Creative and individualized bouquets. They work with you to make the perfect bouquet for an occasion.

LOVE the store's vibe, the ladies who run it, the kitty, flowers and merchandise. It's delicious - warm, friendly and cool. This is not just my go-to florist but it's also one of the first places I go for celebration cards and gifts. I can always find a unique something for any occasion. Fave! read more

As an organic cannabis farmer that also grows flowers on our farm in Oregon--and someone who grew up in OKC--I was excited to support a local floral shop for Mother's Day. I even share mutual friends with Amy in the art and music scene, so I thought this would be a heartfelt connection. Unfortunately, what I received was far from that. I paid over $100 (including delivery) and specifically requested no orange or dusty pink, no warm tones--the bouquet was entirely those colors. It was also significantly smaller than the arrangement I ordered last year from this same shop at a lower price. As someone who grows peonies myself, I understand their cost and value--and I know they're perennials, relatively low-effort to maintain, and not rare at all. Just seasonal like tulips, ranunculus, anemones etc. I asked for peonies and showed pictures online of the arrangement from last year filled with peonies. When I asked why it was so much smaller (even when I paid more this year) and only had two peonies, Amy sassily remarked that flowers prices have gone up "astronomically" and peonies are $8-10 a stem. Okay well for $80 then include at least 6 peonies and the rest with filler foliage. Super basic math. I told her she should have communicated that beforehand and asked if I wanted all peonies or some with other filler flowers. Tbh when I ordered the flowers she was short with me and didn't seem bothered to care what I had to say. Should have taken that as a red flag from the egotistical monster she's become. Florists may justify the inflated pricing with excuses like "higher demand," "labor," or "limited availability," especially around holidays. But what this really is, is emotional price gouging--manipulating sentiment for profit rather than celebrating it with integrity. That kind of business model turns meaningful gestures into overpriced transactions, and it shows. When I calmly called to explain my concerns, I disclosed that I'm autistic and was trying to advocate for myself because she wouldn't let me finish a single sentence. I said I was getting overwhelmed and that this was hard for me as she continued to over talk my every word with extreme hostility. It had me very startled. Instead of compassion, I was met with yelling, dismissal, and cruelty. Amy steamrolled me the entire time, wouldn't let me get a word out, and left me in tears. I had to have my husband take over the call because I couldn't emotionally handle the way she was treating me. The experience left me deeply shook. I was not expecting that at all from someone in a customer service job. All she had to do was take accountability for her mistake and say sorry and deliver a new bouquet in exchange for the wrong one or refund me. It's that simple. We even offered to pay an additional delivery fee! This unprofessional experience didn't need to happen. She refused any resolution other than a 20% refund or have my mother (the recipient of this gift) go out of her way to awkwardly bring the bouquet in to change out a couple flowers, which is unacceptable. I reasonably requested a new bouquet delivered to her I was met with laughter and ego. What hurt also is that this shop brands itself around artistry and community--but it became painfully clear that if you're not "someone" on Amy's radar or someone wealthy, you're not treated with respect. She said "you only spent $100 so that's what you get". Two peonies and cheap filler flowers. That kind of judgmental, elitist energy has no place in customer service business. This was one of the most degrading experiences I've had as a customer--let alone a neurodivergent one. In the end, I was refunded minus delivery fee after they realized how embarrassing their behavior was. I believe in supporting local, in giving grace, and in honest dialogue. But I also believe in calling out abusive behavior--especially toward disabled people trying to advocate for themselves. This was a painful and unnecessary experience, and I will never support this shop again. Amy, get some help you are toxic. read more

I called from Florida to have an arrangement sent to my granddaughter who was recovering from an operation. I asked for a youthful, unusual, architectural design. A beautiful bouquet arrived the same day and was exactly what I had described. Well done and thanks, read more

I walked in at the 13th hour and was met with such kind energy and a willingness to help. Ran by two awesome ladies, they will be my go to florist in the area. Plus the shop has great treasures for sale. Yummy candles, stickers, cards, etc... Stop in for your day of or pre order floral needs. Wow! Such a wonderful surprise! This arrangement is gorgeous! The vase looks hand painted with holly to make it even more special. The roses are tipped with silver glitter which tops it off. I've never seen such a beautiful arrangement as this. Perfect!! read more

I love this locally owned flower shop. I recently ordered an arrangement for someone and per usual they didn't disappoint. I have walked in to buy fresh flowers many times in the past and my husband has also ordered arrangements here. When I asked if someone could send me a picture of the finished arrangement for my recent order they did not hesitate to say yes and in the end also included a video. They always have a great selection of high quality beautiful flowers and the little shop itself carries some fun and unusual gifty items. Highly recommend! read more

The most magical little shop I have ever come across in OKC! This place is filled with amazing finds from eclectic items, seasonal decorations, and of course floral arrangements. I went in just to browse and found myself leaving with the cutest candle sets. I will definitely be back when looking for an arrangement or cute card to go with it! read more

Anyone who knows me knows that A Date with Iris is my go to place for any floral arrangement. They never disappoint when it comes to beautiful and unique arrangements - regardless the occasion. My family goes to A Date with Iris for any birthday, holiday, and even my daughter's wedding. They continue to impress me more with each time. I love receiving flowers, but I don't want the same ol same ol that Suzy down the hall gets. A Date with Iris understands this and delivers every time. read more

This review is solely for the gift shop, since I've not had the chance to order flowers from here (how do you tag your husband in Yelp posts for a passive aggressive hint, asking for a friend) This is my favorite type of place to find small gifts and cards for friends. Their products are thoughtful, eclectic, funny and always charming. They carry some well known brands (Rifle Paper) but most are unheard of brands. The two ladies are lovey and personable, but let's be real- the real star is the cat shoppe. Will definitely be coming here for flowers soon! read more

Exceptionally fresh cut flowers and artistically designed arrangements every time. Great location and solid value always.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Customer service is a 10/10 and the ladies there are so sweet. Gorgeous selection of flowers and other goodies throughout the store. I needed a last minute boutonniere and corsage for prom and they turned out beautifully. I will be coming here again. read more

I called in last minute on a Friday before Valentines Day. They had a bouquet of long stemmed red roses ready for me in 20 mins. My girlfriend loved them and also the card I bought there! The ladies were very warm & friendly. Bonus points for their resident kitty. read more

A Date With Iris has always been my favorite small business in OKC, and it was such a no-brainer to book them for our wedding. They made my vision come to magical, beautiful life and I was absolutely in love with how our florals turned out. The first time I cried on my wedding day was when I saw my bouquet for the first time!! They took my inspo pictures and elevated them while still keeping the spirit of the inspiration. The colors were rich, the textures were luxe, and the setup was immaculate. I am so grateful to them for setting the tone of our night so beautifully, and highly recommend Kris and the rest of the team to anyone looking for florals for any event, or even just a pick-me-up bouquet. Five Stars. read more

YES!!!!! I love it when I find a home run kind of place! I automatically had a smile on my face even BEFORE I entered when the sign on the door asked me to "Please knock before entering, our kitty is an escape artist!" What a lovely escape artist! She's sweet and quite the talker! I was on a mission to find a particular Twinkle product that I knew they sold. Not only did they have and use the products, they also knew the owner of Twinkle. I like that! This is SO much more than a floral shop, and the flowers are lovely, it is full of really wonderful, fun odds and ends, gifts for someone else or yourself! Treat yourself to a super fab time and stop by A Date With Iris! I know you'll walk away Happy! read more

One of my favorite local florists in the heart of Oklahoma City, historic Western Ave. I recently got to work with Kris and Stephanie from A Date With Iris on an event I was hosting. They created beautiful, unique, floral centerpieces they are known for, and worked within my budget to make sure I stayed well within my balance sheet. But don't overlook this as just a florist. If you need a gift that's not perishable, be sure to check out their selection of gifts, cards and decor. No matter the occasion or the holiday, they have something that fits in with what you're looking for... I'm kind of obsessed with some cute little sheep they have right now for Easter. Like, as in, these are the sheep I count to get to sleep. They're so darling - I took a picture to show you! read more

This place has been excellent during the pandemic. Inexpensive flower wraps, gifts, and my FAVORITE silk face mask. The ladies are super kind and will bring your items right out to your car. They've got fun wrapping sheets that double as posters, and a ton of puzzles, cards, etc. read more

I've been buying my wife and daughters arrangements from here for years. They never cease to amaze. Great quality and they work with any budget. This place is more than a flower shop. I stopped in because it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Being new I took 30 mins looking at every little item. They have very quality items and lots to enjoy. I will definitely pick up an arrangement next time I'm in the area. The girls that own it are precious and so is the big kitty that greets the costumers. Lovely all around. Great place for Christmas finds. read more

Very relaxed environment without a whole lot of arrangements pre-made, so what you want is arranged on the spot. Super friendly, beautiful flowers, and the black cat that lives there is awesome! 5 stars, will be returning the next time I need a floral arrangement for sure. read more

Food: N/A Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Decor & Style: 2/5 We ordered over $5500 worth of flowers for a funeral however they did not look like they were worth $5500 (grocery store level of pretty). However we chose this place because all the flowers they had in there look amazing, so kind of misleading. I think they would be great for smaller projects, but probably not worth $5500 of flowers. read more

Flowers started to wilt after 1 day. Notified company and they weren't willing to do anything to help preserve these flowers.

I cannot believe there is not a review for A Date With Iris. The owner is Kris and she is fantastic!!! It was always a great pleasure to give her beautiful arrangements for any occasion. She always has a large variety of fresh flowers including many unique flowers that I only could seem to find here. She was always very flexible with me showing up and having the perfect arrangement within 15-20 minutes max. Kris designed all of the flower arrangements for a close friends wedding and they were stunning. Kris exceeded satisfaction as she always did for me! I highly recommend her for all floral needs!! (Also, if you slip in on a Friday, you may just catch her sipping mimosas and find yourself doing the same). read more

Unbelievably good customer service! Parking can be a bear, granted, but the arrangements and gifts here can make the mess of Western Avenue "construction parking" worth the hassle. My go-to for all things floral and unique gifts! Kris and Steph always do amazing work. They make beautiful arrangements and bouquet for my wedding, made perfect arrangements for my daughter's graduation party, but most importantly, always have a wonderful selection of gorgeous flowers if you need a single wrap or a last minute bouquet. I cannot say enough how much I love these women and their artistic talent. Also, I get to support local AND women entrepreneurs!! Win win. read more

If you need a unique fit or a floral arrangement that looks like something crazy awesome and straight off your Pinterest dream board, A Date with Iris is the place for you. I had the chance to work with them multiple times through different events and also had the benefit of living just down the street, so I could pop in any time I needed a small birthday or hostess gift. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and helped me find the perfect fit for what I was looking for. And besides the gifts, the flowers are incredible. every time I had to pick up arrangements here I was so excited to see what crazy weird flowers would be included--and I mean that in the best way possible! It was like flowers from space/the jungle/etc. and besides being incredibly unique, the arrangements were also super long lasting! With regular maintenance (changing water and taking out brown bits) I would easily have an arrangement for a week and a half to two weeks after I picked them up. If you're looking for the best and most unique florist in the area, look no further. read more

A Date With Iris is my go to flower palace when I'm in okc. From beautifully handmade flower crowns to the most exquisite of flower arrangements, these gals know what they're doing! The flowers they arrange have a bold and unique personality, if you will. I don't like getting regular, simple, I could have picked these up anywhere flowers. I like ADWI because they make whatever statement you want for your occasion. Have a vision in mind? Don't be afraid to ask. The ladies are creative and fun. I haven't even gotten to the best part. Some of my favorite one-of-a-kind furniture has come from here. I also LOVE greeting cards and their selection always has two to five, six, seven... that I must own. Basically, if you like high-quality flowers that are sure to bring a smile to whomever is the recipient, do yourself a favor and hit up A Date With Iris. You and the flower recipient won't be sorry! read more

Have I really not written a review for ADWI? This place is the bomb. If you are looking for a beautiful and unique flower arrangement - look no further, you've found your florist. You're also going to be treated to a feast for the senses with beautiful and thoughtful gifts throughout. The Stephanie is a wonder, Kris is always good for a laugh and both are a great conversation waiting to happen. The shop cat, Deedee (I'm not sure on her spelling, I've never asked her), is one of my favorite parts. She's the cutest little shop cat and she'll definitely help you pick out the best gifts. On a personal note - this shop's dedication to customer service is just above and beyond. I needed a last-minute hostess gift one night - I was literally on my way to the hostess's house and eek, my bad - they were having a private event. They dropped everything and had me out the door in less than 15 minutes with two absolutely gorgeous arrangements. I could not have been happier - as these were flowers for two of my favorite ladies and they deserved - and got 0- the best! Oh, as if you needed another reason to support this awesome local business - they take Keep it Local, and there's always one more thing you absolutely cannot leave without. I had to tear myself away from these reproduction posters of anatomical drawings and antique maps the other day. They will be mine. Check it out asap, seriously. You're welcome. read more

This place has become my last minute go-to shop for Anniversaries, Birthdays, Valentine's Days, and most importantly: all of my 'Oh crap I'm-in-the-doghouse again' occasions. I have no reservations about walking in there absolutely clueless because the ladies at this shop are always extremely helpful, not to mention patient, and I walk out without a doubt that they will exceed my expectations. The thing that draws me to A Date With Iris is the fact that they have unique and interesting locally grown flowers that you wouldn't normally find anywhere else. You won't find any of those south of the border flowers here. They might have a few set arrangements to choose from around the popular holidays, but other than that, they don't really have standard arrangements; you just give them an idea of what you're looking for and they create a beautiful piece with whatever happens to look best that week. The ladies take the time to put their best foot forward and present arrangements of only the highest quality. They make each and every arrangement feel uniquely special. Give this great flower shop a try and don't make the mistake of going with one of those 1-800 flowers delivered-in-a-box arrangements, unless of course you're planning on an extended stay in the dog house. Me personally, I prefer the bed. read more

Very friendly girl in the phone and she took care of my order. The arrangement was beautiful and reasonably priced.

I called this florist based on yelp reviews and location. I am from out of town and needed two arrangements for a very special occasion. The lady I talked with was super helpful and made it obvious that she caught on quickly to my less than stellar explanation of what I wanted. Also, delivery and timing were going to be weird as I need them delivered to my hotel at a particular time, easy to transport without making a mess....I was seriously a pain!!! My two (very different arrangements) arrived at the perfect time, at my hotel, and they were PERFECT!!! She literally took the picture in my head and delivered them to me. Well made, well packaged and BEAUTIFUL!!!! Everyone commented on them!! I can't recommend this place enough!! Thank you for making that part of my daughters evening a beautiful success!! read more
