After a break-in, we called several places to get the glass replaced in the window they broke. Mouyad was the only person we called who had the glass. Sometimes synchronicity works. Not only did he do an excellent job on our replacement glass (seriously top-notch, took his time, explained things, cleaned up everything!), but he offered to give us a quote on replacing our windows, which were considering doing anyway. WOW! I spent a couple weeks wasting my time getting several bids for my large "Picture Window" in my Ballard bungalow. I wish I had called A-One first! The rare ability to establish sincere rapport was evident after only a few words spoken with Moyad. As I listened to him...I was thinking "He's the guy!". He showed-up for the bid on time and was pleasant as could be. Other companies told me they were "2 weeks out" to even get the glass. He assured me that A-One has it in stock. YAYYYY! So. When I went through all the outrageous bids, and thought about those from whom I had gotten bids, it was no contest. I called Moyad on Friday and he said, "How about Monday at noon?" Bang! Just like that, we were going to have our new window. I bought the new quarter round molding to replace the rotten stuff that would be removed; and the finishing nails. When I informed Moyad of this, he was so sincerely grateful and thanked me heartily. The installation was a meeting of the minds and I was more than happy to assist with cutting back a shrub that was in the way...supplying he, and his cool brother, with my drill to make pilot holes to keep from splitting the molding with the fat finishing nails. They put up the scaffolding and got the old window out. It was a beast of a piece...8.5 ft X 5.0 ft. and I observed how they struggled with the weight. When in the house, Moyad was great about keeping all the old caulking pieces cleaned-up and my Labrador immediately thought he was a Pack Member. When it came time to put the H U G E replacement piece in place, I knew they were going to be "up against it". Soon, it became obvious that they needed a third set of hands. I was more than happy to be that guy. The three of us worked well together and in one smooth motion got that pain...I mean...pane muscled into place. It was poetry, as well as, an adrenaline moment. WHEW! The rest was cake. I had a cool old hammer, that I inherited from my grandpa, that was designed for pounding finishing nails. I offered it and they saw the unique usefulness of it. At that point, I had to go pick-up my TDI at Carter VW and I left them feeling totally comfortable with them having access to my house and being cool with my dog. When I returned, they were securing my old glass to their truck. (Other companies charge extra to take it away. Not A-One Glass...it never even came-up!) When I returned, I paid them and we all enjoyed that we had bonded doing this job. I went inside and found all my tools were neatly placed on my dog's futon. It could not have been better. I found out about A-one Glass through a Craigslist add as we needed a large window for our backyard. After calling several different window places for bids, A-One, not only blew their quotes out of the water - Moyad (The Owner) was friendly, honest, and fair. He said the window would be ready in 4-5 days. He called me on the 5th day, and said he would be at my house that afternoon. I called other window places based on, what turned out to be "teaser" ads/deals, and never called them back. (One in particular changed/upped the price 4 times!) FANTASTIC! I called seven companies around Seattle and the Eastside to fix a broken window panel in my 1925 door. A-One glass had the best price, was able to come out the day I called and Mouyad was so kind...when he arrived at my house he called rather than knocking on the door so as to not wake my sleeping baby. From our initial interactions with the owner of A One Glass, Moyad, he appeared to be a friendly, honest and a reliable business person. But after he had replaced the glass in our pivoting window, it would no longer close to align with the frame. It has lost it's ability to be weather tight or able to be secured. The window is now sagging and misaligned with the frame. When approaching him about this condition, he became unreasonable and refused to to take responsibility. We would recommend in the future no one do business with A One Glass. There appears to be a lack of experience or know-how with windows themselves and the ability to handle issues directly outside of replacing the glass. read more

A window was broken when moving into our new house - a small pane on a leaded window. We called and got a quote quickly for service and scheduled a next-day appointment, having been given a time frame from 12-2 for repairs. At 3:30, we called and learned that they had forgotten about our appointment and, after all, they could not fix a leaded window. The information about the type of window had been conveyed to them the day before when booking the appointment and we had taken a day off work to wait around for them. Not sure where all the positive reviews come from; my experience was awful. Website says business is open 7 days a week; it took two days to get a return phone call after leaving a message about a broken window at my house. Someone calls two days after the first message, leaves a message and I call back. No answer and I leave a second message -- twice, actually, over several hours. Get a call several hours after my last message from someone who asks for a different person (not me) and I explain that he has the wrong number. After hanging up, I recognize the number on the caller ID and call back immediately. No answer, left another message. No call back. Called back again and actually got him on the phone; he quotes $250 to replace one pane of glass in a wood frame window. High, but I accept it anyway because I need to get it fixed and to secure my house. Set an appointment. Yep. You guessed it. Doesn't show up. No call. Sit and wait for hours on a Saturday morning for nothing. Called one more time to see if there was a reason and nope.... No answer. 6 days since the original call and still stuck with a broken window for a guy who doesn't return calls or show up when agreed. Based on my experience, I wouldn't bother with this guy. Clearly, he doesn't seem to care and he won't bother with you. read more

These guys were as good as it gets. We hired A-one to fix a single-paned window in our 1905 house that was broken by a soccer ball. Mouyad was responsive, efficient, professional and personable. His price was more than $100 better than the other bid we received (both were for tempered glass) and, when the work was done, his actual price came in even lower than the quote. We made an appointment a week and a half in advance for a weekday 9am broken window repair at my house which was confirmed in writing. I took the morning off from work to meet them but 13 minutes before they were supposed to arrive they sent an email cancelling, stating not a single person could come over for the entire day. We broke a bedroom window moving some things, called A-one this morning and the owner was out by 12pm to install the new window into the frame. He had given a time frame of between noon and two so being so prompt really helped! He was able to cut and fit the glass into the frame on site, reinstalled the window and you'd never know he was even there. No mess left behind, extremely nice, and polite and let us know ahead of time what he needed to do to the window and frame and doubled checked to make sure it was okay. The price was great, much less than what we expected a job like that to be. Took him about an hour and fifteen from start to finish, cannot beat that!
