Tree Removal. I'll…read morestart at the end. Over decades, we've had the pleasure of using Limber Tree for tree removal. What a mess it makes, but their final cleanup has always left our yard markedly neater than it was when their trucks arrived that morning. Consider it a given. Consider also the peace of mind we're given by have a written estimate, citing each tree's contribution to the total cost, specifying the implements required, chipping and haul-off costs and risk factors, if any. I've had "estimates" shown me as no more than a jocular "We'll get 'er done!" Limber Tree's is at the opposite end of the trust spectrum...and if they end up spending less time/mileage/equipment than first envisioned, we've seen those savings siphoned right back into our pockets. The job quality couldn't be better or more safely performed. We don't opt for stump removal, but what remains is each left as a clean, level face, cut as low to the ground as possible. They could serve as firm bases for whatever one does to decorate stumps, or even as picnic tables―but only if you're very short. I can hardly be more superlative: From start to finish, our experience with this firm commands a solid string of fives.

If I could give more than five stars, I would--because Dave's Tree Service didn't just remove my…read moretrees, they performed a full-blown front yard exorcism. I had sixteen very tall, very ugly locust trees standing in my front yard like a lineup of leafy trolls, blocking the light and branches falling on my house every time the wind blows. I called Dave, hoping for a consultation sometime in the next week. He showed up within half an hour. I hadn't even finished my coffee. A few mornings later, I woke up to what can only be described as an elite squad of tree ninjas pulling up with cranes, chippers, trucks, and the kind of quiet confidence that says "We've got this." Every single person on Dave's team was professional, respectful, and weirdly cheerful for people about to take down a small forest. Some went up in cranes like it was nothing, snipping off those hideous branches with precision. Others fed whole trees into the chipper like it was lunchtime. They ground down the stumps, hauled off truckloads of sawdust, and one young man stayed behind to sweep up the driveway and the street like it was opening night on Broadway. And here's the kicker: not a single flower or plant in my yard was touched. It was like the trees vanished in a puff of sawdust-scented magic. All in one day. Also: Dave himself? Charming. Honest. Knowledgeable. Probably part tree (but, like, in a hot dryad kind of way). You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it absolutely shows in the work. If you live in or near Rhinebeck and you've got tree troubles, don't hesitate. Don't Google. Just call Dave. Your trees will thank you. Your neighbors will thank you. Your insurance company will probably name their next child after you.

Out of the 3 or 4 landscaping companies I looked into, something about Rodriguez Lawn Care said,…read more'this is it'. When hubs called and requested a visit, Fabricio penciled us in for a quote and Saturday walkthrough so he and his company could provide an accurate estimate and full assessment of the current exterior condition. We also wanted to let him know what the plan was: get rid of old tree trunks that were eyesores, create planting beds, add mulch (not orange. Not black. Natural, thank you very much). To add, Rodriguez Lawn Care isn't just 'lawn care'- they actually run the gamut: decking, exterior painting, irrigation systems, etc. Instead of opting for the large shrubs, we considered the younger plants as opposed to the full-grown kind since we want to see their progression. So Fabricio selected small Boxwoods and Spirea for the walkway to start for now. Communication between hubs and Fabricio has been crystal clear in the last 2 months and we have no complaints. When we're not around, he has full access of the outside grounds and takes care of business.
