It took over a year to get it completed, and that is not including the approval and variances from the town! There were constant delays where he didn't have the staff to show up and code violations that had to be redone. On one occasion he sent his guys here without a ladder and told them "you can just use the homeowner's". REALLY ?!?! Nobody asked me about it and I'm not going to be liable when one of your guys falls off my ladder! On another occasion they used my hand tools I had outside without asking. And one other time they used my lumber I had outside from a project I was working on! The work was structurally solid, but the finish work was not good. Plastic labels were left on lumber instead of removing before installation, cut ends were not hidden when it would have been easy to do so. We had him install a "Drink Rail" on the porch hand rail, but then he installed the screen on the inside of the porch making the wider railing inaccessible and impossible to put a drink on. He installed the screen on the inside because it was easier for him - though he told me it would be easier for me to replace them. I might replace them once maybe twice in my life, but I will be constantly looking for a place to put my drink. At that point I was so done with him that I didn't care I just wanted to be done with this project. His guys were all very nice and helpful to us, but none of them spoke well of Larry. He seems very unorganized, unable to run his staff well, treat his staff well and frankly I'm amazed he's still in business. One of his guys was fired by Larry multiple times but kept being hired back because Larry needed him. Save yourself the anguish and the fights over the phone. Stay away from this guy.

While he was always very prompt at responding to us with any questions/concerns, at one point I felt that I needed to have some sort of paper trail and would only communicate with him via text/email as many things that were discussed had been forgotten or confused. The job also took 4 months longer than it was supposed to (contract said estimated completion in April 2018, job wasn't completed until August 2018). However, the basement looks beautiful and I am happy with the final product. One of his main guys Brian, and Larry's partner Kim, were very easy to work with, while we sometimes had push-back from Larry on ideas of ours. Upon final inspection, he pointed out flaws in the work done by some of his "inexperienced" workers (his words) and basically threw his own guys under the bus. I appreciate the honesty but that came off as a bit unprofessional. I believe that doing decks/porches are more their forte, as they have lots of amazing reviews for that kind of work. Maybe finishing a basement is too big of a job for them?

The work began in September and ended in October. We were fortunate that the weather was gorgeous but it could have turned quickly. So Anton and his crew would often work till dark ( 8:00 PM) and showed up on Saturdays when necessary. The job was completed as promised. Promises made, promises kept. You can't beat that! Another professional and amazing point I should add is their respect for your home. Everyone expects a crew to clean up when the full job is complete. But Anton and his crew cleaned the entire place every single day they worked. I often watched Anton late in the evening "dusting off" the saw dust created from the carpentry work from our lawn. I doubt other crews do the same. This is the only crew we will be hiring from now on, and neighbors have been asking who did our job and can they get the contact info. Yup. Skilled professionals are hard to find. We are very happy with the job and will be having them back to do some stone steps and railings.

Liberty was brought-in to renovate a vacant apartment above mine. Their project manager screwed-up…read moreand left the water running in the apartment after they closed everything up, causing water damage to the entire line of apartments below (4, including mine). At first, Liberty was very understanding and came and cosmetically fixed all the water damage on the ceiling and our wood floors (dehumidifier, sanding, staining). This initial response was fast and reasonable...they finished this by mid-January 2018. By early March 2018, the area of the floor that was dried/sanded/stained began to crack and separate with visible gaps between the floorboards in the apartment we had just purchased 1 year prior. I have spent the last 6 months dealing with Liberty to get their contractors into my apartment to survey the damage and fix (replace, re-sand, and re-stain) our wood floors. They have ignored calls and emails, dragged their feet in getting someone to even take a look at the damage, and had the nerve to try to bring in a second contractor to take a look in order to keep their costs down (this is 2 months after the first contractor had already taken a look and assessed the damage). I've had multiple points of contact, changing on a monthly basis, with nobody seeming interested in solving the problem and damage that they caused. Since March 2018, after numerous calls and emails, and threats of involving legal action, all Liberty Environmental Management can tell us is that the insurance company is reviewing the claim. But, they can't tell me when the insurance company will approve disbursement of payment, which means it's dragging-on even longer...all this for a $1500 and 3-day job to fix damage they caused.
