There was over 150 boxes and a decent number of furniture pieces. 3 dudes were fast and respectful, keeping our client happy and moving fast and yet very careful. As a professional mover I can definitely say that these guys worth every penny that they charge, so do not hesitate to call them if you need movers in Houston area. The 1st and most important part is- no hidden fees. Upstairs, Refrigerators, Safes, etc, they never hit with an additional fee of any kind. I did agree, on a couple occasions, to pay a gas charge. But the circumstances were still all too kind on their part. I had them move from my house to my office, to a storage and back to another house. It was ridiculous on my part, and I agreed to an additional $40.00 gas. They had a 22 ft truck, so they still lost money. If I would have known that then I would have given them even more. (oops.) I've always been allowed to speak directly to the owner to arrange the move. I also always request Leo on every move. Furthermore, they have never broken a single item. NOthing has ever come up missing. When I had them do a company move, changing offices, I had to request a copy of their insurance and they provided it, no problem. On personal moves, They put together the beds, the tv stands and entertainment centers beneath the big screens. They don't put together the electronic part or hang the televisions, etc. Bonus: I don't have to unpack dressers, file cabinets, etc. They use giant saran wrap and wrap it around everything, so it will stay closed. So I use less boxes. Sometimes I ask for 3 movers at a time, sometimes 2. Just depends. Small variance in price. On the big jobs it's more cost efficient. They won't pack anything. And since you're charged by the hour, do realize if you are packing and they are waiting, it is on the clock. I learned that on my 1st move. It was a "shazaaam" moment for me. Besides the cheapest, they are the best too. No frills, but an honest move that will exceed your expectations.

In the end, I was happy to go with Pinpoint Movers anyway because they are family owned. I opted for a 3 person team. They moved quickly and the gentlemen that came to move my things were so kind. I was impressed with how they communicated with me. They gave me a one hour timeframe of when to expect them but called me at the start of that timeframe to let me know how many minutes away they were which was helpful because I was able to run a quick errand since I knew when they were arriving. They moved fast and efficiently. Very impressive. It was hard work as I moved to a third story unit with no elevator. In the end I had a couple of small cosmetic nicks to an end table and a nick on my doorframe, but all in all, it was a successful move in my book. I felt the pricing was fair for the service I received. They required two hour minimum and had a service charge I felt was very fair. I would use them again.

To make matters worse, I discovered that several items were broken or damaged during the move. I strongly advise against using Leo's for moving, particularly if you have a piano. We hired them…read morelast June for a short, 25-minute move from Sugar Land to Missouri City. Despite moving only a one-bedroom equivalent --with all items prepped and no heavy furniture other than a glass table and three bookcases (we left everything else to the new owner) --the job was significantly padded. I was quoted a 'conservative' 4 hours but was charged for 5. When I complained that the pace was unreasonable for such a small load, the company refused to budge. The most upsetting part was the many scratches surface damege to our baby grand piano I found later. (The piano move was charged separately.) It was in like-new condition, but Leo's failed to cover it completly with blankets, with part of lacquer finish in direct contact with shrink wrap. It is now showing some lacquer surfaces are damaged. I later learned they handle high-volume piano moves for local universities, which explains their 'quantity over quality' approach. Leo's told me they were specialized in moving pianos. That was the main reason I used them, but got burned. If you value your instruments, do not use Leo's. Call a local piano store and hire a dedicated professional instead.

This is the policy they always have per the rep that I spoke to. I have NO reason to lie about this. Every mover I talk to had availability but not the right price. I did NOT call too late to book movers. Also, I just saw this reply as the owner waited 3-4 months later to sneak a dishonest reply. I dodged a bullet not working with this company. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I just called for a quote. I felt that the quote was reasonable for 3 movers. Unfortunately, the company was simply inflexible about the move time. They refused to accommodate a 2 hour window. I live in an apartment and we have to reserve the freight elevator. We can only book it for 2 hours. 150 movers will do 8am-10am moves or 11-3p. They will not do 2 hour increments after 10am which obviously would not work for me. It is a shame because. Most people moving from apartments, need to book a freight elevator. The person that I spoke to was courteous and professional. I just wish the company was more collaborative. Ah well, there are other companies.

When they arrived, they got straight to work. We were surprised by how fast they were able to move everything! They each were professional, polite and efficient. We have a tight spiral staircase in our new house, which is a pain to get furniture up. They kindly moved a whole office up the stairs without hesitation or complaints! We appreciated this because we know how much of a hassle it is to move up those stairs. They also were very careful with our items, they wrapped all the items that needed wrapping and carefully loaded and unloaded our stuff. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They were able to move 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office and a kitchen in 3 hours (including a 20min drive to our new house). We were impressed by how quickly they got this done! The pricing is extremely reasonable. I feel that the quality of service was worth even more than they charged! A quote was given, but then on the day of the move…read moreafter being loaded revised up by 1000$ because their equipment wasn't suddenly available and had to be rented from budget. When confronted about our damaged furniture, we were told that was our fault. Will never use again. They are not answering text or voice messages since we want to file a claim.
