While a good number of vendors had what I was looking for, all -- yes all! -- were priced way too high (in my opinion.) We took a ride to Mullica Hill, NJ. First stop, Yellow Garage Antiques. I was poking around, not looking for anything in particular. I spotted a booth with fabulous clothing and well-priced fur jackets. I vacillated. Not over whether to buy, but which one to buy: the mink or racoon? (I bought the mink; less bulky.) The booth vendor who works at the store, maybe even owns it, was lovely. I like this shop. Prices are set by each seller: some reasonable, some sort of high. I saw wonderful shelves and mirrors (Tramp art, one mirror made from large spools), interesting gadgets, pottery -- the things you find at antique malls. Mullica Hill is a cute little town with Victorian homes and a few antique shops. Less than an hour from where I live in PA, it was a great day trip.

The folks who own, run and are employed in the shop are absolutely the best. So welcoming and friendly. They often have special little events for different holidays. I wasn't in the market for anything, but I know what things cost. Prices here are commensurate with other antique malls. A couple of exceptions: some booths are selling record albums for way too much money, records you might find for a dollar in Goodwill. Conversely, there's an enamel top table, likely from the 1940s, priced at $50. That's a steal! (I know; I bought one years ago on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.) If that's not cheap enough, the table comes with four chairs! Old Mill has two floors with the usual array of stuff. The women tending shop are friendly and helpful. And if you come on a hot day, you'll be happy that the store is nicely air conditioned!
