Fast forward couple more years. My Brother printer suddenly stopped connecting to my Mac computers. I tried re-installing the driver, resetting the router, etc, but nothing worked. I knew it wasn't really a 'printer' problem since I could print from a PC. So I tried a computer guy, and he was going to charge me $100. I called ALPS, and they kindly walked through further steps. When everything failed, they asked me if I tried calling Brother. Even though they didn't earn my business right away, they earned my loyalty again. I called Brother and they helped me solve the problem. I can't recommend ALPS enough!!! -------- I first brought in my laser printer after it broke down in its first year. Since the printer had one year warranty, I knew it was covered. They did a great job and I got my printer back in one day. I was so impressed with their service, next time my inkjet broke down, I took it in. Since the inkjet was several years old, it was not covered under the warranty. So they offered to do the diagnostic, and if they could fix it easily, they would include it in the diagnostic. If the repair was going to be too expensive, they would let me know and I was going to just get a new one. It turns out it was a simple problem and they only charged me diagnostic. And also, I got my printer back the next day. Well, my first laser printer broke down second time, now after the warranty expired, but because of their great service, I took it in for a diagnostic. They checked the warranty on the part and it turns out that part was covered still under the warranty. So they didn't charge me at all this time! Because of the weekend, I got it back in 3 days, but if I had brought it in during the week, I would've gotten mine back in a day. They got my business and I can confidently recommend them to everyone. read more

My Brother inkjet printer came down with the dreaded error 46, ink absorber pad full. The printer is only 2 years old, and not heavily used. A Laser was on the Brother website for authorized repairs so after trying some online fixes myself I gave up and took it to them. About 10 minutes and James got it up and running! Very Hostile, Outrageously Anti-Customers! I called (949) 598-9500 to inquire about their services. I could not understand the man answered my call, unsure of his name Nathan, and asked him to repeat his name. He refused and chose to slam his phone to hung up on me. I called back the second time, he put me to his answering machine. I called different extensions #201 and #205, both phones hung up on me. It is clear to me that they are anti-customers. I did not get the information and will never spend a dime to this hostile outfit. Strongly NOT recommend! read more

I took my printer there for an ongoing issue that we were expecting a hefty repair bill for. They looked at it and found that the issue was easily fixable; we really appreciated their honesty as they chose not to charge us. Just came into have a service fix on my Brother MFC-6935 Multi Function Printer that kept giving me a "jam" error, and after I got there, they were able to resolve the issue while I waited in 5 min. My Brother printer was having issues with major streaks on the printouts. Tried calling Brother support, which was an hour wasted not getting anywhere, and would have gone on longer but I decided my time was better spent taking it to a repair specialist. Four weeks I've been trying to have my printer fax machine fixed I have had people from Cox and from phonelines sub repeatedly they were never able to set up the machine so it would receive faxes. Today I came to a LPS on and right right away can was so kind he even walked out to the car to carry the printer and very skillfully and in great good humor he fix the machine so now I'm able to receive faxes where I was not able I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars so that I could gladly select it . Definitely recommend these guys! Was having issues with my HP laser printer which was printing speckles of magenta on every page. Ken and his team quickly diagnosed it as a faulty print cartridge which I had purchased from Staples. He offered to clean the printer at no charge ( said it was a simple process) and suggested I return the cartridge. Truly appreciate his honesty and integrity! I broke my ink cartridge lock lever and it was stuck in printer. I showed up a little before 8:00am and was met by a smiling face with open arms to help. They where extremely kind, courteous, new their stuff and fixed my cartridge problem in less than 10 minutes. When I asked how much I owe, he said pass on the Good Word. I am passing on the Good Word as very rarely do you get such Nice Random Acts of Kindness/Goodness in today's environment. They also spent extra time with me teaching me new things about the Printer I did not know. WOW! I guess Able A. must have been having a really bad day! Because over the past 4 years, I have periodically taken three different (Brother) laser printers into ALPS for service and adjustment. Even though I'm not one of their many corporate customers, on every occasion I have found Nathan and Ken to be professional, courteous, and really helpful with technical details and questions. Do not use this company. Their techs are extremely rude. If they cannot fix the problem, they become very hostile toward the customer. They will actually verbally attack the customer. The management does nothing to apologize for their employees rude behavior. read more
