I love house shopping! I've been here before and loved the decor. It's not necessarily my go to furniture because it's expensive and doesn't look very family friendly. Would be great for a condo or sleek bachelorette pad. Today I decided to stop in for curtains. I need blackout curtains and wanted good quality which can mean higher price point. I was willing to pay the amount because I don't plan on replacing the curtains anytime soon if ever. Just my truth.. haha! Initially I looked around and the employee never asked me if I needed help. So, I spoke with her and inquired about my needs. She still seemed to pause and continued to sit down. So I asked again in a friendly manner with a big smile. She gets up and helps me to look. We came in at 6pm ,they are open till 7 pm ..My wife and I were the only customers with a staff of three on the floor...I had pics of chairs from their online from online...They didn't have any of the three in stock at the store..I was going to order two chairs. But who is going to order a chair that you haven't sat on .I 've shopped this store in Houston and NYC and have't ever had such unhelpful help as here in OKC...They didn't offer to show me what they had in stock in the size I wanted...I had to get the fabric guy off his computer to show me a fabric ...None of the three seemed very interested in working...I guess I'll have to check out the store in Dallas... read more

So disappointed. Finally found a couch that I wanted! Purchased on 10/7/22 with estimated delivery of 10/21/22. Had thought about custom material but was told that would be 5 weeks to be delivered. Decided to stick with what was available. When I tracked the order, it showed "in transit to store" with estimated pickup of 10/21-11/9. Ok...was hoping to get sooner, but I could live with that. Decided I should call customer service to confirm. Come to find out, the order hadn't left fulfillment, meaning it hasn't even left the warehouse which is overseas. Now the website is saying estimated pick up 11/7-11/28. So, who knows when, or if, I will receive. Purchased a table online from West elm. It was damaged. They told me they would provide a replacement. After the time expired to return the table they quietly canceled my replacement order without telling me. Stay away from this place. If you get a delivery look the furniture over very well. West Elm is where you shop if you: 1. have a larger than average budget to work with when furniture shopping 2. want furniture that doesn't have nailhead trim on it (unlike 95% of furniture found in Oklahoma) 3. want to purchase trendy decor that's toeing the line between kinda expensive and obnoxiously expensive The furniture tends to be more condo-esque in size (i.e. smaller), which is great if you have a small condo in/around Midtown, but probably not ideal for filling out the average Oklahoma living space. But really, the main reason to shop at West Elm is for the great decor options. The stuff is different from what you're likely to find at Mathis Bros., because: (a) the trendy items at Mathis Bros. are few and far between, or (b) the nice stuff from West Elm is several years out from catching on at Mathis Bros. But I appreciate that West Elm's stuffy isn't so trendy (or out there) that you'll regret buying the stuff shortly after (like a I feel like I would with a lot of the stuff at Edmond Furniture Gallery). All this to say, there's very little (if any) shiplap to be seen at West Elm, that's for sure... Chip and Joanna, you seem like nice people, but criminy, enough is enough. Above average customer service as well. Pro-tip: Sign up for their emails to get a 10% promo code. But it can't be used with clearance stuff. Which isn't a big deal I suppose because very little in the store is clearanced. read more

I got a coffee table here yesterday. It was normally about $700 and I got it 30% off. It was easy to put together and I like it. Everyone in the store was great and helpful. However, it was disappointing to find that West Elm put two stickers on the coffee table that left white sticky residue when removed. One of them was at lease 4x4 inches and was on the inside of a storage area, a place I'll see when I open the pop up top. There were also instructional stickers for assembly, these came off easily and did not bother me at all. If they come off easily without leaving residue, I have no problem with it. I was hesitant to use certain chemicals to get the residue off because the instructions with the table warned against using harsh chemicals. Since this cost me hundreds of dollars, I want to take care of it. It is disappointing that West Elm did not use a higher quality sticker or design a better process for delivering the information on the stickers, knowing that they would value the table at $700. I'd be more convinced that it's worth the money if the manufacture treated it like it was. I wouldn't let my child put stickers on someone else's furniture (or my own), so it's not ideal for the manufacturer to do it. I know I'm not buying the highest quality furniture out there, but this seems like low hanging fruit for West Elm to communicate that this table is worth the price. I also ordered three other pieces of furniture when I made this purchase, all more expensive than this one, so I'm hoping I don't have the same issue when they're delivered. Like I said, everyone in this OKC store is great and I have no problems with the store. If I could have left this review on westelm.com I would have but they don't seem to allow reviews. read more

You guys know I don't spend a lot of time or money at chain stores, but West Elm in Classen Curve may be the exception that proves the rule. I went for the first time earlier this week and I'm sold. The furnishings are all fantastic, and so are the linens and accessories. We ended up buying a bar cart, as well as several different decor items. Everyone who helped us on the staff was lovely, and we really enjoyed the experience of shopping there. We'll also give them a pass for being a chain, since they do feature items by local artists like Erin Cooper, Love Well Handmade, Christine Crowe and Pencil Shavings Studio. I imagine I'll be in here to buy last minute hostess gifts on my way to parties, and to treat myself to nice, new home things from time to time. read more

Oooo this place is so addictive! I love all the modern home decor and furniture West Elm offers. I think the prices on some items are very good especially for pillows, shams, douvet covers, and bedding in general. They mostly sell furniture items such as sofas, dining tables, desks, entertainment systems, and bed sleighs. But, they have a bunch of other knick knacks such as random jewelry boxes, plates, mugs, flatware, lamps, vases, imitation plants and flowers, as well as decorative mirrors. Everything is very modern and simplistic. Some items feel very high quality while others feel very cheap. I could stay in here for hours just looking at all the bedding and decorative pillows. Horrible customer service. I have not had one pleasant experience here, the staff is extremely rude. I purchased a quilt that had a 40% discount that was not applied to my purchase. After pointing out the mistake the employee didn't believe me and told me to show him because he is "certain there is no discount". I showed him the discount and he rudely rolled his eyes and didn't apologize for the mistake. I've been a fan of West Elm since my New York days. I am happy to see that West Elm has a presence in Oklahoma City because we need West Elm in our lives. Why? West Elm has some pretty stylish furniture out there, including my all-time favorite mid-century modern pieces. I have been to the OKC store location countless times and failed to give them a legit review until now. The store is always staffed with friendly faces who are ready to greet you and assist you in your shopping adventure. The store has both regular priced items as well as those on sale. I often look online first for what I want at West Elm before I go into the store to check it out in person. The OKC store usually has what I'm looking for on the sales floor, which is great for someone who likes to feel/try out the item before making that purchase. The price is comparable to other furniture retail outlets, but I tend to go with West Elm because their stuff is by far the most stylish and hip! read more

I like the look of West Elm's pieces, but am disappointed in the lack of good quality in the actual construction of most of W.E.'s furniture pieces. Sorry, but particleboard/MDF is NOT solid wood, and should not advertised as such. Also, there's a glaring and inexplicable disparity between store prices and online catalog/website prices. (Utterly baffling, this.) l love the "Alta" dinnerware here, though, especially in the bright orange color. (Come to mention it, ALL of the dinnerware I've seen at West Elm I LOVE -- including the now discontinued "Northern Lights" stemware in the smoke color, and even the clear.) The linens here are cool, albeit a tad expensive for a chain store. (The sales are good, though. I watch for those from time to time.) Ample parking at this northwest Oklahoma City location just across from Nichols Hills, so, well, there's that working in its favor. Beautiful staging/arrangement, too. Love the store, but the staff is rude. I had called the store and inquired about something being delivered. I asked if there were shipping charges, if the chandelier was shipped to the store, as opposed to my home. The West Elm sales person I spoke with over the phone said, "No, if you ship it to the store, there will be no shipping charges". When I went to the store one hour later, the sales person who was helping me, told me the exact opposite. The sales person informed the "manager", and in front of my face, the manager told me that no one would have told me, and that he has the best crew working there tonight. I said yes I was told this, I wouldn't just make this up, and he responded, "Take out your cell phone and show me that you actually called this store". Unbelievable!!! I did show him my phone that had the date and time on it. Even with verification, the store manager didn't care. I have spent a ton of money at West Elm over the years.The "manager" was male, on the shorter side, and possibly Hispanic, not exactly sure on his ethnicity, but trying to identify who exactly he is. In the future, if I want something from West Elm, I will shop for it in their store, but I will purchase my desired items on the Internet. I won't give them my business. Furthermore, I do agree that many of the staff are snotty. I always find it amazing when a sales person is pretentious to a customer. Wow! I can't believe I'm the first person to give them a review?! I am a part of the decorating industry (run an online home site) and was invited to attend a private press preview before the showroom opened. Coming from the NYC area and relocating to OKC, I was disappointed in the lack of home furnishing companies. Aside from Pottery Barn and a few others--to me--there didn't seem like much. When I was first asked to visit West Elm I did not hesitate. With my seven month old in tow we received a private preview of the store and boy was it nice. If you love moderately-priced modern furniture, this is your store. If you're looking for those everyday essentials, this is your store. It even has a section of goods made by folks in the surrounding area which is super nice. The store does a fabulous job with their displays and the staff is super duper nice. All of the pretty things! First off, the fact that we even have a West Elm in OKC is amazing, and right next to another favorite, Anthropologie. The store is set up beautifully and the staff are very helpful and on point, even if you're just browsing and not planning on spending big bucks. The store is quite full, I'd recommend looking online first and making a game plan before coming in store, the staff was helpful with me when I did this as well. They're currently collaborating with one of my most-loved lines, Kate Spade Saturday - the prices for this are really reasonable. They also recently featured several local artists and makers - amazing! This little corner of the world does require a little bit more bulk in the wallet, but quality products nonetheless. You can expect to spend about $20-40 on a pillow case. Sales do happen frequently and are well advertised. read more

I had never been into a West Elm till yesterday, was visiting a friend in OKC. Let me just say what a horrible feeling to be in there, nice things but staff does not make you feel welcomed. Read some of the yelp reviews before coming and it seems like others had the same experience I did, NO SERVICE! Guy walked past me twice looked over and didn't even greet me! Maybe since I was in my work clothes I wasn't worthy of his product. Sad to see such beautiful merchandise in a messy store with hardly any guest and the worst service. You'd think with only a few customers they would at least try and talk to you in hopes of making a sale. Love this store!! So happy we have this in okc! The only thing bad is that there are so many things to buy! But thats hardly a problem at all. I recommend this as a great place to shop not only for yourself and your home, but also for gifts for any occasion. I went here on Christmas Eve for last minute Christmas shopping with a friend, and I ended finding so many things to complete the gifts of my friends and family. We were told to take the cushion back to the Oklahoma City store, which we did, and they placed an order for the correct cushion and sent ours back to the company After a few months our new cushion never showed up so we called and the order number they had given us at the store when the ordered a new cushion did not match any order number. They basically took the cushion we had, sent it back, and never ordered a new one and now refuse to replace the cushion for us. They literally stole a cushion from us and now won't replace it unless we pay 250 dollars for a new cushion. i would not reccommend buying from this company. read more

I had my eye on a nightstand from the west elm website for awhile but I did not want to pay the $30.00 shipping. I finally decided to call and order/pay over the phone and pick up. I live over an hour away from the closest west elm so I had my dad pick it up for me (after paying and the money was already out of my account). I called the day before to make sure my dad could pick it up and would not need any proof, they informed me I would not need anything but to call when he was on his way. I did just that and they acted like everything was fine until my dad got there and tried to pick it up. They said he needed my card and he could not get the nightstand without it. My dad had to end up paying for it with his card and they said they would refund me. I was going to be ordering the matching dresser and bed from here within the next few months but I think I will find somewhere else to shop. read more
