I was quoted around $4k and an approximate 3 day timeline. Total project exceeded 2.5 weeks. We even left our house for a week so they could get the job done, and they only showed up 2 of the 7 days while we were gone. When we returned home, the job was still incomplete. I had to go back and forth for several days. The quality of the work is horrible. I still have new drywall that you can see and the work on our white trim is disastrous. I was spoken to very disrespectfully by one of the painters, Luis. To the point that I left my house and did not return home until after 9pm (once he had left our home) because I felt unsafe. The owner only communicated by text, was not accountable for the horrible work, and was just looking to get paid before all the work was completed. I am now left with walls that still need to be finished painted, and no recourse. My husband and I will unfortunately have to hire another painting company to finish a job which should have been done by Val's Brush Painting. Advice: AVOID at all costs. Unprofessional, rude and poor quality. Please don't fall into the same trap I did.

Set an appointment for Tuesday 1/3/23 (next day), inspected work and gave us an quote via email document. Due to their responsiveness and communication we agreed to get the work completed without waiting for around for other quotes. We scheduled the job for Friday 1/6/23. We specifically met with and had work completed by Peter. We sincerely enjoyed working with him! He was punctual, had integrity, and was meticulous about his craft. Job was completed in 2 days. Pricing was very reasonable, in fact the other quotes were given through yelp messages and none of the other handyman offered to come out and inspect the work. The other two bids that we received (after Peter's work was complete) came out more expensive than what NRWillis charged... even though they never came out to inspect the work. After working with Peter on this job, we presented him with a couple of more projects around our home and are waiting for his quotes.

He helped us replace our 100 year-old boiler with a new, high-efficiency furnace, and came back several times free of charge, even helping us work with XCel to get it tuned properly. His rates were more than reasonable, he was prompt, conscientious, and courteous. He thoughtfully answered any question and made himself available until we were 100% happy. We will call him again -- but he did such a good job, not sure when that will be.

However, a big part of selecting a contractor is meeting for an estimate, reviewing said estimate and understanding the organization and professionalism you're dealing with. That's what this is reviewing. I contacted Frank on 9/11/17 electronically for some basement painting and repair work. He responded that they couldn't start work until mid October 2017, which I said was fine. Then...nothing. I reminded him via email on 9/21/17 that I still hadn't heard confirmation of when he could come by to provide an estimate. Promptly on 9/22 I received a response that he had been out of town and was catching up. Ok, weird but still within the margins of 'ok.' We took it to phone after that (at his request). He got back to me via texting. Also fine. After I had to reschedule the initial visit on 10/4 and moved it to 10/12/17, he confirmed via text. Still all good. Then he doesn't show up on 10/12. I text him asking where he was at and he called back and apologized, saying he couldn't make it due to kid issues. Ok, iffy but still ok. We rescheduled for 10/15. Frank did show on 10/15, took measurements for the project, stated they couldn't start until mid November 2017 but would provide me an estimate soon and we would schedule the work. We shook hands and he left. A pleasant experience. Fast forward to 10/31/17 (2 weeks later), I still had not heard back from Frank. I emailed him and asked if he intended to provide a quote. I didn't see a response until 11/9/17 (via email) in which he stated, "Sorry for the delay, have had a surgery come up and won't be working for 3-6 weeks. Haven't checked my email and didn't see this earlier." That's it. No commitment. No date when he might be back in action and would get a hold of me. No quote. Nothing. To this day, I still haven't received a follow up and long ago decided to find an alternative for the work. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this was a grand waste of my busy time and I'm unsure how you operate a business in this fashion. Life and stuff happens, but I believe most customers expect clear communication and some sort of closure so they know what's up. Instead, I'm completely stumped. Did he not want to do the work? Is he unable to do it? Is he even still in business? Who knows? Only Frank.

Everything he's done I don't have any complaints about. It's all look good. Everything is to code and everything is legit. I've done my checks and he pulls everything legitimately through permits. Not only that, he's a very personal guy and if he isn't going to be on time, he's going to let you know. He also beats most deadlines in Denver. He works his own crew and keeps everyone accountable. They did some electrical work for me and I didn't want him to install my light so I could do it myself. Six months later I got around to it and it didn't work. They came back and fixed it without hesitation six months later!! Plus they did it within like 3 days on the fly while they had other jobs lined up. This guy is definitely true to his word. He maybe not a name in town but he knows what he's doing and he has 20 years of experience doing it. If you're on a budget I need some work done Mike is your guy trust me I'm not disappointed. Everything included I'm $7,500 deep with this guy.

They installed egress windows in my house and are already quoting me for new flooring for my upstairs! They were nice enough that they even did a small dry wall patch for me. Seriously they are great. You hear all those horror stories about contractors and getting ripped off; not with these guys. Honest and fair.
