The team worked incredibly well together. They communicated clearly with each other to keep the packing, loading, and unloading process organized and efficient. They also communicated with me throughout the move to make sure everything was placed in the correct rooms at my new home. Their teamwork and positive attitudes made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and easy. I was especially impressed that they never seemed to rush unnecessarily or slow down the process--they worked hard, stayed focused, and used their time efficiently. They moved my two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a 40-minute drive between locations in about four hours, which was impressive considering the amount of furniture and belongings I had. Luis is an amazing driver as well. He was able to confidently maneuver the moving truck up a sloped driveway with ease, which was no small task. Most importantly, nothing was damaged during the move. HORRIBLE experience. I recommended this moving company to my clients because of their competitive pricing, but the final cost ended up being significantly higher due to what I believe was a serious miscalculation of the number of trucks required. After two inspections by their supervisors, I was told that two trucks would be sufficient for the move. Once those two trucks were loaded, they informed us that an additional truck was required at approximately $9,000 for an out-of-state move. This was a major and unexpected increase. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. Several antique pieces of furniture were damaged, despite being charged additional fees for packing antiques. Many pieces of antique furniture were broken, along with two brand-new TVs valued at more than $5,000. We also discovered missing wires, cables, and a laptop. The courtesy reimbursement was $650 for tens of thousands of loss! I was especially disappointed with the insurance process and felt that the coverage did not provide the protection I expected after paying for the move and additional packing services. The workers themselves were polite and professional in their interactions, but unfortunately, good customer service cannot make up for the significant additional costs, damage, and missing items. I ultimately advised the two clients I had originally referred to this company not to use them. My experience has taught me that what appears to be a lower price upfront can end up costing much more in the end. I called A+ Movers around 5 PM for a last-minute couch move the next day at noon. They booked me right away and gave me a two-hour window, which was perfect. The next morning, I got a call from the team, Youself and Lalo, around 9 AM to confirm everything. They even offered to start earlier if I wanted, but I needed the noon time. They were totally fine with that and said they would be ready. Sure enough, by 11:50 AM they were already parked and waiting. Super punctual and ready to go. The couch was big, white, and heavy, and it needed to be picked up from a downtown high-rise with tight hallways and small elevators. They wrapped the couch carefully with plastic, moving blankets, and another layer of plastic so it stayed spotless. You could tell they really cared about keeping it clean. They got it out of the building with no issues and brought it straight to my house. They even helped me adjust my sliding door so the couch would fit through perfectly. Within minutes, they had the area rug down, the couch set up exactly where I wanted it, and all the wrapping trash cleaned up. Everything looked like it had never even been moved. Three men and a 30 foot box truck were sent to help me move from a 2 bed 2 bath condo into a storage unit. I had a decent amount of stuff and had 2 stops: first to Goodwill then to my storage unit. JOSH, JAKE and HUNTER were very helpful and adaptable. I live in a large complex that was somewhat complicated to get to. They worked quickly and efficiently and protected my items well. We finished on time and without any significant problems. NOTES: - Make sure you are prepared with relevant information such as your to and from addresses, relevant phone numbers, any potential access problems (e.g. gates, maps of your complex if applicable, security clearance, tight streets, steep driveways, bathroom access, pets, etc.) . Having this info makes the move more efficient. - Make sure you take pictures of your stuff. I had a few items that were ALREADY broken PRIOR to the move and did not want anyone to blame the movers. - Think about feeding your movers or at least having snacks and water for them. This is not mandatory but really helped us all during the move. (I was also moving a few small, more fragile items at the same time). - DON'T forget to TIP your movers.
