In fact, it was a refreshing blast from the past as it still has such a lovely old-school Portland flavor! We arrived rather late in the day, so most of the items in their pastry case were sold out with the exception of several cookies. I had a lemon cookie that was soft and buttery, and tasted great with my iced chai latte. I loved checking out the various posters and adverts posted on the window in the front of the store. Kenton is such a bustling and creative neighborhood, and I always enjoy visiting when I can. This part of Portland has a very active arts scene with lots of creatives living in the area, as evidenced by workshop, open studio, and event adverts posted in the windows. I can't wait to come back earlier in the day next time to sample more delicious pastries.
