He called ahead to confirm his arrival window and showed up right on time - no waiting around all day wondering when he'd show, which I really appreciated. Modern appliances are packed with electronic parts that are often hidden and hard to access, making repairs tricky. Alex R handled my appliance's repair issue with patience, professionalism, and impressive problem-solving skills. He was also courteous, easy to talk to, and left the area spotless. It's rare to find someone who combines expertise, honesty, and great communication, but Alex R checks every box. If you need appliance repair, ask for him specifically - highly recommend!

We live in a world that's increasingly dominated by giant corporations. They succeed because they…read moreare everywhere, they often make it easy to shop with them, and because they can often undercut the smaller local spots when it comes to prices. I made the mistake of ordering a gas range from one of these giant corporations, and it turned out to be a giant problem. They delivered but couldn't handle the installation, and then they couldn't take the stove with them, and then the guys who came to pick it up were rude and caused more issues, etc. So I did what I should've done, and I called Earl B. Feiden, and they helped me out, and solved my problem. I got to talk to an actual person (thanks Ken!), and I laid out what I needed (a gas range in a non-standard size), and where the potential problem might arise (it needed to be converted to propane), and they handled it like pros. Sometimes it may cost you a little more time and a tiny bit more hassle (if you consider talking to an actual person a hassle, not a pleasure like I do) to go with the smaller shop, but I highly recommend buying local. It worked out for me with Earl B. Feiden. And in the end, the range I got ended up being cheaper than the one from the big box store anyway.

Stay Away! I called…read moreAtlas (Jimmy) to fix my stove, which had a broken burner. While initially he was quite responsive, everything went downhill quickly. He sent someone who not only didn't fix the burner, he broke another one. That person said that they needed more parts to fix both burners and that they would call back when they were ready. We never got a call. This began several weeks of pestering Jimmy on the status of the parts, because he would never call us. He eventually replied that they were on backorder but would tell me when they were ready again. After a long period of silence, we called him back and he mentioned that the parts were discontinued, he just never bothered to tell us and that he wouldn't do anything to compensate us for the stove his team made worse. He said that there was nothing that could be done to fix it. I called a different company, they came in, had the parts (not on backorder) and fixed it within a week. I'm mad at myself for trusting Jimmy for as long as I did, because we could have gotten results so much sooner. Don't use Atlas, they just make things worse.

We needed to purchase a stand alone freezer and a heavy duty washer and dryer and quickly…read more Overall the experience was quite "Vanilla"....very plain. In that, I mean that there was very little "chat" or personal interaction on the salespersons part and we were left alone for far longer than we wanted. Everytime we had a question we had to go looking for someone who might have an answer or maybe even (If we were lucky) find where our salesperson kept disappearing too when we were literally the only customers in the store. To be clear, It was OK and just OK. In our experience...when trying to support local businesses, we generally find a much higher level of customer involvement by the business. This was most definitely not the case here. The feeling that we got was one of......buy or don't buy....makes no difference to us. For absolutely sure we have received much friendlier and helpful service at the big box stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Sams Club and Costco) and frankly expected a much better experience than we received from this store which on that day....at that time.....at least appeared to not care one way or the other about us or whether we purchased from them or not. We were in desperate need of the appliances and they were in stock and ready for delivery.....so, minus all the love.....we bought the appliances and gave serious consideration as to whether we would ever go there again. Probably not. Not Mad.......Just Disappointed.

I am writing this to recommend Don for your appliance repair needs…read more Last week, I posted that I needed to have a broken garbage disposal replaced on the nextdoor site. I received a number of responses and reached out to one of them. A young man came and installed a new garbage disposal. Unfortunately the next day I tried to run my dishwasher and the cabinet under the sink flooded. I reached out to the repair man and he ghosted me. My neighbor came over and tightened a pipe that was left loose and I thought all was fine. Then my dishwasher stopped draining and my reverse osmoses water filter stopped working. I called Don Lopez from Highland and he quickly figured out what happened. The garbage disposal was not installed properly and that plugged up the dishwasher which then burnt out my drain motor. Don uninstalled the garbage disposal, put in a new drain motor and reinstalled the disposal. NOW everything is working including the water filter. Don Lopez is the real deal. He is professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and he comes quickly. I highly recommend him for all your home appliance repair needs.

Dan inspected my Bosch Dish washer, and rendered a wrongful analysis of bad water pump re: insufficient cleaning and gave AmEx for new pump, only to discover a bad house waterfilter was the culprit. The part ordering and return saga dragged on through May with deceptive courtesy and sincerity. All of June I negotiated the return of my payment with a variety of illnesses and mishaps being the cause for the delay. Now I see that this is all a dead end. Jeff V. minus 5 stars
