WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Purchased a vehicle…read morefrom this dealership and with in a year had to replace the motor. The company refused to take any responsibility and I had to come out of pocket for the full expense. After the motor was replaced, with in a week the vehicle check engine lights came on. I took the vehicle and they suggested replacing the MAF SENSOR, did not fix issue more money spent! The light came back on when I went to pick the vehicle up. They then determined it was the throttle body, did not fix issue more money spent. A week later the vehicle wouldn't start again. I had to tow the vehicle a second time back to the dealership out of pocket. They stated it was the starter now. Replaced the starter and the vehicle was driven home. The next week the vehicle wouldn't start again start again. They refused to cover the tow to their shop and expected me to cover a third tow. I refused and they advise me to go somewhere else!!! Worst business ever!!

I am a long time mechanic, formerly a Master ASE Technician and Master Driveability Tech and try to help folks with their cars and problems. While waiting I googled the Vin and they claimed it had 64, 000 miles roughly which was very low! I got all kind of flags on the car suggesting the mileage was over 120,000 miles and it had been wrecked!! The salesman breathlessly called me back and told me they already had it going to a "wholesaler" BUT I could buy it out from them for only $5,999.00!!! I wouldn't send anybody to this dealer........they are the kinda folks that give ALL CAR Dealers a bad reputation!! You have been warned!!

We brought our 2016 Kia Optima in for a known engine issue related to the class action lawsuit warranty. Kia of Lynchburg failed to properly place our vehicle under the class action warranty in the first place, which already caused major delays. After that, we were told the engine was replaced. However, when we received the car back, it was returned to us with no coolant in the engine. The vehicle only made it 99 miles on the "new" engine before throwing the exact same P1326 code again. So after two months, an engine replacement, and countless phone calls, we are still in the exact same position -- no car, no resolution, and no accountability. The lack of communication and responsibility throughout this entire process has been shocking. We constantly had to chase updates, were given vague or inconsistent information, and at no point felt like this dealership took ownership of what was clearly a serious failure. This has cost us an extreme amount of time, stress, and disruption to our lives. A dealership should be able to handle a class action warranty repair and an engine replacement correctly and safely. Kia of Lynchburg failed to do both. This is easily the worst service experience we have ever had with any dealership. We would strongly warn others to avoid Kia of Lynchburg's service department.

UPDATE: Today is 10/31/24. I purchased my vehicle on 8/23/24. And although it was As Is...the…read moreissues I've had in the last 2 months are unacceptable. And the response I've gotten from the dealership was to place blame on the customer and not accept responsibility. By Sept 28th I had to replace front brakes, calibers, a tire and get a 4 wheel alignment. I reached out and they only asked me to bring it to them which I was unable to drive so I got it fixed locally. I was told then that the person checking it may not be correct in their findings. I have attaches pictures of the worn brakes, caliber and tire that had to be replaced. Now on Oct 31st I'm having to have the truck towed due to the front driver side bearings and hub needing to be replaced. Again no responsibility was accepted from the dealership. I feel that the inspection that was done in July 2024 was inaccurate and was told that that was not the case because the top mechanic did it and Mr. Griffin not willing to accept the fact that something could've been overlooked. I was also asked what my concerns were and as I tried to explain them, I was over talked and then when I in turn overtalked to that person, it was told to that me raising my voice did not make me right. As an adult I will say I did get upset with my wording and the final resolution was me being hung up on so my issues still have not been corrected and I'm having to come out of pocket again. What should've been a great purchase has turned into a complete nightmare. Original posting 8/23/24...Working with Jesse was a wonderful process. I was in and out within 2hrs. He was very accommodating, answered all 3 billion of my questions and made the transaction easy! He and the staff at 1st Choice Motors were awesome!!!
