The pedicure and manicure were disappointing. The skin around my toenails was barely trimmed back and the callouses on my toes and heels were hardly addressed. I came here looking for a new salon since I just moved to Burnsville I wanted something close to me. I went to T not sure how to spell her name I got this full set not even 2 weeks ago and on that second week all my nails were lifting and Ive NEVER had that problem. I paid $70 for the full set just to come back the next week and pay $20 and be charged everytime another one lifts. $10 per nail twice a week! It was really irritating doing anything at work was painful and taking a shower was difficult everyday with my hair getting stuck in the nail and being pulled out. There wasnt one day that I didnt have a new nail lifting so unfortunately due to cheap product I will no longer be going there. Burnsville has lots of nails salons so its okay! I purchased a Groupon for a gel pedicure. I was able to schedule an appointment in advance and get in right away. The pedi was satisfactory and the nail tech was friendly. I appreciated her offer and explanation of other products available. She was also not pushy and validated my decision to not add any additional services during my visit. The tech was a younger girl with glasses. (I'm disappointed that I forgot her name) The nail salon had several gel and regular colors to choose from. The salon also offers various nail services including dipped nails. I observed other poor reviews regarding this salon but I had a positive experience. I will definitely visit this salon again in the future when I'm in the area. I'd suggest giving this salon a chance and be the judge yourself. read more

My first time entering this place, I didn't stay because they didn't pass my "Nail Test" for a complete set. My second attempt at this place was out of desperation and they happened to be the closest location when I was in despair. When I walked in the the man (the only man there) greeted me by looking at my nails and telling me that I was overdue for a fill-in. I calmly stated "That is why I am here". Actually, I am sure it wasn't calm. Now that I think about it, I am sure I gave him nothing but attitude with that statement. He then directed me to sit in the chair with a woman that was not ready for her next customer; She was in the middle of cleaning her tools and station. Please note, at this point, everything frustrated me because this my lunch hour and I expected this to be a quick turn around. This woman, who goes by the name of Amy, then proceeded to start my nails after I gave her my specific instructions. To get to the point, she was soooo slow!! But I promise you, it was the one of the best nail jobs that I have ever had. Seriously. I am ashamed to say she might even be better than the woman that I went to for seven years in VA. Amy is slow because she takes her time and she treats every nail with the care and attention it deserves. She is definately more concerned about quality of service then quantity of customers. I went in on a weekday evening and was able to get seated right away. The only problem is that they didn't tell me that they'd also kick me out mid-service when closing time came. They close a little earlier than most nail salons, so I wasn't expecting to leave with a half-done service and wet nails. Yikes! Their mani/pedis are done very hastily and the place isn't very clean. Basic pedicure is $25 and it's basically a nail polish change. No massage, and it took 17 minutes from start to end. The workers do not speak English so if you have any special request it will be difficult to communicate it. The polish collection is decent, but many of the polishes look like they've been there for ages. Also note that if you come towards the end of the day, they'll make you leave right at 6 whether your nails are dry or not. Edit: after leaving the review, they sent me a nasty private message. They don't really understand how Groupons work here...bought a groupon for $10 off a pedicure, but then when I went to pay they said the Groupon wasn't for the right amount and made me pay the $10 difference so I ended up paying full price plus the tip anyway. Also asked for 2 different colors and they couldn't find either of them, picked one similar and then another person found the right color 5 minutes after she started painting them. Not happy with how my gel manicure turned out. They used a drill to remove old gel, and burned my nail bed. Used a file after, and she filed so hard that it also burned the nail bed. My nails are rough, with bubbles on them, and they are not shiny at all. Typically, your nails are shiny after applying any kind of polish, but mine look dull and uneven. The paraffin wax was done AFTER the gel was applied, which doesn't make any sense. Skip this place, it was not worth the money I paid, and I purchased a Groupon! *Update* I keep receiving messages and phone calls about this review, I had to block their number. This is the only place I go and not just because it's close to home. Every person I have encountered there has been friendly and remembers me, even though I don't come in as often as I probably should, ha. Occasionally I have come with my sister in law, but not that often, but they still ask how my sister is if I come in without her. Small details... Sometimes you come here and it looks like there's gonna be a wait but I've never waited too long; not much past how long it takes me to pick a color! Although if you come on a weekend come early and right away or call and make a reservation. If you get a nail design you can tell them something specific or let them surprise you. If there was a zero stars this would be a zero star review. My coworkers and I walked in for pedicures on our lunch break. They said they could do them and to pick colors out. We walked to the wall of colors and literal MOTHS (plural) flew up from the garbage can in the corner. My friend picked up a color shook it to mix it and it exploded all over her. Her coat and scrubs were covered not to mention her hands and wedding ring! They did nothing to help. My other coworker and I had to find paper towel and acetone at a station to help her clean off the polish. One of the workers came over and checked to see of it had gotten on the rug! Didnt check my friend whatsoever his only concern was the rug. They finally seated us and proceeded to give two out of three of us the worse pedicures we've ever experienced: dirty foot bowls, super old polish, half assed effort. This is my new go to nail salon. I recommend calling before going in to make sure their not busy and can actually take you in. Mimi does a great job with acrylic full sets and so does her daughter! She's done bling for me on my nails and they were really good. Their super quick and gentle. They've never hurt me while drilling like other nail salons I've been to. Even pedicures here are very relaxing, you get to choose which kind you'd like and they always have the tv on for you so it's not so boring. I love how I'm just in and out and just get what I need super quick so I always come back for my fills. I like how I can always do super long nails too and they won't judge me for it compared to other nail salons I've been to, they actually know what you mean when you say you want long nails. The first time I went I would recommend going but only to mai I went the first time for my acrylic nails and I loved it and a week later went to get them removed and mai wasn't available so the male worker did mine and didn't remove the acrylic all the way and put gel polish on top and 2 days later it ended up chipping off extremely disappointed not only was it painful when he removed it he broke my nail and made it seem as if it wasn't a big deal ... there are still acrylic on all my nails and now I have to soak it off myself ...really good costumer service but not so good of the skills . read more

I had the worst experience here from one of the owners (male) yesterday. I called ahead to schedule an appointment for 5:45p and he didn't start until after 6:10. I felt like I was getting a service done by a child altogether. His work was embarrassingly sloppy and incredibly slow to paint my nails only half of their width. When I told him my nails were burning after he left acetone on them too long (45minutes!) to remove the gel nails, he said I was just acting sensitive(!!). His demeanor and attitude was so incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. After it all he said it was still going to be $35 and I politely said I didn't want to pay and he said "Yeah I knew you'd say that" but I still paid. DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!! If this type of awful service came from the owner then how do you think they train their employees? Not up to the standards they should be what so ever. read more

HORRIBLE nails done by Mi Mi, the owner. First off, she said there will be a 30 minute wait. The wait was actually 1 HOUR. She finally did my fill and used gel polish. I noticed my nails were very THIN afterwards. The next day, one of my gel nails chipped off. Within a few days, I had 4 nails that were chipped and coming off and everyone of my nails were separated from the fill and my real nail. Total BOTCH job. I went back in before the week was up, and fully expected Mi Mi to say "So Sorry. I fix for You" and fix free of charge. Well that didn't happen. She raised her voice at me and said my nails were old. I asked why she didn't suggest I get a new set when she did them the first time since she is supposedly the professional. She wanted me to pay another $40 to fix the terrible job that she did. UNBELIEVABLE!! She finally fixed the 4 broken nails but was very rude about it, and I couldn't understand half of what she was trying to say. She took no responsibility in terrible job she did previously. I'm just waiting for the rest of them to break or chip since she won't correct the rest of my nails that she botched. I went to Jenny for years that worked there before and Jenny always did a great job and would tell me when I needed a new set of nails. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A NAILS IN BURNSVILLE AGAIN. I was very disappointed. When I got to A Nails, the woman told me there was a 5 minute wait, so I waited. Then she started doing someone else's nails, and I ended up waiting 30 minutes. After that, she told me my nails would cost 25$. When I got up to the register and showed her my gift certificate, she changed the price to $35. Very unprofessional. Usually the service is ok, but this last time I was not at all happy with the services. The man kept insisting that I get gel polish (which is $10 more) for my pedicure. Then he kept insisting I get the same for my full set. I kept telling him no that's ok, and his only response was "but it's better for you". Well Alisha no longer owns this salon, and it shows! I went there to get my nails done (the hubby gave me a gift card for Christmas) it was $35 the minute I mentioned a gift card! Then they did the nails they looked awesome, three days later my top coat was peeling off and a few nails where peeling up. I called told the about it, went in and they fixed only two of them, she told me it's because it's cold out. A week later almost all my nails top coat was off except the two she fixed,now almost all of them where peeling off my nail, now they told me these were gels. Well they weren't. I went to talk to someone who used to do my nails as I was in the area and he told me there was a problem with the product and that they needed to completely redo them I also spoke with a girl friend of mine who's mom owns a salon in California and she has done nails for hers just I at licensed in MN she said it was horrible workmanship as there was a ton of bubbles and that they weren't gel but acrylic. I was mad!! Went back made them fix it and I was told it is because I wash my hands to much and I wear too much lotion. What?!?!?!? I used to work on car with fake nails and never once had these issues. Then she was telling me I need a solid color verses a french manicure and that's what she was going to do because the top coat was coming off be a use it was a french manicure. I didn't want full color I wanted a french!! After arguing I got a crappy fix job and a french manicure ( or something that looks like one) I refuse to go back. Prior to getting my nails done there eyebrow lady told me I needed to wax my lip to be sexy. They are rude and thieves, my top coat is still peeling and I've just given up on having Anails fix it!
