So I decide to run to Sweet Magnolia to replace a candle that had recently burnt out completely when, lo and behold!, there is the most gorgeous pair of gold-leafed wall sconces hanging right before my eyes! This is why I love Sweet Magnolia - you can find such elegant pieces here when you least expect it. I also appreciate that their prices don't put a huge dent in your wallet. $58 for the pair? I'll take them! The store also carries the greatest soy candles ever by Aquiesse which last a rather long time and come in several delightful fragrances. They also carry an array of other home goods - Forte teas, place settings, bath and body products, stationery, baby gifts, and jewelry. Definitely a great little shop for finding last minute gifts or a treat for yourself. I've seen similar items at other stores like Anthropologie for twice the price, so why not patronize a local entrepreneur instead?

This shop offers an eclectic bunch of artistic gifts, crystal stones, jewelry (lots of bracelets), and other knick knacks that you probably don't need but can easily be coaxed into buying. The shop is small and likely gets stuffy when it's busy, but we visited during the winter afternoon lull. Not many others were out, so it was easy to browse. My mom left with a bag full of stuff for other family members and her friends, so I'd say it was a successful visit. I'll go back when trying to find her a Mother's Day or Birthday gift later this year!

The shop's reemergence is still so fresh that the awning and signage haven't been placed just yet, but it's definitely worth a stop. Yes, they have lots of rustic, country home decor and gift items. That's their thing. There's a big fall-themed section with loads of stuffed pumpkins for display, among other autumn-related goods. But they also offer a cute jewelry, clothes, and consignment (all sales final) section. I couldn't resist purchasing a versatile clunky bracelet, and my mom treated herself to pre-birthday earrings and a bracelet that she tried on, loved, and forgot was on her arm until she walked up to the register! For the clothes, they're contemplating creating a dressing room area in a side corner. As of now, you can still try them on via their restroom in the back, which has a full-length mirror. Grabbed a vest off the rack, and went inside... greeted cheerfully by staff. Asked if I wanted to try on vest, so I did. Was surprisingly offered to be shown like 3 different ways to wear it. I was in a hurry so I didn't really get to look around. Traffic was steady with people constantly coming in. Staff were very polite, helpful and engaging.
