Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The check engine light has come on six different times since I purchased the vehicle. The car has repeatedly been brought back to Lynchburg Nissan for the same ongoing problem, yet the issue has continued. Having a check engine light repeatedly come on in a brand-new vehicle is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. After dealing with the same problem over and over, I attempted to work with Lynchburg Nissan to replace the vehicle because of the ongoing issues. Unfortunately, I felt that I was treated unprofessionally and disrespectfully during that process. Rather than feeling like a valued customer who had just purchased a brand-new vehicle, I felt as though I was being made to feel like the problem for asking for help with a vehicle that continued to have the same issue. I bought this car in good faith and expected Lynchburg Nissan to stand behind the vehicle they sold me. Six occurrences of the same check-engine problem in a new vehicle is not what I expected when purchasing a Nissan Sentra SL. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Lynchburg Nissan to do their research and carefully consider how the dealership handles repeated problems and customer concerns after the sale. A customer who spends their hard-earned money on a brand-new vehicle deserves a reliable vehicle, a reasonable solution when problems arise, and to be treated with professionalism and respect. I would have given it 3 stars, but because they confronted me in a very negative way and made me change the rating under duress so I will not give them more than a 2 star rating. I went into the dealership today to drop my friend off so he could pick up his vehicle, and the owner confronted me about the review, even stating that I had nerve coming back. A woman whom I presume is his wife then also confronted me after I stated there was funny business with the initial charge. They gas-lit me stating that the quote was accurate because the part cost $100 more. I have a copy of the invoice which means they would have originally estimated the part for $4.61. If a working power steering pump for a '97 Buick LeSabre for $4.61 exists I would be utterly shocked. I was told I WILL give a 5 star review, but I will not be coerced into lying about my experience.
