We stopped in to see if they had carpet padding- to go under my area rugs. Home Depot also has padding, but theirs is lower quality and will flake apart when I cut it to the size of my rugs. Also, the pad they sell here has a layer on top to keep everything together that the other kind I looked at didn't have. It comes in 6' rolls, so for my larger rugs, I'll have to tape them together- which is common practice in the carpet industry apparently. The guy we talked to was super helpful, and even helped us locate the Big R store (across the street) that we were looking for in the first place. I was very happy that we happened across this store, especially because some other carpet store we tried to go to had closed at 4pm, and we missed them by 15 minutes. I

So imagine getting referred to a mattress place with the best mattresses at amazing prices and the owner/salesperson helps you personally. He recognized how my partner and I communicate, noting our love for each other as part of the selection process, and facilitated finding a mattress that met both our needs, no pressure. While in the store, I watched him answer a call from a woman who had bought from him at a store where he used to work. She couldn't get into her bed because of a leg injury. He had no responsibility for helping a customer of another company despite having worked there, but he arranged to have the bed lowered for her that same weekend, on a Sunday! How many businesses are compassionate, LGBTQ-friendly (and so very likely any-minority-friendly), make their clients feel seen and understood, and deliver that kind of service? We ended up with a latex and memory foam 20-year mattress at half the price of a similar sale-priced Tempur-pedic without all the petroleum products and their off-gassing. And a referral to use his delivery service to help us move. If you need a mattress go see Ken at Sleep Blvd.

I have had approx. 12-14 rugs trimmed and serged over the last 5 years and am happy with the way they turn out (plus it's easy for me to drive, park, and unload rugs there). It helps to be organized so I measure and use masking tape to outline the size (and what to cut off). I appreciate that the rug is also laid out in their shop to go over what is to be done. Due to having fluffy cats (and my Bissell not always cutting it with their hairballs), I will surely have more new rugs trimmed and serged in the future.
