I discovered Buttons-N-Bows while I was looking for an online seller who sells the Bonnie Blue…read morePattern line. Whenever possible I like to support small businesses. When I ordered the first time I had not realized that Paypal used my old address for the shipping even though I changed it quite some time ago. I wondered why it never arrived and discovered the issue when I finally went to paypal to look. I re-ordered and alerted the owner of the shop that it could be possible that the first order may be returned and to make sure to send the new order to my new address. The lady responded that if it comes she will let me know and issue a refund. The second order arrived in a timely manner without issue and is as good as or better than I was expecting. A week later I received the first order because the new occupants of our former residence were kind enough to forward it. I contacted Buttons and Bows and asked if I might be able to return the one that arrived from the first order and exchange it for a different pattern. She said it would be fine and so I will do this. It was kind of her to work with me on this mix up when she really did not have to be accommodating at all. I do love the selection of products offered at this store and I learned of several other pattern companies that Buttons and Bows carries which I would like to sew for my children. Browsing through the patterns they offer created so much inspiration for the possibilities of what I could make for my daughters. The quality of the patterns is much better than what is typically offered in big name crafting stores such as JoAnn's and I do not mind paying for good quality that will last through many sewing sessions over the years. I think the prices are reasonable considering it is a mom and pop shop and it sells higher-end and not as easily found patterns and other items. I will definitely order from here again and would recommend it to others who are sewing for children.

This shop carries fabrics you cannot find anywhere else. They have a ton of quilting fabrics and…read moresupplies, but the most important thing for me as a customer is the fabric for children's clothing. It is a smocking heaven with pre-pleated and constructed garments ready to be smocked and the selection of quality fabrics is impressive. When I am making a special item whether it be a dress or quilt, this is where I go to purchase fabric; an heirloom item needs to be made with the best quality available and they have it all! The ladies are experienced and super helpful when I need assistance-I love going there.

There have been so many things said about their selection - it truly has everything you need! But…read morewhen it comes to quilting and so many other hobbies, It is the people and the service that they graciously give!! You truly can't put a price tag On service these days. I cannot express how many times they have taken the time to explain things to me that I didnt quite understand. I hate to drop names because then I might leave someone out because they are all filled with beautiful sunshiny smiles. We trust them especially with our purchases of Bernini's products like the 880 plus and the Bernina Longarm Q24 with QMatic. They never pressured us on sales while we took quite a long time reviewing it. They worked with us every step of the way, answering all our questions. Most importantly, with any purchase, you want to make sure they can service it - as far as that goes, it is top drawer service! I love all the ladies!!! I really do!! Ok, I will have to mention a few that always seem to be there when I come and that are treasures for the store and are filled with such graciousness and knowledge: Julie, Avery and Melissa. There are so many others but their names escape me. You need a class???? They have them all!!

All of their little doohickeys & accessories have security tags locking them into the display hooks. Their hours stated on their voicemail are wrong. They are *NOT* open Sundays.

**************A SEAMSTRESS DREAM*************************…read moreLORD HAVE MERCY, a dream come true. I had never heard of this place before I stepped foot in it to make a masterpiece. I had actually visited on Good Friday and they were closed. I live in Katy and it was a 30 minute drive. I was upset but kind of my fault because you should always call a new place first before visiting. I pulled up and saw no cars and was surely disappointed. I politely got back in my car and decided I would visit another day. Well the following week I decided to visit because I needed to drop shoes off at the shoe shop. I walked in and felt like I was dreaming. It was such a variety of material it was unreal. I am not a seamstress but I have a creative vein for making a masterpiece. I decided to take my time and walk around and observe, look and allow my creative juices to flow. Then an angel appeared CLAUDIA, she was the sweetest girl ever. She answered all of my questions, offered expertise knowledge and helped me sort through many different options. Of course a creative person never makes choices overnight. So I left the store and told her I would return soon. The following week I returned with more choices and the need to make a final decision. When she seen the masterpiece she was floored. She then proceeded to talk about her mother's 50th birthday. It was funny because I am preparing for my 50th birthday and I was sharing with her that I don't mind sharing information with her as well to make her mother's event a success. What impressed me the most is all of the staff are welcoming to all ages and race along with being bilingual. I am always disgusted when I walk into an establishment and no one speaks ENGLISH which is the first language in HOUSTON. They are all nice and helpful CLAUDIA, stood out to me because she helped me personally. She was absolutely amazing. She gave hands on expertise and was very patient and kind. It was my first time in the store and she made me feel welcome. Her energy and poise were unmatched. I am looking forward to shopping at this establishment again.

Excellent selection of fabrics. My wife found exactly what…read moreshe was looking for in fabrics. However... I'm extremely disappointed with how this store handled a basic customer need. I asked to use the restroom and was refused, despite being a paying customer. The staff showed no understanding or willingness to help, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and disrespectful. I understand that stores may have policies, but customers should be treated with basic courtesy--especially when making a reasonable request. Because of this experience, I will think twice before shopping here again.
