Our home flooded in Harvey, and while I thought I might be able to save the old a/c system, it just wasn't meant to be. With extensive mold issues, the house was pretty much a total gut-job, including the questionable, existing duct-work. I had FIVE companies come out, evaluate, and bid on the job to replace the entire system (two of everything and new ducts). Adam at A/C Tex won the job. He was the only one that clearly showed how knowledgeable he was about it all. Others told me certain things couldn't be done, but Adam made all of those requests happen. Not only did he do everything I wanted and needed done, but he went above and beyond by doing things I didn't even know I needed. He re-routed ducts and put in registers and returns where the airflow would be better than the existing routes. At the end of it all, my house is SO COOL. I keep having to turn the thermostat UP! And my electric bill actually makes me giggle a little every month. It used to be close to $500 in the summer and the highest it's been this summer was $160. I have a 2 story, 2,200 square foot house built in 1978! That new system makes all the difference. Another thing he did to go above and beyond was to turn in all of the warranty info for me to the a/c system company. Who does that?!?!? When you live in Houston, Texas, you simply MUST have a quality a/c, installed by reputable and trustworthy folks that aren't going anywhere. Adam and Nick came to check one of our 3 A/C units. They were able to accommodate me and gave me a notification when they're on their way as I requested. They did some work on the unit with the issue. This was through a home warranty and they explained to me coverage and what to expect in the future with my coverage so I am not surprised. I appreciate their honesty and I think they did a great job. I'm quite surprised about these negative comments here because I have a different experience. About 4 years ago I had my home that I live in, completely redone! Great service then with replacing all ducts, vents, furnace and condenser. They responded in a fast, courteous, clean and professional manner. About 4 months ago the unit in my rental home went out. I called them back out again on my rental unit replacement.
