There's always a line but moving fairly fast. I'd say 15-20 mins wait on average. Of course, you need to wait for another 20 mins or so for your pancakes, but here's the tip: there are only 2 pancakes for the savory ones as oppose to the sweet ones which have 3, so the savory ones take much shorter time (like 7-ish mins).
In a word, the pancakes are just so so and overpriced. I ordered a savory with omelette and my friend went with the sweet with milk tea sauce. All the savory pancakes are wheat pancakes, which lack the puffy texture compared to the original. My friend thought her milk sauce was a bit too sweet and had no variety in taste.
The presentation was kinda funny, too. Everything was in a paper bowl without any consideration for presentation. I thought a 20-min wait would at least grant me a proper meal with my food on a plate like dinning in a restaurant, but no. It's paper bowls, yes, those you see at Smorgasburg or street food markets which are convenient to dispose of. And everything is self serviced. You get yourself water, and pay at the cashier too.
So, for the taste, demonstration, and service, these pancakes are way too much money. It's either HK$98 or $108, or USD$12.5-ish. We get better pancakes for the price in the States for sure. 2 pieces at Taiyaki was only $6 or $8 and look prettier and taste fluffier.
Definitely won't go back again. read more
