On top of the new releases, they regularly cycle through tougher-to-find items and older sealed products that come in through their active community trading. If you prefer hunting for individual cards, their singles inventory is incredibly fun to browse. They have a massive dedicated Pokémon wall that highlights highly sought-after raw singles, rare holos, and graded slabs that immediately catch your eye. For collectors working on master sets or players building competitive decks, they also keep well-organized binders and budget bins that make it easy to dig for specific cards without feeling overwhelmed. What really elevates the experience is the staff working behind the counter. The employees genuinely know their stuff when it comes to the Pokémon market, card condition, and set histories. Decent stock of new comics, but doesn't seem to carry any CCG/TCG cards aside from Magic The Gathering. An entire wall of the store is taken by the extensive selection of Graphic Novels. Sells comics in bunches/sets if you are looking to start a collection. Store also stocks a half wall of toys towards the back and collectable figurines around the register area in the front. Clean, well lit, and organized. Literally, the store is stocked from bottom to top. Whitehall Mall is more of a shopping center then a mall, with most of the stores having external entrances, Comicmasters is located in the small indoor "mall" portion. The indoor portion of the mall was rather dimly lit during our evening visit.

New releases, with variant covers ( at no extra cost ) retro and vintage comics that were in decent shape. I was extremely impressed with the customer service skills. There was a gentleman in there when I was there, that had an intellectual disability and the employee was very good with him and patient. It was refreshing to have someone that knew what they were talking about. can't wait to return.

JC Comics is located in a complex with a pawn ship, martial arts training center, and Italian…read morerestaurant. This is not the largest comic shop, but they make the most of the space available. Good selection of longboxes in easy to pull out drawers, which was unique. Selection of graphic novels, collectables, and Pop Vinyl was also good. Limited selection of wallbooks. Large selection of new pull comic books, one of the best in the area. JC Comics is better than your average New Jersey comic shop stock wise. Staff member was helpful when you needed it. I can understand why some people might miss this shop, as you have to deal with a busy highway to access the complex. JC Comics should not be missed and is a solid shop.

I popped in JC Comics while passing through the area on a busy Sunday afternoon. It was certainly…read moreeasy to get to (right off the main highway), tucked between a few other businesses in the same building. The first thing that caught my attention was their enormous selection of new issues. An entire wall was lined with plenty of recent issues, plus some from the past few months. A decent-sized back issue section was scattered around the rest of the store in various bins. A large portion of those bins was inaccessible because one employee was using the tops as a surface to price other books. I really don't like when comic shops do that. It prevents customers from buying the books (and it could damage the books underneath). Apart from that, the back issues were priced slightly above, or even way above, market value, which kept me from making any big purchases. Though there was a 50¢ bin, but most of those were unbagged trash comics. This place is certainly not a bad place for new releases, but for back issues I'd probably go somewhere else.

Mike the owner is very accommodating and it very fair to sellers when making offers to buy their books. (Often explaining how much they would be resold for an makes a reasonable offer based on that price). Mike and Jackie have excellent knowledge about Comics, Toys and Funco Pops and serious collectors shop there weekly because of them. I'm at a total loss for why there are some bad reviews here, Yes they have a sign that they are always buying, but you are best calling ahead and asking when the owner is in (which is almost all the days). As he is the one that will make the best offer and he really knows what sells well and doesn't. (Avoid Sundays and Mondays if you are there to sell your collection). Word to the wise, when selling a collection, it is always best to call ahead, see when the best time to visit is and see if they are interested in your collection. If they are, this is a great place to deal with as you won't get robbed. Naturally they are a business and need to stay profitable and need to buy at a rate that allows them to mark it up, but you aren't going to walk in with a rare comic that is worth $500 and walk out with 20 dollars, I've seen Mike buy and he is very honest. (Sometimes that means that he has to refuse to buy items that he can't sell, and other times people walk out with much more than expected. A reviewer complained about parking during a snow storm. My feeling is that the person with the car parking problem wasn't even dealing with the people who own the comic shop, probably from another business or an irate person who is a customer of the vacuum shop. Another reviewer said that they didn't feel comfortable there and I find this hard to fathom, I've always felt comfortable there and noticed that they treat their regular customers like family, often knowing about them, their jobs and families and remembering to ask them about things that they have shared about their lives (Changing Jobs, Children's health, Weddings, loss of family members, etc.).

I only ever stopped into Main Street Comics once while passing through the area. I was certainly…read moreimpressed with how clean and organized the store was, along with their overall collection of back-issue books. So, I spent some time going through most of their bins. Unfortunately, the condition of those back-issue books rarely reflects the significantly higher prices they charge. As an avid comic collector and seller myself, I'm well aware of market value. And their prices are well -above- market value. Keep in mind, this is only regarding their back issues. The new release section had standard new-release pricing and was well stocked. So if I ever decide to visit again, it will only be for the new releases and nothing else.

And believe me, it…read moretook me a while hunting for the next perfect comic shop when my old one had done such an amazing job over the years. Unbelievable, but there are a lot of comic shops around that are just not professionally run (I'll just leave it at that) Dewey's is definitely a solidly run comic shop. I had been to them a few times in their old location, but parking was horrible over there so I didn't go often. Their new location in Dover actually has great parking so it is easy getting there. At first, the professionalism of the store sold me on making it my regular store. But as I kept going back, i realized just how amazing the staff is there. They know their comic stuff, and are really friendly. I found out after I had praised John (the main counter staff) to a friend that he has been there for many years and is a big part of the store's appeal... I can definitely see that as he's been nothing but amazing to me.. When I set up my pull list in the beginning, I mentioned that in addition to my main books could he throw anything Captain Cold related in. Yes, i know it was a vague request that couldn't be "programmed" easily, but I figured I'd mention it. And I've been delighted to find non-Flash books with Captain Cold showing up in my box. That was impressive on quite a few levels. I joined Dewey's for the professionalism, but am staying because of the friendliness and amazing attention to small details... highly recommended!
