He brought drugs in, snuck in hookers and was disrespectful to everyone He came and go as he pleased since they were making money off him. They begged for him to stay. But for clients that paid out of pocket would mess up once and automatically get 86'd .I was paying 4500 a month out of my own pocket. They could care less about me. Mind you I was a perfect client actually trying to get clean. I've witnessed counselors give narcotics to clients. The owner is STILL on and off meth. Seemed like they just tried to save money every chance they had. For example the food was not good. They want you to feel like you need them to stay clean. They knew about vivitrol and never informed me about it. Vivitrol is what got me clean.

We had the pleasure of working with YI for our son's therapy--once, around when our son was 6…read moremonths, and then a bit more than a year later (we had moved, and SARC assigned us to another agency, which we eventually went back to YI). The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.

This is the only therapist that helped me through child hood stress and trauma and used a body technique called "Energy Therapy" which were body tapping techniques and visualizing the actual traumatizing situation to over come it. He can't remove a memory but he can lessen the feeling attached to the memory so that it is not so painful or so it doesn't get in the way of your day to day life. Dr. Horton helped me in conjunction with a psychiatrist with my mental health. I seemed to have gotten increasingly better and better with the therapy and medications. He helped me to have a better understanding of my fathers death and mom mothers remarriage to my step dad. He discussed with me numerous family problems and situations since I was raised in a blended dysfunctional family. We did a lot of talk therapy as well as the tapping on the meridians in the body which I responded well to. My anxiety and depression are far better then they were prior to therapy with Dr. Horton.

One in particular for a year and a 1/2 before I quit thinking to myself why am I going to this license therapist of 30 something years and all he ever does is tell my husband to love your wife he doesn't give us any tools nothing. I could go out to coffee with my girlfriends vent to them for free. Most Counselors are just glorified over paid listeners. Not this amazing intern Arima Williams on her 3rd counseling session she was able to help me to come to a revelation that made me cry!!!
