I'm all about supporting local businesses, but I have to be honest. I ordered these arrangements for my mom, grandma, and MIL for Mother's Day. These are what they got.. I understand they can't get the exact flowers pictured and sometimes they have to substitute some, which I completely understand, but overall, these are so messy and thrown together. For the price, I expected these to be better. In addition to this experience, I contacted Cheevers a few months ago about doing my wedding flowers. That experience should've been a sign to avoid doing business with them. Very poor customer service. Very disappointed since I've heard so many great things and I believe in shopping local, but I've had an unpleasant experience with this business multiple times now. read more

I am very disappointed with the flowers that were delivered to my friend today for the price I was charged. There is no way the bouquet below is a $100.00 arrangement. I spoke to the lady on the phone last night and told her what I was looking for on the FTD website and she pulled it up and looked at it and said she theycould do it but it would be in vase which is what I preferred. The arrangements in the link below on the FTD website were 96.00 and have a lot more flowers and are just more beautiful. That container they sent her flowers in look like something from the dollar store. To say I am beyond furious is an understatement. How can they even compare their arrangement and say it is even close to the pictures below? There are so many other places to get pretty flowers in the city - - why waste your money on rude staff?

I ordered a fairly expensive bouquet for my sisters bday and the flowers they sent were nothing like the bouquet I ordered which were supposed to be all pink, mostly roses. The bouquet she got was filled with cheaper flowers (greener daisies and carnations) with random Colors and varieties. I understand sometimes flowers become out of stock , but usually get a call stating so and for approval of the change. I called and Larry Cheever talked to me who was nice enough but not too apologetic and could not tell me why it was completely incorrect order. He said they could then deliver a new one a day after my sister bday and called back to make sure they had her phone number which I thought was odd since I left a note stating leaving on the porch was fine if not home. When she got the new bouquet, I understood why they wanted her to be home. They asked for the day old incorrect flower bouquet back! That is the most horrible business practice I have ever heard of. I guess someone will get those delivered to their house. Terrible service and quality control. Never again. read more

This was our first time using Cheever's but it definitely will not be our last! My husband wanted to do something special for our daughter going to prom since she was going stag. He (as all men do) waited until 2 days before prom. He search 4 other florists for a corsage and no one could help him. When he went to Cheever's he was met with a smile and excellent service. Just ordered flowers for a friend , she was recently hospitalized and is not feeling up to par. Called Cheever's Flowers for the first time , Thinking since they are a couple miles from her house they might get delivered tomorrow. With in the hour my friend called, my heart sank, assuming it might be her feeling worse, I called her right back thinking she might need some help. Low and Behold it was my sweet friend thanking me for the flowers!! She said they smell wonderful!! Yippee! a very nice surprise for her and myself! She said they were also beautiful ! On the contrary, Tiffany, the owner and fourth generation owner of the oldest flower shop in Oklahoma City, (1927) was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my selection was exactly what I wanted, and within my budget. But due to their amazing floral arrangements and customer service skills (both muscles are flexed daily btw) I would pick them our of a long list every day. Don't Bother! We called from out of town to purchase flowers for a funeral. We provided very specific instructions and paid a lot of money. A friend forwarded a pic via his iPhone upon delivery, THANKFULLY, as we were shocked to see a flower arrangement that looked little like what we requested and had half the amount of flowers we expected. Honestly, we could have purchased the arrangement at any other floral shop for half the money. They definitely took advantage of us being out of town. After we called and complained they added a few more and it still looked sad. It breaks my heart to write a bad review because I deeply believe in supporting local business. We just moved here a couple months ago. I called a few flower shops and chose Cheever's because they were confidence they were not only the most experience (based on time they have been open) but they were very helpful over the phone. The representative on the phone said " I PROMISE YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED". I was sending flowers to my wife who was turning 40. This was a huge milestone for her personally and I wanted to make it special. We were suppose to go to Jamaica, however that wasn't possible so I sent her a very expensive arrangement with tropical flowers. The arrangement was suppose to be huge and have several balloons attacked that said happy birthday. Not knowing our weekend schedule I asked to be called or notified before they left. On Saturday January 8th the flowers came without notice and there were no balloon attached. I spent some good money for this and wanted it to be so special for her. The arrangement was nice and it was beautiful but once again the balloons were not attached. I called and nicely explained that I was disappointed they did not contact me first like we had agreed and they balloon were not attached. She of course apologized and after stumbling as to why this happened told me there was a national helium shortage, which wasn't the truth. I asked who the owner was and she told my Tiffany and ask to speak with her regarding the situation. I then called 4 other flower shops and Airgas to ask about lack of helium. There wasn't a helium shortage and now I am upset I was lied to on top of the order not being complete. I didn't get a call from Tiffany on the following Monday so I called them mid afternoon and was told she was not available once again and that she would return my call. I didn't receive a call on Wednesday so I tried mid morning and once again was told she wasn't available and she would return my call. It has been several weeks and I still haven't received a call to speak about the situation. I feel like I was lied to and my order was incorrect on an event I cannot redo. Even though the flowers were beautiful and the staff is kind I am extremely disappointed they will not attempt to resolve this and I have a major issue with that. I was so disappointed with the flowers I ordered for my grandfather's funeral. Four of the five "white" lilies had brown spots covering the centers and brown tattered edges. The arrangement was smaller than the one shown online and had fewer flowers. They did say they thought it MIGHT arrive in time for the viewing but wouldn't guarantee it...it did not arrive. They were absolutely fantastic to work with. Upon arrival in the city, I met in person with Tiffany. I had some very specific requests, based on what my Mom loved; they delivered absolutely beautiful arrangements, which embodied both the traditional AND artistic characteristics I asked for; incorporating some very non-traditional flowers. She even overheard a conversation with my brother and I about out Mom's love of Cattails, and incorporated those into the pieces. What a pleasant surprise when we saw them at the Funeral home!
