Bernardo is sweet. Took my two pups who have been going to grooming monthly for over seven years no matter where we have lived. 'The pups' are 7 years old and really easy. Everyone loves them and they love everyone. They are used to grooming and so I was shocked with this experience. Finally got an appointment here and was excited because it's right down the street. This is the FIRST time ever that they came home nervous and anxious. Called back because their pads were not clipped. Was given an appointment two days out and my two were not happy when we arrived! They came out after ten minutes shaking and nervous. Oh well! Guess I'll go back to their favorite groomer even if she's not right down the street. read more

What a wonderful place and an absolutely lovely man who owns/runs it! I have a big Hog of a Dog! She's a German Shepherd...they should call them German Shedders because the fur is non-stop! He did such a great job! She came home with less hair (Yay!), she smelled great, and most importantly, stopped scratching herself! Took my dog in to get help with his dry skin. Bernardo recommended a scrub with a dry skin treatment he had. I have been taking my dog back ever since. He comes home smelling great and always happy. The price is very reasonable so I don't think I will be changing groomers anytime soon. This place is usually busy so I recommend making an appointment. read more

Bernardo does the best job in town. Hands down! We've been going to him for well over 15 years with several dogs way back when he was the groomer at Montecito dog salon when it was on Coast Village Rd. He has a great reputation with locals as he's been around for so long! We've tried newer places but our dog is never groomed as well and never stays clean for as long! We have a bench springer spaniel now. Never any "nicks" and our dog is never scared to go to his place which says a lot! The wait to get in to see him is a bit out but really I don't mind since it's so worth the wait. A little hesitant to write this review because I don't want him to get to much busier but if he does I'm wishing he'll open a second location in Montecito. :) read more

This is the only place I take my dog to get groomed. I have a Siberia Husky and everyone knows how much they shed and how much attention they need when it comes to grooming. My dog was passed due for a grooming so I took him and was impressed as always. The guy is really professional and amazing at his job. My dog came back super shiny and smelling great. You can see the attitude change when he comes back because he's always happy to be freshly washed. Love this place read more

Bernardo is the absolute best groomer there is. We have had very nervous dogs in the past who hated going to the groomers and would go in and come out of other groomers shaking, but it's never been that way with Bernardo. They are nervous at first, but happy and beautiful when we pick them up. No shaking and tails wagging. He truly loves dogs and treats them with love and concern when they are in his care. These are the most caring groomers I have ever met! They actually have you come back to have the hair in the ears gently removed over the course of two visits rather than all at once with numbing creams. Wonderful people & my old english has always left happy. Although they are located in Carp which is about 15 minutes south of Santa Barbara, their location is so convenient right off & back on the highway easily. :) read more
