Found a hidden gem! Went for a slice and wow, can't stop raving about how good it was. Slice was nice, thin, but also good about of sauce PLUS cheesy. Service was fast, menu is decent. So my boyfriend and I decided to get pizza and wings for a night in. I called in my order of a large pie and 10 piece wings. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and paid and left. When we ate the wings were soo good! It was flavored to perfection. The pizza was also tasty. The pizza is a bit chewy and the crust is inconsistent with its consistency. Apparently, the best days to order pizza from here are Mon thru Thurs, when the owner is on site making pies. But when the weekend rolls around, expect a complete, and disheartening 180. A cheese slice on Tuesday will taste like heaven compared to one ordered on Sunday. The difference is in the pizza chef(s). I'm not sure how many actually twirl the dough around, but I do know that Sunday nights are the worst night to order a slice or a pie. If you can, try ordering from Venice or convincing yourself (if you're ordering for one) or convincing others to get in the mood for something else. Pizza Town is a small place that serves a unique tasting slice of pizza, meaning, always crispy and, in my opinion, tasty. The pizza never has that cheap oregano aftertaste that a lot of other pizza joints serve. Let me not fail to mention, fairly priced by the slice or pie. To boot, the owner is a no BS type of guy, and I like that. In my opinion, the best pizza in Linden. This review is long overdue. I've lived in Linden going on 9 years and I've been going to Tony for his pies all 9 years. I have tried all the other spots including Venice, Tucky's, and Two Tony's. Pizza Town is the best. That's the thing about pizzas. Unlike burgers, a "good" slice can be relative. Some people like a crispy crust and some people like a chewy crust. Depending on my mood, either one satisfies the palate. What's really important in a good pizza is the quality of the sauce and the cheese. And I can reassure you, Tony has both. I've eaten at some of the most highly rated and reviewed pizzarias in NYC and NJ. And I know a quality sauce and cheese when I eat one. This is the best pizza in linden I have tried all the small pizzarias in linden. The pizza is heavy and there is a good amount of cheese and sause which makes for a great classic pizza taste. This is a small store-front pizza shop with a few tables in the rear. Their business is mainly take-out and delivery. Store closing times tend to vary with the flow of business. Delivery service has always been prompt and accurate. Now to their pizza's. In my opinion, they make one of the best pies in the Linden area. There's a number of pizza shops along Wood Avenue, but Pizza Town is the smallest and the best. If you like a thin crust pizza - this is the place. The toppings - especially the cheese -- are prime. I totally agree with the previous poster who said the pizza ordered during the week Mon-Thurs is considerably better than pizza ordered over the weekend especially on Sunday! I usually order pizza during the week but 2 weeks ago I made the mistake of ordering on a Sunday & the pizza was stale! By the next day it was hard as a rock! Im convinced that the weekend chef is reheating pizzas made earlier & serving them. The 2 pizzas I got were NOT FRESH! This is one of the worst pizza places I have ever visited. The Cheese crumbled of the pie, which I cant understand considering cheese pulls apart. I tried to fold the slice and what taste like un-cooked dough folded a third time underneath itself. The service sucked and considering no other customers were in the place we our presence and money should have been valued. I'll take "Naples" pizza in Roselle over "Pizza Town" any day. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you want a good pizza eating experience. I see why there's a Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Papa John's up the street. I'm not usually a big pizza eater but when me and my family tried a pie in pizza town right by wood avenue in Linden, I got hooked right away! Wow, it's got so much flavor and I just can't get enough of it. Not only the pie was good coz I tried their dinners as well as their huge sandwiches and it was all Amazing.
