Decent doctor but office staff is terrible. They dropped the ball multiple times with referrals. They are very rude and unwilling to help.

My father in law and gone to dr Cochran for years and recommended him to my husband when he started having health issues and needed a primary dr. Dr Cochran is thorough and listens to his patients. He helped my husband get the diagnosis he needed and the office processed the referral quickly to get him help. My husband is healthy today due to this doctor! read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for new GP. After looking at lots reviews for lots of doctors I went with Dr. Cochran's office. I was aware of the negative reviews and don't know about their experience but having been seen by about about 15 doctors over the past two years, all new to me, I think I have an idea of good care and that you receive from big impersonal facilities. As for me from my first call to my first visit everything was great. The staff was professional and pleasant. Within minutes of completing the paperwork I was in an exam room and minutes later the nurse completed her part. I only waited about 5 minutes for Cochran. While I had a lot of issues and concerns (general health and a number from a bad accident) that I wanted to discuss I knew Dr Cochran did not have hours to learn about my past 58 years so I was prepared with the important documents for him and specific concerns. He was very attentive to my concerns, explained his observations and I left with a plan that makes sense and exactly what expected. I agree with the remarks in response to the few negative comments. I have nothing but compliments and sure it was my first appointment but having dealt with many doctors I have seen what bad service and care is and I experienced the opposite and would recommend Dr. Cochran. read more

I've been going to Dr. Cochran for years. He's an excellent doctor who has helped me overcome many health related obstacles. He will not only help cure ailments but offer in depth plans to help you avoid getting sick with that illness again by advocating a healthy life style and good diet. Dr. Cochran is awesome. He spends more time in an exam room than any doctor I have ever met. He is detailed and thorough. What I really appreciate is his incredibly calm nature and very soothing to my high anxiety. My fiancée goes to him now and has even referred colleagues at work who live local and the feedback has been positive all around. He is a nice guy and friendly... I was upset when he diagnosed my husband as a diabetic but did not recommend any treatment but medication. He did not discuss: testing blood sugar Exercise Diet A diabetic class or anything else Needless to say we changed doctors. read more

Dr. Cochran is a wonderful doctor. If you are not on anything for chronic conditions, he is a great choice. If you need refills for anything avoid at all costs. The problem is his office. They are lazy and don't care about any of the patients, not just me & my family. Always on their cell phones and ignore you to talk to each other. They refuse to call pharmacies for you, or they give you the run-around saying they called and they haven't done anything. I've switched pharmacies thinking they were the problem, but after 3 different pharmacy companies I realized it's not them it's the office girls. They only take refills as phone calls if they even pick up or they hang up on you. Go to lunch early and come back late. It's a nightmare getting any meds refilled. read more

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Cochran for more than a decade. He has always been accommodating to get us in quickly when we are sick. He always checks our blood pressure even when his assistant has already taken it. He advocates a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness. We highly recommend Dr. Cochran! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Cochran going on 3 maybe 4 years here pretty soon. Great Doc. I look forward to my visits with him. Very personal kind of guy. I've read the other reviews and most are outdated and are not accurate. If you're going to bitch about what is on the TV, may I suggest you aren't there to watch TV, so bring along your Glam Glam magazine, shut up and relax until you're called. Lame complaint. The ceiling tiles are not up to the office per say, but rather the owner of the building and we all know they're not always up to par in the maintenance of their building, but rather getting the rent checks on time. I found it hard to believe the one user on the "wait time". I've never waited more than 10 or 15 mins. And typically, that's a low wait time. Office staff on the phones? Who gives a damn. Outdated review as we do live in a "phone world" today. As a business owner myself, I don't really care about employee's on the phone as long as the work is being done. And you shouldn't either. Coupled with, you don't know why they are on the phone. Could be a serious personal matter or maybe not. Holds no weight with me. The long and the short of it all. I wouldn't never consider another Doc other than Jack Cochran. I feel I got pretty damn lucky 3 going on 4 years ago when I chose his name from the many on the list. And when I changed insurance, my first question to the company was whether or not Dr. Jack Cochran was on their list. And that's my primary question in order for me to change insurance. No Jack. No way. FYI. I was on Blue of CA, and now Health Net. Oh yeah. Almost forgot..............Cash Only? Why not? Checks bounce and Credit Card Fee's suck. I know. But I have no choice in my business as 80% is Credit Cards. I have to do it and it runs me an average of 3500.00 a month in those fees. So......Cash is King. Can't say that I blame him and wish I could do the same. Nothing pisses me off more than petty, whiny reviews and that is what compelled me today to put in my 2 cents. Salute. read more

OMG I read the other post and I was surprised by the remarks also surprised not to see more post for someone that's been in practice in the area for the length of time that he has been rooted. But such is life full of the good, bad and unfortunate :) I have to speak for myself. Being new to the area I initially chose Dr Cochran because he was in walking distance of my place "I'm always conscious of my steps...(truly). He is thorough, professional and with a humble demeanor considerate of my needs. I already had a medical shopping list of things I wanted to put back on the shelf. Yet his assessment added another medication (necessary to avoid medical crisis) and a new diagnosis. However after several consults and I'm sure annoying phone calls from me...today based of our medical repour and his plan of treatment to "keep me living" as he put it, has paid off. I have always been mentally youthful and my body got off track somewhere, now i feel most energetic and when I look in the mirror the reflection I see is most inline with a gracious attitude of a person empowered to participate in my life care plan. Ultimately I accept my health is my responsibility. Over the past 18 months I lost over 30 pounds and cut out several prescriptions (with M.D. approval) I want to also thank Dr Cochran for sharing Naturopathic alternatives. I have seen Dr. Cochran a few times for minor colds etc...and recently needed a referral for a specialist. I have really tried to give him and the staff the benefit of the doubt. However my review of this office is unsatisfactory. The office staff is typically on thier personal cell phones, very slow with returning calls regarding blood work results, referrals to specialists and really demonstrate a "dont care" attitude towards patients. I waited over a week and had to call the office 2 times myself to get referral. Dr. Cochran is a nice man but really doesn't offer any up to date knowledge on treatment. His waiting room has a tv that plays a video loop about nutrition, however it is very out of date. Suggests drinking diet soda and using other artificial ingredients for good health. The technology in Dr. Cochran's office is also out of date. Only cash accepted and they use a typewriter. I will definetly be changing doctors and really kick myself for not doing it sooner. Sorry Dr. Cochran, I really hope your office improves and reviews like these will help motivate positive change for your practice and your existing patients. Good luck! read more

My wife and I have seen Dr. Cochran as our primary care physician for over 10 years now and he is very professional and knowledgeable and listens to you and asks questions rather than jumping to some conclusion in the first two minutes. We're also usually able to get an appointment right away when needed. I recommend him for anyone looking for a good local doctor in Corona and my wife and I plan on continuing to use him as long as we live here. read more

Nice black guy but goof-up galore. But just being nice does not qualify you to be a capable doctor. Never been so disappointed in a Doctor or his clinic my entire life. First he goofs up big time with a completely wrong diagnosis of my symptoms and scared the hack out of me and many needless test which I had to pay the bill. Second time he and his office goofs up when I clearly go for a routine health check up and related labs (covered 100% by Ins) but he makes some notes which confuses the front desk and they bill my insurance as a regular office visit and diagnosis and has been an insurance nightmare and still fighting the office and insurance to correct the claim. And further they dare to threaten me with Collection and ruin my perfectly good 800+ credit. MoFos. Have spend so much time and frustration I never experienced in my life. Have not seen such INCOMPETENT doctor and staff in my life and not to mention the ugly office and that very ugly Water damage / Mold marks on the ceiling that the Cheap bas..... will not shell a hundred bucks to replace the ceiling tiles. I have seen it for the last 6 months, do not know how long it has been like that. They got a earful from me and venting it out here on Yelp. And I am sure I was not a BP patient but they sure made me one today :). So be warned and go here if want complimentary High Blood Pressure with your visits. read more
