Run away from this scams! I went to a dentist in Bellevue and they referred them to me for my root canal. Asked how much it would cost for the initial visit, they said it would be $200 since they are in the network of my insurance. Paid it on the spot. The doctor told me it would be around $750 after your insurance coverage. Had my second visit, done the treatment and paid what they asked me. Then what? Surprise! A $353.8 bill. Called them talked to someone responsible for their billing Maria for about half an hour. She repeated herself about 10 times that this is from my first 20min visit which i paid off the $200. I kept asking her how a 20min first consult costs $200 + $353.8 she says its always been like this and no one complained. I just dont want to go into details. Oh yeah she threatened me that if i dont pay it, they would take it to collections so i will have more damage! Can you believe she did say that and i can prove it if she says she didnt. I was so frustrated by telling her how this is wrong. She said she would call me in a week. Guess what? Yes she never called. I emailed them and no response. I assume she was planning to send my bill to collections. I called them back after 2 months and she says she was busy lmao. I will report them to BBB. I hope people in their right mind would stay away from them so that someday they would start realizing scamming people under a name of on org isnt legal. Probably will be too late by then. read more

My dentist referred me to Dr. Aviles as I needed a root canal. Honestly, I wish Dr. Aviles could be my new dentist! He has this calm vibe that makes you feel so relaxed and anxiety free even though he's about to remove a nerve from your tooth. He's kind and empathetic and checks on you through the whole procedure. Taking my mom to see doctors/specialists is usually a bit stressful since she is very particular about specialists/doctors, especially ones that she hasn't seen before. I took her to see Dr. Avilés today after seeing all of the positive Yelp reviews and he definitely exceeded my expectations. She first had to get an evaluation which entailed getting another set of x-rays done. She has had bad experiences with x-rays and feared the pain of having the piece of plastic in her mouth. Dr. Avilés' assistant, Ardith was very patient with her and didn't force her to quickly go through with the x-ray. My mom was eventually able to trust her and listen to her step by step. Before coming in, my mom had been having a lot of pain in her teeth and had seen a dentist, then an ENT specialist, then another dentist who told her that she needed a root canal on a few teeth. Dr. Avilés took the time to listen to her entire story (even many parts that were irrelevant to him making a diagnosis) and was extremely patient and gentle with her. He explained that she actually did not need to do a root canal and that doing one would not fix the problem in the long run. He offered a simple solution to help ease her immediate gum/teeth pain and referred us to a clinic that might be able to help. I've become used to a lot of physicians and specialists being impatient with her since she explains more than what's necessary and has a hard time understanding English, however, Dr. Avilés and Ardith didn't make us feel rushed at all and was very open to listening to all of her concerns and answering any questions that she had. My mom kept telling me that she thought Dr. Avilés was really good and she almost never says that about any practitioner! She and I could tell how genuinely caring he was and truly wanted her to get the right care for her pain. My mom would have been happy to come back for continued care, but she needed to see a periodontist, instead. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking an endodontist. read more

We went to Dr. Aviles after reading yelp reviews and after having a bad experience at Seattle Endodontics Arts. We were extremely satisfied! First of all, after contacting the office, we immediately got a call back and were interviewed to determine what kind of appointment would be the best fit for us. They also wanted to make sure that my mom (a patient) was not in big pain and did not need an immediate assistance. On a day of the visit we were greeted by very friendly staff. The office was very clean and organized. Dr. Aviles himself was very empathetic and professional. He made a very detailed diagnostics using the CT scan images, looking at ever angle and explained us everything in all details. My mom could not proceed with the treatment. But thoroughness of Dr. Aviles left us without any doubt as he thoroughly looked and took everything into a consideration. My mom was very pleased with the experience and we would definitely go back to the clinic if we ever needed diagnostics or treatment with the root canal. Dr Aviles' office is fine and clean and handy for Microsoft and his assistants perfectly good but nothing that stands out. What makes it great is Dr Aviles. Two reasons: (1) He is extraordinarily patient, calm and soft spoken, his voice is serene to the point of hypnotic. If you see him you will immediately see what I mean. He makes you think you are his only patient and answers all your questions before doing anything. (2) He is very thorough and competent. I had two front root canals at once, there was no discomfort or issues and he spent some time trying to reach a tiny bit left at the end of the canal until he figured out a trick to get it. No problems since. A year or two later I had a soreness in a back tooth and my regular dentist referred me again as it hurt and he couldn't figure it out. Dr Aviles spent some considerable time gently probing the area, tapping, and using water jets of different temperatures to try to localize it. Embarrassingly by the time I got to him the pain had cured itself but he was totally nice about that and it hasn't come back. read more

I went to Dr. Aviles on a referral from my dentist for my first root canal. Now I'm probably like most people - I hate going to the dentist and I fear the thought of a root canal or oral surgery of any sort. To make a long story short, Dr. Aviles is The Best-est! I was so pleasantly surprised after he did his work. There was no pain whatsoever during the procedure and very little after and his bedside manner is awesome because he explains AND let's you ask q's or whatnot and you don't feel like your worries are "stupid" because he discusses things with you. He's so approachable, friendly, and intelligent. His office even has a little TV to watch while having your root canal done. I had to go to him a second time later on to check on my root canal and he took the time to check it thoroughly without me needing an appointment (because my dentist called him and told me to go there right away.) All I have to say is I highly recommend Dr. Aviles as your orthodontist for any root canal. Even my dentist said he sent one of his relatives there too. And guess what?? He was actually listed as one of the top 25 dentist in Seattle Monthly (or something). I saw it on the receptionist table, hehe. I went to Dr. Aviles for an emergency root canal. Everyone I spoke to on the phone while scheduling the appointment was pleasant, helpful and proactive in getting me in immediately. Dr. Aviles himself was great. It wasn't clear what the source of my pain was, and he took the time to discuss it at length with me and even listened carefully to my opinion on which of two possible teeth could be causing the pain. He also spent time testing the various teeth to make sure we were getting the right one that was causing the pain, even though I came in explicitly to have a specific one done. Then, he was extremely patient and careful while numbing the area, and spent over 30 minutes getting the entire area numb, which was very difficult do to how inflamed the nerves were. Once he did that, the rest of the procedure was quick and comfortable. As a bonus, a very nice woman named Sasha sat with me while I was waiting for the Dr., and repeatedly apologized that he was taking a long time, even though the wait was very, very short relative to other places I've been. If you're in the unfortunate position of needing a root canal, go to Dr. Aviles. He and his staff are great. read more

He takes time to explain things to you and overall has a very pleasant manner around his patients. You don't feel rushed. All the staff I had contact with were also very nice and efficient. The procedure went well and I had very little discomfort afterwards, just some sensitivity, but nothing that a few Advil could not take care of. I went to Dr. Aviles for a second opinion regarding a problem tooth. I am so glad I did! I have NEVER written a review but read further and you will understand why! Instead of having a crown, recommended by another dentist, I wanted to get a second opinion. My problem tooth had already had 2 root canals from previous dentists. I was having discomfort in the tooth daily and some swelling. Dr. Aviles diagnosed that the reason my tooth was bothering me was because I had not 3 but 4 canals and the 4th one had gone undetected and was infected. It had been this way for many years! What if I had just done a crown?! The long term infection could have damaged my over all health. Since it had been a long term problem the treatment took several visits ( even an extra at no cost!). Dr. Aviles wanted to make sure the infection was healed.There will be 2 follow-up exams at no further charge but as part of the comprehensive treatment to make sure all is well. Dr. Aviles has a gentle, kind, respectful manner and excellent professionalism. I have never known a dentist that works with a microscope. No wonder he saw the 4th canal!
