The company refused to take any responsibility and I had to come out of pocket for the full expense. After the motor was replaced, with in a week the vehicle check engine lights came on. I took the vehicle and they suggested replacing the MAF SENSOR, did not fix issue more money spent! The light came back on when I went to pick the vehicle up. They then determined it was the throttle body, did not fix issue more money spent. A week later the vehicle wouldn't start again. I had to tow the vehicle a second time back to the dealership out of pocket. They stated it was the starter now. Replaced the starter and the vehicle was driven home. The next week the vehicle wouldn't start again start again. They refused to cover the tow to their shop and expected me to cover a third tow. I refused and they advise me to go somewhere else!!! Worst business ever!!

I got all kind of flags on the car suggesting the mileage was over 120,000 miles and it had been wrecked!! The salesman breathlessly called me back and told me they already had it going to a "wholesaler" BUT I could buy it out from them for only $5,999.00!!! I wouldn't send anybody to this dealer........they are the kinda folks that give ALL CAR Dealers a bad reputation!! You have been warned!!

They refused to do any warranty work on a previous vehicle. One of my current vehicles needed a transmission and they claimed there were none in stock and it will be months before they could the parts. Another Ford dealership 2 hours away had the transmission kit and said the Ford warehouse had plenty of them as well and could have it delivered within a few days. A few months back I needed a sunroof motor and I was quoted $3,000 for this. I would rather drive or tow my vehicle 2 hours away then to deal with this dealership.

We brought our 2016 Kia Optima in for a known engine issue related to the class action lawsuit warranty. Kia of Lynchburg failed to properly place our vehicle under the class action warranty in the first place, which already caused major delays. After that, we were told the engine was replaced. However, when we received the car back, it was returned to us with no coolant in the engine. The vehicle only made it 99 miles on the "new" engine before throwing the exact same P1326 code again. So after two months, an engine replacement, and countless phone calls, we are still in the exact same position -- no car, no resolution, and no accountability. The lack of communication and responsibility throughout this entire process has been shocking. We constantly had to chase updates, were given vague or inconsistent information, and at no point felt like this dealership took ownership of what was clearly a serious failure. This has cost us an extreme amount of time, stress, and disruption to our lives. A dealership should be able to handle a class action warranty repair and an engine replacement correctly and safely. Kia of Lynchburg failed to do both. This is easily the worst service experience we have ever had with any dealership. We would strongly warn others to avoid Kia of Lynchburg's service department.

And the response I've gotten from the dealership was to place blame on the customer and not accept responsibility. By Sept 28th I had to replace front brakes, calibers, a tire and get a 4 wheel alignment. I reached out and they only asked me to bring it to them which I was unable to drive so I got it fixed locally. I was told then that the person checking it may not be correct in their findings. I have attaches pictures of the worn brakes, caliber and tire that had to be replaced. Now on Oct 31st I'm having to have the truck towed due to the front driver side bearings and hub needing to be replaced. Again no responsibility was accepted from the dealership. I feel that the inspection that was done in July 2024 was inaccurate and was told that that was not the case because the top mechanic did it and Mr. Griffin not willing to accept the fact that something could've been overlooked. I was also asked what my concerns were and as I tried to explain them, I was over talked and then when I in turn overtalked to that person, it was told to that me raising my voice did not make me right. As an adult I will say I did get upset with my wording and the final resolution was me being hung up on so my issues still have not been corrected and I'm having to come out of pocket again. We sold our trade to CarMax the next business day and then they refused to honor our deal while still holding our deposit. I wouldn't recommend anyone even consider this dealership, avoid if at all possible. We are still waiting to see if they are going to refund us our deposit or not. So far all we have is a verbal promise to do so, but they've already proven they will not honor those. Update: they did refund us the deposit. Sadly, we have been their customer for over 5 years until this experience. That franchise has evidently been negatively impacted by the current market pressures.

I had a scheduled appointment at 11:30 AM and I did not get my car back until nearly 2 PM and this was only after I went into the service area and found my service ticket on the service desk. Unsure as to how long it been sitting on that desk I commented to the young lady that 2 1/2 rather long for a simple oil change, and I immediately got an earful. The service advisor, Amanda, proceeded to tell me how terrible her day was going, and how much of an inconvenience it was to stay on top of things seems to me someone needs to remind Amanda that she's in a service industry, and her level of customer service is somewhat disappointing. As for the work that was performed, I'm sure that was satisfaction and no issues with the service team.

My 2014 Volvo S60 wouldn't start 3 weeks ago. My husband had it towed to Berglund because they are…read morecertified (so we thought) to fix this type of car and not only do they sell them, but also Mercedes, BMWs, & several other luxury foreign cars. However, after attempting to contact them for days they wasn't able to give us a definite answer. We only got that there may be some bent valves and the only way to find out was to remove the engine and the starting cost was $2000, but he wasn't sure if that would solve the problem. We called back and left messages for several days so that we could pay the diagnostics and get it towed to someone who would give us a definite answer. When my husband finally talked to the service guy he said they were able to fully diagnose the car and required that we get a new engine that would end being $4700 for engine only and not labor. We did find out he had called another mechanic to ask questions about purchasing an engine and repairing it. This was 2 weeks of run around and we were very disappointed with the service we received from Berglund and had to have it towed to another place. I do not recommend Berglund for service.
