    Box of six original

If you need malasadas, you gotta go to this truck!!! This Leonard's malasada food truck at Waikele Shopping Center is hands-down my favorite place to grab fresh malasadas! Located with all the other food trucks near Pet Co, this spot seriously beats the original location for me because they make all their malasadas fresh to order. I love how fresh it tastes and they are consistently hot and perfect. Today I got a box of six regular malasadas which was about $12. Pro tip: you have to eat them right then and there for the best taste. Trust me on this! There's no seating, but the service is fast, the staff is friendly, and the quality is unbeatable. If you're in the area, don't skip this food truck--it's the best!

This food truck is convenient if you are on the west side of Oahu near Waikele. You'll find it next to Lowe's in the parking lot. They make the malasadas fresh to order. Service was quick and efficient even if you see a line out front. Eat these malasadas fresh for the best flavor and texture. We ate ours out of the back of our Jeep!

We stopped by the food truck park to grab some grub on our way back to our hotel. There was a small line and the bit of a wait to receive my malasadas but it was worth the drive, the entire trip, to taste these amazing pastries. They are served hot and fresh! I got a custard, and plain one. It is so crisp yet pillowy soft inside. I love how tender the dough is. Thank you to the family who brought these Portuguese donuts to the masses, they have become so popular, they are a Hawaiian icon and staple.

Everyone told me that Leonard's Malasadas were the best. I had to go see if they were right. Yup! They were. They make them hot and fresh while you wait. And it isn't a long wait at all. Five minutes tops. They are I think like 2.50 each but if you buy 6, they are $2.00 each. You get to try one of each. I paid $4.50 for ONE Holy Grail Donut. When I can get tasty malasadas why buy an overpriced donut. When you are on Oahu go get yourself a malasadas...or 6!

What a delightful treat after hiking Koko Crater! We'd heard about Leonard's Bakery from multiple people, along with the long lines, so finding this little Leonard's mobile wagon was a delightful surprise. We learned that malasadas are Portuguese fried donuts and I don't think I've ever had a donut I don't like. Leonard's mobile wagon malasadas were fresh and hot. We tried a variety, original sugar with haupia (coconut filling), original sugar without filling, and cinnamon sugar without filling. Each one was absolutely yummy! A perfect post-hike snack, and we'll definitely be back!

Stopped here in the early afternoon after we went to breakfast, and there was no line. We ordered six traditional and one custard, and they came out piping hot in the cute pink box. They are cashless so be prepared for that. It's in the back area of a parking lot, and the other trucks are all conned off, so that helps. There is also nowhere to sit, so don't plan to stay here unless you're eating in your car.

10/10 would recommend hot portuguese donuts with multiple fillings to choose from Fresh from the truck I want more now.

You could never go wrong with Leonard's as a dessert or even breakfast item. I've been to several locations and mobile wagons and they've all lived up to the hype and quality. Huge fan of their custard and Dobash malasada. The malasada's are inexpensive and worth grabbing a half dozen or even a whole dozen. I could easily down 2-3 within minutes. I will add to others reviews about their hours, be warned that it is not 100% guaranteed. I got there this morning, but they were closed at 7:45. They had a sign stating that they wouldn't open until 8:30. Sad we couldn't get our Leonards fix early in the AM

This is the only kind of breakfast worth waking up for and immediately hitting the road to pick these up and demolish My favorites are plain, cinnamon, coconut, custard, or guava filling depending on the sweetness I'm going for. The coconut filling is not too sweet and just a hint of coconuts. LiHing flavor when I'm feeling sassy and have a cold bevvy to go with it.

As much as I like to go to the store I went to growing up in Kapahulu, the mobile "food truck" style still does a great job. I know there is one in Waikele and one in Koko Marina shopping center. You have to eat these hot to really enjoy them. There are lots of options but the original is what made them famous so I'd definitely get those. The filled ones are good, but not as good, to me, as the original. Enjoy!

I love this truck ! It's so much faster than the regular Leonard's location and they make it fresh and hot as you order it. There was no line and I got my malasadas within 5 minutes. If you're in the area I would recommend coming here instead (unless you want a picture with the Leonard's sign).

In Waikeke and had to stop for breakfast. Malasadas can be breakfast, lunch, or dessert, so the choice was easy. Eat 'em fresh.

Yummm! If you haven't had a malasada from Leonard's Bakery, you are missing out on one of Hawaii's most iconic treats! The food truck brings the same delicious, melt-in-your-mouth malasadas that made the original bakery so famous, but with the added bonus of convenience. I grabbed a couple of malasadas while visiting the food truck, and they were perfection. Golden, crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside. The sugar coating was just the right amount of sweetness. They offer a variety of fillings--my favorite was the classic custard, but the chocolate and haupia (coconut) were amazing too. The service was friendly and fast, even with a bit of a line. It's clear that Leonard's Bakery cares about maintaining the quality and consistency of their malasadas, whether you're at the original location or the food truck. It's a food truck so nothing special or nice ambience but the malasadas are the highlight

The malasadas ..yummy but incorrect order

    Ask the Community - A Leonard's Bakery

Do they stay at 1 spot all the time? Since they are on a truck. My concern is that they will move to places

I think this particular food truck does not move. I always see every time I drive past. The other Leonard's truck is actually mobile. I used to see it in Kaneohe at certain days/times only.

Is the pearl ridge Malala day wagon open daily?

    Yes they open daily

Is the malasadas still good , the mobile wagon in waikele areA?

All mobile wagons are good, waikele location get busy once it opens .

You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.

Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop is a cute little bakery tucked inside of Seafood City, and it always seems to be packed with people. Every time I've gone grocery shopping here, there's a crowd gathered around the bakery - which is usually a great sign. I tend to avoid crowds, so I've only stopped in twice so far, but both visits were worth it. The display cases and shelves are loaded with Filipino-style pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts, all looking fresh and tempting. I'm not Filipino, so I can't confidently name everything in the shop, but the variety alone is impressive. From soft breads to sweet treats, there's clearly something for every kind of carb lover. What really stands out is how affordable everything is. You can grab multiple items without feeling guilty about the price, which makes it easy to sample different things. The staff has also been friendly and patient, even when the line is long, which adds to the overall positive experience.
