Also, I had initially purchased the at-home-assembly option for this grill offered by HomeDepot.com - they outsource to a third party with a flat fee charged when I bought the grill. However, this third party was unresponsive, so 3 phone calls later, I cancelled that portion of the purchase. Home Depot gave me no hassle in refunding that fee immediately back on my credit card, and they asked me for feedback on that third party. They promised a two-person crew but only sent one installer, which immediately caused delays and quality issues. The installer failed to complete the job, left components unfinished, and improperly installed hardware to the point that several decorative corner covers cannot even be installed correctly. There are also cosmetic damages and signs of rushed/improper assembly. I was initially willing to overlook some of the cosmetic damage because the company acknowledged the issues and promised they would return to finish and correct the work. Unfortunately, after repeated follow-ups, they completely ghosted me and stopped responding. The pergola functions, but the installation quality is unacceptable for a project of this cost and complexity. I now have to hire another professional to correct and finish their work. I would strongly recommend hiring a company with actual experience installing louvered pergolas and outdoor structures, not just general assembly services. Most importantly, don't trust TJ, he'll say anything to get your money.

See below for the instances I used his services. Last instance is the encounter that had me questioning my own judgment and made me realize that I put our lives in danger. My move: He and one other guy moved only boxes -- no heavy furniture -- and ran the clock the entire time. Marketplace dresser: I called ahead for a flat price to avoid the time-wasting. He showed up an hour late because he went to the wrong address (his own mistake), then threw a tantrum and tried to reschedule -- while the seller was waiting. After four hours of yelling and blaming everyone but himself, he finally delivered it. The last straw (glass tabletop): This is the most alarming incident. I hired him to pick up a large glass tabletop and deliver it to the second floor of a home. I had texted him both the dimensions and the stair detail in advance.
