Not great. My daughter & I went her a few years ago; can't remember it being good or bad. I need a full set of acrylics & didn't feel like driving all the way to my regular salon so I thought I'd try them out again. I was greated immediately & my service was started right away. I was there in a Wed after noon. They weren't very busy. I got a full set, french, gel polish with holo glitter overlay, almond shape. Communication was good. As the acrylic was applied, I'm not sure if he was in a hurry or if this was his usual technique but it was done very fast & sloppy. The nails have no apex, they are very flat. There was acrylic all over my cuticles & skin around my nails. Then I was handed off to a 2nd person to do the painting & also left with paint on my skin. I was charged extra for French, gel, glitter, & almond shape. Their menu said "full set acrylic with French tip $35" my bill was $70. Overall a pleasant experience with a pedi and gel French mani but being picky with the skill level, i didn't like how i had to ask a few times to fix imperfections i noticed (i still have some. The white polish on the French tips is spotty). I'm usually oblivious but even i noticed them! Fortunately the beautician was very polite from start to finish. The pedi was my favorite part. You sit in a massage chair, get a leg/foot scrub, hot towel, foot massage, and toenail color for $25 = totally worth it. Oh and they didn't skim on pressure on the foot massage. Didn't know i had knots down there! If you don't like deep pressure be sure to ask to go lightly. Place was clean and easy for me to get a same day appointment during the winter. He said she chose a gel polish not gel nails apparently there is a difference then up charges for the length and cut of the nail. None of this was relayed to her before. Well i might as well go ahead and spark this review up now, while still in process. I came here on recommendation and was not disappointed in the least bit. The staff is friendly and easy going and the interior is bright with lots of natural light and has a wide open floor plan. The manicure tables are on one side and the pedi chairs on the other with plenty of dpace to walk between, which matters when dealing with drying nail paint!!! There is soft meditation like music playing. It creates a very fantastic zen-like feel. I lost myself in my book and the music for a the most part of my pedicure. I only came for a pedicure, which was inexpensively priced but it lasted about an hour. I came during lunch time so there was no one really here and i was immediately seated. The pedi was delicious man. Seriously! For nearly am hour, I sat under natural lights, mood music and getting a good chair back massage while my feet and legs were cared for like they belonged to Diana: Dirty or the Princess!!! My tech was very sweet and gave great leg and foot massages. She painted my toes well, which isnt something everyone has mastered unfortunately. Would i come back?? Oh heck to the yes! I've gone to A Perfect Day Spa for a number of years because it's convenient and they do a good job if you can wait and wait for your supposed "appointment ". Sadly, this week was the last straw due to their inability to keep their appointments. Ever. As in NEVER. If they didn't take appointments, I'd understand. I have made appointments convenient for me. I made appointments convenient for A Perfect Day Spa specifically so I don't have to wait for 1/2 an hour for my supposed "appointment". One of the many times they weren't ready, I asked when I should come back and came back at the time they said but, nope, that didn't work so I left. The "last straw" came a day ago. After arranging on a Monday with Ben by phone, to come in on Thursday to prep for a wedding, I showed up at 6. It was clear they were not ready for me and would not be for some time. I asked Jenny how long it would be and shared that it is frustrating to make appointments when she allows folks who are quite late for their appointments to keep them which delays others. She apologized and said, "Well, after work is busy." Well, why commit to an appointment? I write this from a salon near where the wedding I'll be attending is. Their policy, walk ins only. Bottom line - if you don't mind waiting a long time, go for it. If not, save yourself aggravation. I phoned Jenny to tell her I'd never written a poor review because I remained hopeful. I've been getting my nails done with acrylics for about a year and a half consistently. Went in with my barely grown out set done elsewhere. I left due to my finger getting split open right after having the nail tech filed down my nails so roughly that my thumb nail split. She then proceeded to act like she had no idea why that would have happened. On top of this, she started to finish them being all completely different lengths and entirely uneven. I went into to get a pedicure and very pleased with the outcome. As soon as I came, I was seated and serviced pretty quickly. The water was nice and warm and just right. The seats were very comfortable and I think I use every single setting.lol! The spa was very clean and It didn't have a pungent smell. Tech took her time with my pedicure. My daughter and I were in town visiting family and we wanted a pedicure. This spa is very nice, clean and has a calm atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we walked in around 4 pm, but it did get busier while we were there. The pedi was very well done and the foot and leg massage was amazing. Honestly the worst experience of my life!!!! My nails are bridle my fingers hurt raw and my nails are extremely short. My feet feel raw as well. So I decided to have a mommy makeover after my son being born and getting a pedi and full set was part of that. I arrive with my sister, the gentleman who greeted us was very short from the start. They sent us to look at the very few old nail polish colors they had. He proceeded to do my sisters full set ( which she says he was short, would ignore her, manhandled her fingers as well and refused to give her the shape she asked for) and I was sent with a nice lady but that spoke 0 to no English to do my pedi. I have never had someone so roughly and for so long try to file the bottom of my feet until they literally hurt. And filed my toes, which I didn't know that was a thing. She clipped to much from the sides of my toenails, which now hurt. I couldn't find a way of making her understand that it was hurting. Then came the time to do my set. To try to keep it as short as possible. She was very new it was sloppy and messy, I doubt she was licensed. The tips were to big, over glued and still weren't attached to my nails. The acrylic was all over EACH finger and under the nail tips. She dug her nails into my fingers to forcefully get them unattached. My fingers were so sore and she proceeds to file my nails and skin. I decided to not have her paint over them since that whole process took so long. I paid and started heading home when I notice this space between my nail and the actual tip and acrylic where I could literally shove paper between them. I go back very kindly and ask if it can be fixed to avoid any fungus build up. The same gentleman immediately got upset took me to a table and with no warning manhandled my fingers pushing my nails back to try to see if there was a gap just hurting me, and filed away at my nails and nail bed to try to make the space disappear. Causing me more pain! And then starts dumping more nail glue as if that would help, just making it worse but the gap was still there. He gets frustrated and sends someone else. All while I'm trying to stay calm and show them the gap is still there!. The other lady comes and basically starts putting a clear coat on to send me out. I apologized ( which now I know I had nothing to apologize for) and made clear I'm not trying to be rude I just need it fixed since I did pay for this service. They kept acting like I was crazy. So I asked if the First Lady that attended me was licensed and I could see she got nervous and so I decided to have it all removed and get my refund. The staff was rude. Literally talking about me and pointing and eyeballing me and laughing and shaking their heads. Mind you I never once got loud or made a scene. Also, when I returned I noticed all these other people getting pedis with so much more care then I did. Idk if they don't like Brown people but that also made me feel worse. Mind you I'm dealing with postpartum depression and just trying to have a mommy makeover day to have it end with such disrespect and horrible service. I am so in love with "perfect day spa" and I can not say enough about Ben. Everyone seems warm and friendly, but Ben is my guy! I have extremely difficult nails to do and to keep them in place because of my super short nail beds and I work in water constantly, but Ben is the first nail tech in 20 years to pull that off. He is very knowledgeable about nails and many other topics, so it's always a joy to talk to him. He is this city's best kept secret. I work at Ortho Indy and most of us go see Ben. The Spa itself is clean and beautiful a very calming environment. Jenny is also a gracious host and although she is not my nails tech, I hear amazing things about her as well. Hey Yelper! I've been going here since March 2017. I decided I'd start getting acrylic nails again after a 25 year hiatus. The first time I went I thought they were done well, but remember I hadn't had them done since the early 90's. The next time I went the only male in the shop did them and they were even better! I like the calm atmosphere, a mature clientele, and the fact I can usually get in within an hour during non-peak hours. I'm taking my husband for an anniversary treat pedi this weekend. I came in on a Sunday at 1:00pm the guy there said they were busy and it would be an hour wait. I said can I just make an appointment for later today at whatever time is best for you. He said 2:30, I said ok. Me and my daughter came back at 2:25 and sat down. He said that it would be just a minute which turned out to be about 30 minutes. It's cool no problem, they take me to get my pedicure and my daughter to get her soak off and overlay. While I'm getting my pedicure I'm soaking my nails off cause I'm getting a full set as well. The lady starts doing my pedi and before 15 minutes could pass she says I'm done. I look down like wow that was quick, of course it looked horrible. The polish didn't cover my entire toe, she didn't file them or cut them. I was upset but kept my cool. They then told me to have a seat in the front chair next to my daughter who was currently being done by the guy. The lady says I'll be there in just a minute and i say ok. I'm sitting and sitting and sitting and sitting. She's starts to do 2 pedi's on her friends that just came in the door. The longer i sat the more upset i became. It's now 4:30 and I have a jacked up pedi and nails with acetone on them. So at 5:00 my daughter is almost done (because they were doing construction and the guy had to keep getting up helping the constructions guys and to answer phones, etc.) he says can u guys switch seats and I'll start on you. Mind you, my daughter isn't done, so I'm like I've had it, is there anyone that can take the rest of these acetone nails off me so I can go. The guy gets mad and he's like that will be $50 for u. $50 dam dollars for a jacked up pedi and some jacked up nails that they just soaked off, are u freaking serious? No cut to my nails, no polish, nothing! I wasn't going to pay but I'm not that kind of person, but I will NEVER IN MY LIFE GO BACK TO THIS PIECE OF SHIT! There was another lady there when I first came in and she was upset about her bill! So they showed me who they are and I'm good. I found a nice lovely spa that treats their customers with respect!
