Excellent customer service and very accommodating. This was my Daughter's first Persian Rug and they made the process very easy for her. She was very happy with how involved they were with her decision. The selection was by far the largest I have ever seen. This will be an experience you will not forget. Also kudos to the young man that assisted us. read more

We had 2 rugs cleaned, and purchased 2 rugs, one from their "bargain bin" page. The cleaning was superb -- they look new! The customer service is always excellent, the staff is super knowledgeable, and the rugs are beautiful and high quality. We've looked at a lot of rugs in Denver, but keep coming back to Azari. Oh, and they also repair rugs and it's cool if you just want to look and get an idea of the prices. Don't be afraid to say, I can only spend X amount... what do you have? HIghly highly recommend! read more

We had a fabulous shopping experience at Azari. Mr. Azari, Jay, Melissa, Farine, Dean and Daniel all helped us make a selection of a rug that we are proud to have in our home. Thanks to all of you! read more

Great selection and service! We purchased several beautiful rugs here, years ago. But watch your back, not always on the up and up.

If you need a rug, come to this place!! I spent a bunch of time trying to find something online, but am glad I decided to pick out something in person instead. The quality of rugs was way better than stuff I've found online-- this store had rugs from all over the world. The staff was friendly. They asked questions to figure out what style I liked, and helped me find something within my budget. I live in a small apartment and needed something that would add texture and warmth to my study area, and had fun finding the perfect thing amidst the large stockpile of rugs. The owner has been in business many years, and it shows in the professional operation of the store. Highly recommend! read more

We purchased a Persian Qom while in Bahrain and wanted to hang it on the wall. We had loops put on the rug while in Bahrain but due to the weight it sagged quite a bit when we tried to hang it with a rod. After searching yelp for a place to take our rug we came across Azari Rug Gallery. We made an appointment so the owner could take a look at the rug and discuss the best way to hang it. Jay was very knowledgeable about our rug and told us exactly what the rug dealer in Bahrain told us. He even translated the Arabic writing on the rug for us. It was quite an expensive purchase and we were relived that he told us we got an excellent deal on a high quality rug. He recommended attaching Velcro and wood to have an even hang. It took them about a week to get done and looks beautiful on our wall. We will definitely come here from now on for all our rug needs! read more

Azari Rug Gallery - Antiques Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This store is a Denver treasure over the decades it's been here. They offer an extensive selection of handmade rugs and other decor such as pillows and weaving. You can spend a lot on a carpet you can own for a lifetime or buy a very reasonably priced unique pillow. It's fun to look around and the building is historic with original tin ceiling. Over a number of years, we've purchased two carpets and several pillows. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also repair carpets. read more

From the speedy response to my initial inquiry all the way to the return of my cleaned and repaired rugs, Azari has been terrific! They picked up and cleaned three rugs. One rug needed a repair and the price for that was perfect. The cleaning made everything so bright and fresh. The pick up and delivery staff were fantastic. This company knows what they are doing and have great service. I am so happy! read more

We had Azari clean a Persian rug we have earlier this summer. They did a fabulous job for a fair price! We aren't in the market for more rugs, but if we were, I'd come here to shop. The times we came in to drop off and pick up the rug, I looked around a bit and they have some fabulous looking rugs. A LOT of rugs. The family who owns this business and work here were very friendly and helpful. read more

Today I received my third rug cleaned by Azari Rug Gallery. I am so grateful they were able to "save" my entry rug that was spotted from sippy cup drips of all kinds, outdoor stains, and 2 years of foot traffic including construction workers. The staff and follow up are reassuring and accommodating as well as genuinely joyful and grateful. Rug pickup and delivery happened in less than a week and Evan even changed delivery time at the last minute to meet my impulsive whims. Kudos to this company in every area. read more

Beautiful rugs! We've had one rug for 10 years and recently bought another I found in their website's "bargain bin." It's about 10x13 and had a couple of worn areas that we were okay with because it sits under living room furniture. Still, the owner had his staff work on the worn areas for a few days, and wow! It's as beautiful as ever! Highly recommend this business! read more

We have several oriental rugs in our home. We would not take them anywhere else for cleaning. There is no better place to shop for an oriental rug. One could spend two entire days looking through their inventory. So many to chose from! There will most surely be the perfect one to go with the interior of any room. The gentlemen who helped us were knowledgeable, patient and good listeners. We couldn't have asked for better assistance. Even when I went in to buy a small rug, (2-1/2 ft by 3-1/2 ft) they helped as though I were buying a whole house full of them. I have told friends about this place. It's nice to get a chance to write a review for this excellent dealer of excellent rugs. This makes rug buying as good as it gets! Pam and Cork read more

Found the rug of my dreams at Azari; a modern piece from Afghanistan. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and their selection is filled with rare work. Azari rug was pleasant for every part of my transaction with them. From walking me though the process of the cleaning to keeping the rug in storage until I was ready to pick it up. The owner, Jay, is so charming, knowledgeable, and passionate about each rug and it truly shows I'm their magnificent collection of beautiful rugs so perfectly reserved. Monique, the sakes associate is also so lovely and incredibly patient to with with. I'm saving up for that day when I can afford an incredible Turkish rug of my own, and shop at Azari when that day happens. read more

I just had them clean one small antique rug and one very large vintage rug from the 1930's which is ruined. I will take the rug to another cleaner to see if they can possibly undue the damage that Azari has done but it is highly unlikely. What was once a lovely cream on this large, beautiful rug is now a filthy looking gray. It is really sad. I will try and attach a before and after photograph. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE CLEAN YOUR PRECIOUS RUGS!!!!!! They also took the tags off the big rug showing where it was made and by what family within that village, basically the full history of the rug and didn't give it back to us. They sewed their tags onto the back of both rugs. My husband who is an intellect with no eye for color, design, or anything of that nature picked up the rugs and said, "I didn't notice anything." Well all my neighbors and friends have seen it and are shocked! The rug is destroyed. read more

Add an interior design intern, I've had some crazy experiences working with clients already. The client experience does not necessarily involve the purchasing or fixing of furniture, and that's part of why they use design professionals; let us do the dirty work! Lol. One client of ours have a rug that started to fray pretty quickly, and the manufacturer discontinued it (for the fraying problem.) Unfortunately, this rug couldn't be replaced, and we brought it to Azari for repair. To say that Jay and Tessa went above and beyond to get this repaired to our clients satisfaction is an understatement. It took longer than we expected, but they did more than we asked. I will forever recommend this local shop for any and all rug purchasing and repair/cleaning. They made a very difficult experience into a positive interaction, and I honestly believe the rug looks better now than it did brand new. Thank you for the help. You have a great shop and amazing staff! We will be using you all the time! read more

Wanting appraisals for three carpets I hoped to sell on eBay but having no car or truck to bring them to the shop, I was pleasantly surprised when Jay and Melissa agreed to visit my apartment to conduct the appraisals. They are wonderful, pleasant folks and the appraisals moved along swiftly just as I had hoped, providing me with a sense of market value along with identifying information for each carpet that will greatly improve my chances of selling them at a good price. By the next day I had the formal appraisals in hand. Excellent team and great service! read more

I brought several carpets to Azari to be cleaned and repaired all of the carpets were over 40 years old and had suffered a lot of abuse by my family through the years. They looked like hell. J and Melissa made the experience of selecting and purchasing rugs for our home a pleasure. J was particularly adept at honing in on what we responded to and providing us with a multitude of ones to pick from. His rugs are beautiful and his staff is friendly and enjoyable. Azari knows their rugs! We had an antique (100+ year old) rug repaired here recently, and they did a fantastic job with the repair, plus they cleaned it too! I was hoping it wouldn't take too long to get the rug back, and they had it finished within a week... incredible. Also, they didn't take any shortcuts and actually did a more thorough job with the repair than we had originally discussed, it looks great. They are really friendly, helpful, and very fairly priced. I would highly recommend them! read more

We have been looking for rugs for a specific location in our house for several months but were not finding anything that seemed worth the price being asked. We found Azari rugs on a web search and decided to take a look. We found the owner and staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The owner is very knowledgeable about rugs but not intimidating. There is an amazing selection and we found exactly what we were looking for in a short amount of time. It was a very pleasant experience - we will be returning to the Azari Gallery for all our rug purchases. Thank you! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jay and all the folks at Azari Rug Gallery. I had a family heirloom that was damaged in transport to Denver. The carpet was "warped" and wouldn't lay flat. I was devastated and thought that there was no way that I would be able to have this carpet fixed. The specialists at Azari came to my home and picked the carpet up! They washed and repaired my carpet to with such wonderful results that it honestly looks better than it did before the damage. I have since had all my carpets cleaned by Azari and have had several repairs to older persian carpets. I cannot thank them enough!!!! read more

The rug is not only beautiful but it is of the highest quality, and makes my room! I highly recommend coming to this store and working with this great family of people! read more

Azari Rug Gallery was unexpected ! They said they have over 14,000 rugs in their gallery and it's hard to imagine just selecting one. We had several rugs repaired, cleaned and then they were so kind as to tell us a bit about them since they had belonged to my late mother-in-law and we didn't know a thing about them. The rugs turned out great and the prices were not over the top. I couldn't even tell where they had been repaired! They also had a large selection of pillows and a few antiques scattered around. We will go back again...if only to look and learn a bit more about carpets...amazing!!! read more

I have just picked up a clean and carefully repaired American hooked rug that is one of the many that my grandmother hooked in her home. I have had it cleaned once before, but this time it glows. They cleaned it the "old fashioned way": I believe it was washed in a big tub and dried in the sun. They also repaired it, as it was really showing it's 60 years. The work is guaranteed for life. It looks beautiful. Thank you! read more

I brought in my damaged, moth-ridden rug and they did a wonderful job of cleaning and repairing it.

Bottom line at the top: If you want a beautiful carpet that is a work of art, and want to be treated with royal hospitality as you shop, come to Azari Rug Gallery. I had passed this shop for several years, thinking "This is a Real Rug Store." I never expected to get to see the rugs inside. I was extremely surprised when my husband suggested that that's where we go to get a nice large carpet for our new house. He was surprised as well when we went in-- he hadn't realized it was a source for this kind of carpet. And that we bought a very beautiful carpet here should tell you how splendid both their carpets and their kindness are. My husband Sheeyun told them the dimensions of carpet we were looking for, and they peeled back the enormous carpets on a four-foot pile one by one, helping us to understand what we liked, and a bit of Mr. Azari's expert knowledge about the craft and provenance of the carpets. Then once we'd reached the bottom of the pile, they threw the carpets back, for us to reduce the number of carpets we liked. Then while we were given tea, they threw each rug on the pile back again, removing the ones we preferred, regardless of the sticker price, which I had asked at each step. At the front of the store we had another rug fashion show, narrowing down what we liked best, to the last two. And Mr. Azari made prices on those that resulted in our buying the one we liked best, though it had the highest price tag. It shone from the pile of exquisite rugs like a gem, and now it's ours. At my husband's choice. He is so pleased with an enormous 100 year-old art rug heirloom he had not conceived of. My guess is that the kind and expert people of Azari Rug Gallery can help nearly anyone who loves beauty and would like a floor covering, to find one to delight their hearts. read more

Our new rug (6 X 9) arrived today from Azari Rug Gallery, and we are totally thrilled with it. This is the first time we ever purchased a Persian rug on-line, and we were quite apprehensive. We will gladly buy from Azari again. read more

I had looked all over the south Denver area for a rug that would fit our needs. We love Southwestern decor even though it's not in fashion now, and so hadn't thought of looking here. However, I had looked at literally hundreds of area rugs, and absolutely nothing worked. Also, we are not independently wealthy, and couldn't afford anything expensive. Imagine my total surprise when I found the most beautiful rug I'd seen at the Azari Rug Gallery. Natalia helped me, and she was unfailingly polite, knowledgeable, and, above all, patient. I never felt rushed, and that was very important to me. She never pressured me into a premature decision at all. I made two visits, and had a better idea of what I wanted during the second visit, thanks to the skillful questions Natalia asked about my preferences. Mr. Azari, the owner, knew the history of these rugs, and I realized that I was buying a treasure, not just something to throw on the floor. We looked at over 200 rugs in that one pile, and I found around 10 that I really liked. They worked very, very hard in going through that pile of rugs! They took the rugs into another room, laid them out, and they left me alone to walk around them, look at them from different angles, and gradually narrow the field to 2 of them. I took them home for a day, and once we put them down, it was immediately evident which one was the perfect fit. The colors were vibrant in this gorgeous 80-year-old rug, the design included symbols very similar to those old SW Native American rugs, and we have ended up with the absolutely best choice. Mr. Azari was able to work with us on the price, and we unexpectedly now have a treasure that will be handed down to our children. read more

In 2006 I purchased three rugs from Azari and was very pleased with the prices and selection. Most recently (July, 2012) I decided to trade two of them in and found the staff again to be very knowledgeable and helpful particularly given the unusual size of the runner I needed. I also worked closely with Jay Azari on the trade in and similar to my initial experience, I was very satisfied with his offer for my two rugs. My brother has also purchased from Azari and was happy to do business there. Thank you, Mr. Azari and staff. read more

I had my old Navaho rugs that have been in my family for over 60 years cleaned and repaired by Azari's. The staff took great care to understand the great sentimental value of the rugs and explain their processes to me. The result is two rugs that are well taken care of with no issues at all. The colors were retained perfectly and the repairs were done to preserve authenticity and prevent further damage. I admit to having had some trepidation since this was the first time I have used Azari's, but I now have no qualms whatsoever in giving them my highest recommendation, particularly for a high dollar value item that has immeasurable sentimental value. read more

Has a nice wide variety and selection of rugs. Initially you are greeted in a polite and friendly manner. However, in my experience, the owner lacked integrity and did not follow honest business practices.
