It was Thursday morning around 8. Steve avery showed up at around 1 pm and acknowledged that the pump should be replaced. He had the chamber pumped on Friday and said he would get a new pump. We had to refrain from using excessive water. He just left us hanging. I called Friday evening and he said he had the pump but wouldn't work on it til Monday. Monday came and went and he ignored our calls. Also Tuesday ignored our calls. Tuesday night promised Wednesday morning. Nothing. Finally came by Thursday without speaking to anyone, left in 30 minutes . No communication until Monday when we got a bill. Still no communication but assume work is done. Called and asked for information on warranty. Still nothing. It's been 10 days

When we told them that it was backing up into our basement, they said they would let us know if there was a cancellation. I called Smith, and Ashley made things happen. She was friendly and understanding of the urgency of the situation. She took my number and called back within 15 minutes, telling me that she could get a truck there sometime today between 11 and 3:30. She went over pricing, and I know they could not have charged me for the 'rush.' When the guy got here, at 11:30!!!!!, he could not have been more nice or professional. We have found our new 'septic professionals.' Update 08/15/2015 We had a problem with our main line, and needed it snaked. Smith could snake from the tank to the foundation, but not past that (I assume due to licensing restrictions, but I didn't ask) and I did not think that would solve our problem. The woman on the phone was both sympathetic and helpful, even suggesting we call another local company!! I took the number for 'the competition,' and thanked her very much. What an amazing company!!

The 2 other companies (one of which I used for 47 years), told me there would be a $100 "emergency charge" for same day service. Aren't most septic problems an emergency? Heritage was there in about 3-4 hours. No "emergency charge" and very reasonable. The service agent did an excellent job pumping and also cleaned the filters in record time. Heritage is now my go-to company. Thank you. You saved the day!

It is a difficult, messy job and between scheduling service and routes and emptying full trucks there may be moments where its not a perfect science, especially if they are stuck on a difficult clean out or helping a customer with a clog, going the extra mile is what ABC does, they just did for my family, again! He has serviced us 2 previous times and should know this info. He instructed us to leave a check in the door for the amount of the service ($225) which I did. When my significant other arrived home mid-day to take out the dog, she saw spotting in the driveway (oil). I called them up and told them that there were large oil drips in my driveway and I would like him to stop by and clean it up. I was then told that it is "back flush from the service and it just washes away." I told him that there was black oil and he refused to believe it was from him. He told me that he would come out and check it but that I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A SERVICE CALL! Absolutely do not use this service. I take good care of my property and our cars are both brand new so it is not from us. I am thinking of contacting the better business bureau as well. STAY FAR AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PROPERTY DAMAGED AND LEFT HOLDING THE BILL FOR CLEANUP!

Took my number and said that Mark the 'pump guy' would return my call. Less than 5 minutes later, I am talking to Mark. Great on the phone, asks if it is an emergency, but it's not and he says he will call first thing in the AM. 8:30 to be exact, and 15 minutes later, there he is. He checks out the situation, gives us the price, and we agree to the work. There was a slight problem when the cap would not come off of the cleanout in the basement, but a couple of whacks with a hammer and chisel, and a SMALL charge for the part, and we were back on track. He ran the industrial snake through the main line, all the way out to the tank, and had us run water and flush, and we were good to go. One more thing. I don't know if Mark has pets, but he was very good about not letting our cat out. All in all, just a great guy with a great company. Thanks you guys, you are lifesavers!!!

I finally decided I could not finish the the job myself and called some professionals for estimates. On Grade came by and gave me an estimate, I told them I had another company coming later that day on Saturday and would get back to them ASAP. The other company kept me waiting until after 5pm that day so with that I decided on On Grade. I did not call On Grade to tell them until Monday because I don't like people calling me on Sunday so I figured they may not like either. I guess Bob was not happy that I waited that long but accepted the job. He said they would get to it in around 3 to 4 weeks later. I had no problem with that since it was early October. I called the first week of November and asked if they needed a deposit. Bob got angry saying that the weather had held them up even though I had not even asked when they would start? Needless to say they never started the job last November. Once the weather got to cold to plant grass I called and left a message asking if they would get to it this year. No return call. I called again this last Friday and as of today no return call. I would think a professional business would at least call and tell me that they were not interested in doing the job any longer. I guess I don't deserve that respect, don't know why but that is the way some people are. Would I tell any of my friends to use this company, no.
