I would much rather go to the smaller local guy instead of the big-box/big overhead/big mark-up guys, so reached out to Seminole Pool Supply, and gave my current motor and pump configuration to Alexis, who advised that they had a matching, rebuilt 1.5 hp pump on-hand for $115. She also told me that they do free bench testing if I were to bring in my old motor, and if it was salvageable then they would rebuild it for $65. Both prices sounded more than fair to me - with new motors running in excess of $350+ - so I yanked my old motor, and drove the 35 miles to Sanford. Totally worth it the effort, as it turns out... Upon arrival, I was greeted by Alexis and her team immediately got to work on the tear-down. But first, a side note about Alexis's eyes. Alexis has eyes of the most amazing blue. And those blue eyes, up close, are a celestial phenomenon: Nebulae as seen through telescopes; the light of unnamed stars diffused through dusts and elements and endlessness. Layers of light. Blue eyes that are like starlight. Sorry for the segue.. Back to the review! The investigation of my pool pump motor revealed that it was seized (I wasn't surprised), and that the motor was beyond economic repair. Bummer, right? Now the cool, customer-oriented part and why I'd MUCH rather go to the local folks: Alexis said that she was mistaken, and that they only had a rebuilt 2.0 hp motor, with no 1.5 hp motors in stock. I internally prepped myself for the inevitable song and dance about the impending up-charge... But Alexis and Seminole Pool Supply would honor the price quoted over the phone. Done deal! Their tech - a tall, good looking (no homo!) dude named Kevin - brought me my new (to me) motor, and passed along some sage advice on connecting it to power. Alexis took my money, and sent me on my way. I got home, connected the power, and everything was all good! My neighbors will like me again without the 100 decibel scream of my old pool pump, my pool can go back into service, and I can crack a beer and look back with pride on a job well done... Thank you, Seminole Pool Supply! *PRO TIP* - TURN ONTO SIDE-STREET LIKE AS IF YOU WERE GOING TO THE CHECKERS RESTAURANT, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE THE TOOL-BOX CHUCKLE HEAD THAT ENDS UP PARKING IN THEIR FRONT YARD... like me. When we contacted the company, they denied responsibility and told us to file a warranty claim with our pool builder instead. This company is 100% responsible for the damage to our pool. The owner, Jason, was extremely disrespectful and dismissive throughout the entire situation. Looking back, I should have trusted the negative reviews I saw before booking with them instead of brushing them off. One of their pool technicians came out on Monday to inspect our filter. According to Jason, the filter was inspected but not cleaned or serviced. He also stated that at the time of inspection, there were no signs of leaking or damage after the technician left. The very next day, we noticed a leak coming from the filter area. When we contacted Jason about it, instead of taking any accountability or even considering that something may have happened during the visit, he immediately claimed the unit was "old and broken" and needed to be completely replaced for $1,700. How does that make any sense? One day the filter supposedly shows no signs of leaking or damage, and immediately after their technician visits, it suddenly becomes "broken" and needs a costly replacement? Jason completely disregarded the obvious concern that something may have happened during or after the inspection. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect from the owner alone is enough for me to never use this company again. I would strongly recommend others do their research and proceed with caution before hiring Blissful Waters Pool Company.

Jason and James are professional, on-time, and communicative. For the first time in my time in Orlando, I don't have any pool worries! Pricing is quite reasonable for the services provided, but Blissful Waters goes beyond providing the service requested and makes excellent suggestions to improve how my pool is maintained. Living in such a hot climate, I am well familiar with the weekly need to add water to our pool. Even before I had engaged Blissful Waters, Jason suggested that I get a hose bib timer so that his team can take care of adding water each week. I did not know that hose bib timers existed or that they were so affordable. Adding water to my pool is one less thing I need to remember to do, because Blissful Waters takes care of it for me. Each week, I receive via email an excellent summary of the services performed, including a photo of the pool. If I have questions, Jason is just a text away. We had Doc Dean Pools for years. Issues are never their problem no matter what it is. For weeks we've had a yellowing green pool and was assured that our pool would be looking perfect for our backyard party. This is not safe for anyone to swim in! Again, Not their fault!!! It still was not looking clean at all after two weeks!!! We actually had to move our party to an another venue!!! This was not their problem again, and again. Now 3 weeks with an unsafe green pool Their son said it's not their fault and was rude and condescending. Then It still wasn't their fault! He actually said to me " NO, This is the perfect time to have this conversation" I said no not right now because I'm upset about how you are talking to me and that my pool is still yellow after 3 weeks. Today I had the pleasure of interacting with the owner, who parked his company van in a way that completely blocked the view of oncoming traffic for anyone trying to exit the community. The car ahead of me struggled to get out, so I rolled my window down and let him know he was blocking visibility at an actual intersection. His response? "What do you want me to do?" I suggested the obvious: pull up a little so people can see. He said he couldn't because it would block the guest lane. I suggested pulling to the other side. His response? That would block the resident lane. Here's the fun part: there was no one in either lane and still about 100 feet of empty space in every direction. But apparently, basic spatial awareness and public safety were too much to ask. So instead, the owner of this company chose to block an intersection, argue about it, and refuse to move--despite being told it was dangerous. I still couldn't see oncoming traffic, and when I finally made a left turn, I almost got T-boned. If this is how this man handles a simple, common-sense situation--being made aware that he's creating a legitimate safety hazard--I can't imagine trusting him with heavy equipment, construction, or something as basic as pool maintenance. I wouldn't trust him to dig a hole in my backyard, let alone manage a pool, even if he were the last option on Earth. Unprofessional, inconsiderate, and wildly irresponsible. Hard pass.
