effective solution. I would absolutely recommend them.

I KNOW how long it takes to move my place. Not only did this take more than TWICE as long with allegedly a whole other person, they brought a fourth unauthorized guy. And still took more than half the time. One guy sat in the truck most of the time, I have pictures, the others didn't start on my kitchen until the end, had to wait for that....later to find out when I went back to the old apartment they hadn't even finished the whole kitchen ...ran over my allotted time at the building I was moving out of, at my cost. And then they ruined my couch. So I paid DOUBLE what I was expecting, which was already more than what was quoted cause I was adding a little buffer, but ended up tipping a whole additional person because I'm not a jerk. The guys were nice but inefficient. Kept saying this is what you get with a higher quality mover, but it was not even a better experience. They were wasteful with the amount of packing supplies they used, never presented or communicated the prices of the materials they were using, which I was told was included anyway but also others I never approved or asked for. Just popped it on me in the end. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. But you better believe the charge was instant. I was debating sharing my feedback but was so mad I finally emailed the company. But no one had even dignified me with not even an automated response, just silence. So I come here to do something I pretty much never do. But that's how annoyed I am. Sorry but would rather recommend. Cheap Movers, way better. I used last move were a thousand times better and a QUARTER of the price. I'm not even cheap but I hate being taken for a fool, and it turned out to be just that. That's what I get what I get for using hourly movers for the first time, never again. A slow work scam, exactly what I was worried about, but like an idiot I bought into the reassurances Karen gave me but they truly let her down. I hope she knows they're having her selling lies.
