AHOT has really good food and they make it fresh and quick. I've only tried fajita taco and tamale plate. Both were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The only thing I recommend is to elaborate on the dishes listed on the menu. I would love to try different items, but not knowing what I'm ordering doesn't work for me. I stick with fajita tacos and tamale plate because that's the only thing I know I will like. I have no idea about the rest of it. read more

This is a good texmex place with properly homemade tortillas. I'm not sure why I always forget about them when it comes to getting a good breakfast taco. Their breakfast tacos are hearty, but could use a pinch more salt on the eggs and potatoes. Their red salsa is very good, but pricey if you want to buy some to go. Maybe I don't remember cuz of how caloric it is?? I also ordered a Carne guisada burrito.. the meat was over cooked and dry. I overheard one of the staff placing a food order with a vendor, and she ordered Carne guisada, so it's a shame they don't make it in-house. read more

Maybe the best breakfast tacos in Brazoria County. The ingredients are high quality, especially the tortillas. Always busy in the morning, but you can usually call ahead if you have more than a couple of tacos you want to pick up. It's not fancy, but it's also not supposed to be a full service restaurant. I've honestly never been for lunch, but if the quality is consistent with their breakfast, it's worth it. read more

The food is very good. It's about a mile from Highway 288 and about half a Mile from 288-Business, so it's convenient to any part of Angleton, really. The tacos are very good and their green sauce is on-point. They take credit cards, which is nice, and the service is always friendly. They have a wide variety of Mexican sodas. read more

Ridiculous. Way overpriced and not good. First off $6 for a taco and $7.45 for a Gordita. Someone's proud. The lady behind the counter was rude and had no clue about the food. When asked for fajita she gave pastor. Once we got the correct meat in the taco it tasted/looked like boiled meat just awful. Save your time, money, appetite for something else. read more

Have been here a few times, the service is simply inhospitable! The last time I was in, we placed our order at the same time a phone order came in, the phone order was told 25 minutes. We watched the phone order being picked up 25 minutes later and inquire as to ours, we are very rudely told "it's the weekend so you will just have to deal with it, now just wait". Stopped in here on my way to bay city. Maybe I am privileged since I am from San Antonio, but NEVER in my entire existence have I paid $33 for 5 breakfast tacos. Absolutely absurd pricing. Given, the tacos are large, but I think they should be $3 at most. Also, I had to wait 20 minutes for said 5 tacos. In my experience of visiting taco places, most ingredients are ready to go and it's a quick stop. Not here. This must be the only taco place in town. read more

Called this morning to place an order in the angleton location and when I got there and said I called in my order I was ask if I Googled the # and then I was told that number goes to the lake jackson store and they know it but haven't fixed it....counter lady was very rude and didn't seem to care that she didn't have my order and i was then told that it was going to take 15 minutes to make my taco after I had already waited for 15 minutes just to find out they didn't have my order...won't go back again.....piss poor customer service. ....if you know something is broken....fix it! read more

The breakfast tacos are usually really good, but today I tried to call in a to go order at 12:30 and someone just picked up the phone and set the phone down. I decided that maybe they were just busy so I went ahead and drove over to the restaurant. I arrived at 12:40 and they would not take my order (even though it was a to go order) because they were closing at 1. I was told they had too many orders in the back but there were only a few people in the resturant waiting. When I told her I tried to call and that someone picked up and set the phone down, she told that she picked up the phone and just set it down because she was tired of it ringing! I won't be back because I can't support a business that doesn't value its customers and it's unprofessional to not take an order during the hours you "claim" you are open! read more

Stopped in this morning t grab a taco, worst decision ever. The lady behind the counter was rude and complaining about other employees not showing up for work and being short handed. After taking my order she went to the kitchen to help the only other employee prepare my order all the while both were being very loud and very rude in regards to other employees and management not being around. Food finally comes out 15 minute wait for one Hippo; normally worth the wait, but not today. Taco came out very cold cheese not melted, tortilla hard completely inedible. Order a picadillo plate to go. Was disappointed when I opened it and saw just a small amount of picadillo. It was like only a spoonful of ground meat, way to many carrots and pappas. Plate cost was way to high for what I received. The little that I had was really good!!! Felt like they put more rice and beans than meat. Good food though!!! read more

My Mother in law was on the way back to the house and said for us to call it in so she could pick it up. We called. They answered and put us on hold for 5 minutes and hang up. so we're like oh maybe they're busy. called like 10 times. they answered to hang up. my inlaws gets there and tells them we tried calling and they said no. then they were giving my mother in law crazy attitude when she was asking questions. she then proceeded to order and they said oh we don't have that.. so they just ordered regular hippos and while they waited a person behind them ordered something that they said they didn't have and they gave them their order first. so they lied just because she didn't like that my mother in law was asking questions. when she finally got the food she asked if she could have green salsa and the lady said no were all out when my mother in law could clearly see they had green salsa. also they weren't even busy. she said everyone was just hanging around goofing off. if you don't want to serve and be nice why don't you just close it down. never going again. read more

Food is OK. Service is awful. I'm always worried about someone spitting in my food...and their cleanliness in general. Prices are too high for the quality. They are always swamped. I dread going there when my husband wants a taco. We have actually stopped going because he said the food has gone down hill, and it's too expensive for what you get. read more

Huge Tacos. Good Fresh food in them. Pricey but you get your money's worth. Friendly staff awaits customers. The only bad part is the Barbacoa. It tastes boiled and for some reason, someone decided to make it spicy!!!!The parking is good, no potholes with water, and they are open on Sunday's as well.
