We called MD Plumbing because we had used them for some work on a sump pump a few years ago (when they were Grimes Plumbing) - I remember not being particularly happy with their service, but it seemed like a safe enough bet to call someone we'd already used for an off-hours problem. At least we knew they'd come out, right? Wrong. At 5:30 the guy who answered the emergency line told us that he'd be out in "a couple of hours." By 10pm, there was no sign of him. He hadn't called, and several calls to the emergency line (which is a cell phone number) yielded no answer, even though we left two messages inquiring about when he would arrive. While we understand that the plumber could have been on an emergency call somewhere else, it could have been simple enough for him to call us and let us know he was running late. We understand that emergencies happen, but when we have water dripping through our ceiling light fixture we are certainly going to view that as a pretty urgent situation of our own. So at 10pm we started calling other plumbers. Within an hour and a half, we had a plumber in our house who had driven down from Indianapolis (an hour drive), diagnosing our problem at midnight. And when he left at nearly 2am, it cost us half of what MD quoted us--and the plumber promised to come back on Sunday if the problem hadn't resolved itself. It's now 10:15 am the following day, and we still haven't heard from the first plumber. The level of unprofessionalism shown by this company will not be forgotten, and I will never use them (and will make sure to let everyone I know not to call them either).

Good overall experience…read more We live in a 2 story house and had regular issues with huge temperature variations between the downstairs and upstairs that lead us to call a few HVAC companies and get consults. Our initial idea was that we needed a 2nd system to even it out and many companies made this same recommendation.. naturally that comes with a HUGE price tag. Terrell HVAC had a bit of a different idea after taking the time to take a deep dive at the house. Rob recognized that our vents in the ceiling were located incorrectly within the rooms; on interior walls instead of exterior walls. They recommended we move these vents to the outside walls, increase some piping or something and make a couple of the air returns larger. They said this would increase the airflow and circulation or something and in essence move the air around cooling or heating accordingly?? I think this is right.. no idea, I'm not very knowledgeable in HVAC Despite this being a good chunk of work, it was 1/5th the cost of installing a second unit and should help even out the upstairs and downstairs. After a little research we decided to give it a whirl. 6 months or so later and in the middle of winter, I am very happy to say that during summer and winter that temperature variations that were 8 to 10 degrees are now a couple degrees!! I couldn't be happier that we got this sorted out and didn't have to spend $5k+ as many others recommended. PS... I see the 1 star review (after the fact) and have no idea what that lady is talking about. Look at her other reviews... all 1 star too.

I had looked around in the attic several years ago and recognized some glaring insufficiencies in…read morethe insulation after furnace and AC technicians pointed them out. David was very polite and receptive to my questions and concerns before he inspected the attic. He reiterated the problems I already knew about and estimated the installation 20% lower than several other insulation installers. My wife had researched some of what seemed to be an unrelated roof/gutter problem which I conveyed to the installers when they showed up to do the work. I asked if they minded that I take a look around in the attic after they had finished. They said that they always ask customers to take a look after they finished. The attic looked afterwards as I had hoped it would. Without exaggeration, the condo felt more comfortable before they even left. The next day the temperatures dropped to near zero over (much of the country) and the condo remained comfortable with the furnace/AC air mover running MUCH less. The insulation material was some sort of cellulose material that David assured me was not attractive to insects, avians, or rodents (except possibly squirrels) and was fire-resistant. David told me the name of the stuff, but I forget it.
