But I've also enjoyed shopping here as a customer, but almost exclusively for gifts - wedding, hostess, and special birthday gifts. From a wonderful selection of beautiful dishes and linens, to all manner of candles and home decor, this is my go-to stop when I know I need to take a gift but I have no idea what to take! I know that sounds nebulous, but it's true! Bookmark this as a go-to gift store. When in doubt, On A Whim. The French dip was okay, but The Capital Grille is substantially better. I thought I was the only one who felt this way, but after a small discussion, even my daughter said her burger was so salty, she didn't want to take the leftovers home. I did get a wonderful cookie with a candle lit for my birthday, which was super sweet. The ambiance is beautiful too. I just wish the Monday afternoon birthday luncheon would've matched the view. We had a load of fun. The chef was great, the dinner delectable, and the couple we were paired with delightful. All of the hard work, the prep, was ready for us when we started, and of course we had no clean-up The mushroom duxelles is a French mushroom mixture made by finely chopping mushrooms, shallots, and herbs, then sautéing them in butter until the moisture has evaporated and the mixture forms a paste. The paste is then spread on the puff pastry that is then wrapped around the beef. Each cooking table (station) was occupied with two couples assigned per station. This arrangement is perfect for friends that want to enjoy the experience together. On the down side there is no seating, so be prepared to stand for two hours while you are cooking and enjoying the fruits of your labor, eating at the cooking station where you prepared the meal. The experience was fun and enjoyable, and even Jan who is an excellent cook, left with a few new tips. They allow you to bring one bottle of wine per couple. The cost was $100 per person.

Okay, fine. No updates again l, started calling early Sept, told it was waiting to be put on the truck from Dallas (I'm in OKC). Again, no updates after that call. I called again 18,19,20, finally getting mad because the manager said, "let me see what we can do for you and I'll call you back" only to never be called back each time. Finally, calling back speaking with Angel who said she would called the warehouse asked to pull my order and she'd call me back. She did. I picked it up on Monday Sept 25 from an order of one bench on July 1. Horrible. But wait, it gets better.....the bench wasn't even put together!!! $400 custom bench and it was sent to me with the frame attached to another top and in pieces. I will never set one foot in that store again. I've purchased tons of furniture from other local stores and in Dallas and have never been treated the way that store treated me. Never been lied to and ran around like their "manager" did either. Terrible customer service and I had to put it together to boot. Never. Never. Never.
