Simply the best myofascial therapy I have experienced, nationwide. Most recently I pulled my back and wasn't able to stand up straight. I remembered Michael's advice to me - ice and then heat. After a few days I was ready for an in-home massage. Two hours later, I felt renewed of body and mind. Michael is always professional, kind, good-humored, and thorough. I suggest you take a hot bath before he works on your in your home, and then plan for a day of napping and relaxing after. There is no one better. -- Michael is the only massage therapist in ten years who has been able to relieve me of my chronic back pain. He is a skilled and intuitive professional. I used to experience pain on a daily basis and had limited mobility and range of motion. My back pain has decreased to almost nothing - after seeing Michael I usually enjoy several weeks with no pain at all. My sciatica has disappeared. Additionally, Michael's lymph drainage massage has boosted my immune system significantly. I have been suffering from back pain for over ten years. Western medicine called it 'facet syndrome' and 'fibromyalgia', and said there was nothing that could be done about it. Other body workers tried to massage the area and that always resulted in migraines. I don't know what I would do without a monthly massage from Michael - it's the best self-care practice and worth every penny!

I had a highly frustrating and unprofessional experience at this salon.I originally booked a Sunday…read moreappointment, but the owner texted me that morning to cancel due to a family emergency the following week. After calling several times with no answer, I searched for their website online. I found a link to schedule an appointment, successfully booked for 11:00 AM the following Sunday, and drove over. When I arrived with my mobility scooter, the owner was outside. I asked if I could bring my scooter in and told her I had an 11:00 AM pedicure with Misty. She immediately became defensive, claiming no one named Misty worked there. When I showed her how I booked it through the website link, it turned out a former employee had hijacked her Yelp page, which was redirecting clients to a faulty booking system.Despite the confusion, the owner agreed to honor my 11:00 AM appointment. I arrived early at 10:45 AM and noticed she was still working on another client. When I asked how much longer it would take, she promised 15 minutes. Instead, she spent the next 45 minutes dealing with Yelp customer service. While I sat there waiting, I had to listen to her repeatedly berate the customer service representative, aggressively bragging about being a business owner and threatening them with lawyers.By 11:45 AM--now 45 minutes late--she finally brought me back. When I honestly told her I was upset about the long delay, she brushed it off, saying she "had to take care of that Yelp thing." I told her that my time as a customer matters too, especially since she had already canceled on me once before. At that point, she threatened to refuse my service entirely. I insisted on getting the pedicure I had been waiting weeks for. To make matters worse, she then tried to paint my toenails before even washing or prepping my feet. When I asked her to please clean my feet first, she completely refused to do my nails at all.The owner's behavior was incredibly unprofessional, argumentative, and disrespectful of my time. I will not be returning.

I cannot say enough about Scotus and Lotus Structural Integration... it has literally been life…read morechanging for me. I was looking for body work and massage, I had never heard of SI before, and I am so glad I accidentally found it. I've suffered from neck/shoulder pain and lower back pain since I was a teenager, and would experience spasms and debilitating pain every few months and need to go to my chiropractor and sometimes take medication, and since starting the series with Scotus I have not seen my chiropractor once. I have zero pain, zero tension.. my body feels lighter and exercise is much easier and more enjoyable. I am more flexible and even sleep better. I am actually shocked at the results, and so grateful. Not only did this series support my physical body, but also my emotional and spiritual healing, as much of our trauma is stored in our fascial system, but is hard to move out of those areas without this kind of support. I am 100% confident that this work expedited some serious inner work I was in the midst of, and has helped to regulate my nervous system as well. Anyone looking for a holistic approach to healing on all levels will benefit from working with Scotus. And perhaps most importantly, Scotus is such a kind soul and makes people feel so comfortable, understood, and supported, and really just felt like an old friend. He will tailor sessions to what his clients need, is so easy to talk to, and so good at what he does. I could go on and on about how healing this experience was for me, and I highly recommend his work to anyone needing this kind of support. We need more people like Scotus in the world.
