Just got a new air conditioner from these guys. I called several companies to get a few quotes and one guy who didn't even show up for his appointment! We were really impressed by the guy who came out. He looked at our unit and the way things were set up and talked to us about it. He told us that the unit we had was overkill since our house was zoned. He could have just given us quotes for the same type of unit and made more money, but he was very honest and informative. The bid was very reasonable and this company offers zero percent financing for 12 months which was very handy. The guy who came out to install was very friendly and got right down to business. I think he was in and out in about 3 hours. There's nothing worse than having your a/c stop working and then finding out that you have to spend thousands of dollars to get a new one. I've used A Climate Services twice to install new HVAC systems in two different homes, most recently last year to install a high efficiency furnace, A/C and electronic air cleaner to take full advantage of the 2009 tax credit. We chose American Standard because A Climate Services is a factory authorized dealer/service for that brand. We got proposals on Trane and Carrier as well, but quotes over 5 figures really raised our eyebrows. As they say, it is not the equipment you buy but the way the system is designed and installed. The air conditioner we purchased from A Climate Services wasnt working correctly and was shutting itself off after a few minutes and making loud noises. I called A Climate right away and asked them to come out and take a look at it as soon as as they could because we are in the process of moving and our home is for sale. After I explained our situation and told them our home was for sale I was told they would call me within a few hours and see what they could do. Just like they told me they did call back and I spoke to Art and explained the situation he told me he would be there in the next few hours. He did arrive at our home like he said and found the wires were shorted out due to mice getting in the AC unit and the condenser was bad as well. He replaced the wires and condenser under warranty and only charged us for labor, which he finsihed in under an hour. We just bought our first house, which had the original AC and furnace from the 70's. Our first goal was to replace both of these and after hearing a great recommendation from a family member A Climate was my first call. We got bids from several different HVAC companies and A Climate easily had the best price. Art, who gave me my bid, was incredibly honest and made sure to give me plenty of information about what I really needed and why going with a larger or fancier unit would have been a waste of money. Art at A Climate came out at 10:00 pm when our furnace failed. He stayed over 2 hours getting the blower going again and replacing a thermostat that also failed. When the gas valve also stopped working, we decided a new furnace would be the best approach. Art left 4 space heaters to ensure that our home stayed warm and that the plumbing would be safe from freezing temperatures. 2 days later he returned and installed a new furnace. I called because my air conditioning unit was running, but no air was coming through the vents. I left a detailed voicemail and within 10 minutes I received a call back. The individual on the other end apologized, saying that they don't service homes where I live (Roselle, IL). However, he proceeded to walk me through what the possible problems were. He pointed out a frozen line and a dirty air filter (both of which were correct). He then gave me input as to how to fix the issue myself. My home is now back in working condition thanks to their knowledgeable advice. Needless to say, the service was impeccable considering I wasn't a paying customer. This company continues to excel in service and installation of HVAC. I used them 29 years ago, so that is how long my TRANE high efficiency furnace lasted until this winter took its toll on the poor old thing. Art Jones came out to my house without delay, diagnosed the need and arranged for the installation of a new HVAC system. I highly recommend A Climate! We called them during the long streak of high heat and humidity. At first our air conditioner couldn't keep up and then it just quit altogether. I called in the morning and Art came out around noon and quoted us on for a new unit (we had already decided we didn't want to sink more money into our old unit) and offered all the options for replacement. I had previously contacted other companies who had never gotten back to me with quotes or didn't communicate well about the installation schedule. Some I didn't hear from at all! Art wrote up the quote right in my kitchen and went over it with me and committed to an installation timeline. My unit was available sooner and they were able to install it ahead of schedule. I just had these guys install a new American Standard furnace and A/C in my house replacing 20 year old units. I was very impressed by the quote that AJ prepared for me. He recommended the best systems for our house, NOT the most expensive system which is a very refreshing change from other contractors I've dealt with. The system was installed in about four hours and they did a very good job cleaning up after themselves. The installer has been doing this for 20+ years and did a quality job. I had 4 estimates to choose from. Art told me he likes to be your last estimate because you will pick him when you compare him to the rest. He was right. A neighbor recommended him and I am so glad I called. He did the research before he came and already knew my square footage and recommended the a/c and furnace based on that. My furnace was 18 years old and I needed some service on the unit. The first repair man from ARS wanted to charge me $600 to repair the unit. I asked what it would cost to replace the unite because $600 is a lot to repair. His response was I have no idea. A repair man that has no idea how much it would cost to replace a system. Never use ARS again. I should have checked the better business bureau. I decided to replace the unit. I called two credible companies by looking at yelp and other social networking applications for recommendations. Once of the companies clearly was the best. A Climate Services in Warrenville. The owner/salesman Art was knowledgeable and professional. Art spent two hours at my home measuring and examining my heating system. He asked detailed questions on the performance of my old system and how I used it. He did not try and sell me the top of the line unit or model. He suggested a system that was tailored to my needs at a great price. I was most impressed with the installation. The installer was equally as professional as art. He explained the installation process and his needs for access to the old system. The installation was completed in a half day. It was obvious the installer was concerned about installing the unit the right way. He took prided in doing a good job. He cleaned up and gave a thorough overview of the unit and how to change filters and what to do if service is needed. Had A Climate out to replace the original furnace and air conditioning at my new house. They came out and were very professional. They told me what I needed at the least and the benefits of some of the other models. No pressure to buy the most expensive units. I opted to use the financing and they were get in getting that through to cover the full amount of the job. The work was completed the next week and they did a great job. He let me clean the space where the old furnace was and warned me when he was going to do the soldering so I could go upstairs with my dog. The work that was was going to excellent. Art came out, measured our area, was detailed in his estimation of what we need for a furnace and air conditioner combination. Our system was almost 20 years old and we could no longer get parts for it. A Climate Services gave us a good pricing, and great service. My experience with A Climate Services is very similar to the other reviews. In 2008 we wanted to replace the old furnace that came with the house when we bought it, and we wanted to install air conditioning at the same time. The man who helped us was really informative and explained why the furnace we had was way too big for our home and was causing our extreme temperature issues. He sold us a much smaller unit and installed AC for an extremely reasonable price, far less than we'd anticipated spending. The new, smaller unit solved all the heating issues we'd been having, and our house is vastly more comfortable. We've had them out to do repairs (mostly because I'm a knucklehead and don't always do a good job with my routine maintenance), and they've been great about using our warranty to save us money. They're always really informative (I always learn something new), friendly and quick. They just came out again yesterday for our AC, and we had the same great service. read more

Really can't say enough good things about Art and crew at A Climate Services. Several years ago we had issues with our 20 year old furnace that was of a make and model that they don't carry or service. I called several other vendors and no one would offer any assistance except to say we need to buy a new one... When I called A Climate, Art spent almost an hour on the phone with me offering troubleshooting tips to try and get it working. Eventually we determined that it really was dead and they came out and installed a new furnace working with us all along the way to fill the need while staying in our budget. More recently we had an issue with our AC unit (leak left us with almost zero refrigerant) and Art was onsite the day I called and had it repaired and refilled before lunch!
