Dealing with Auto Mechanics and Body Shop companies has been historically a miserable experience for me and most everyone I know. Never knowing if they are doing the repairs properly and whether or not they are overcharging or taking advantage of you, which is usually the case. For women its even worse. I brought my Car there years ago for an insurance claim on someones recommendation and have also brought it to repair other things over the years (Teenagers!!) I've only had excellent experiences. Brought my car here to get some body work done and they dented my car 3 more times and went through my car compartments, touching things for no reason. Brought it back soo they can fix that for free & they dirtied the inside of my car, scratched my steering wheel and the back of my seats. Only came here because of progressive. Managers Freddy and Mitch are condescending, arrogant and rude and will not admit to wrong doing on a car repair. Had to go back for a repaired they did and I was told " this new problem is not related to work we did on car". I went back and told them to fix it because it was a bad job. They later told me it was something which turned out to be the wrong diagnostic. But they did not admit to their mistake. They are patronizing, offensive and superior in their ways of client service. read more

At first i was going to give them a 5 star review but the more i saw the repaired door, the more things i saw. A driver hit my car while he was going backwards on a parking lot and i had a bump on the drivers side door, so his insurance offered me different body shops and i choose this one. Went to the body shop the next day of the incident (Monday) and they told me that i had to wait 7 more days. On that day, i left my car and had a rental provided by the insurance to cover the days that the repair will took and the same week, 5 days later, the car was ready. The door looked so nice but the insonorization never has been the same, the glue on the letters of the model it doesn't look quite well, the door has also like small holes (i suppose that is from the bubbles, i don't know), the plastic trim below the door has 2 paint stains hard to remove and, the worst and the transmission shift has a huge scratch right on the middle that was never there! The car was brand new bought 3 weeks earlier from the incident. read more

I'm going to preface this by saying that I know nothing about cars. I had body work done here after an accident, and the team was great! They kept me informed and updated about the process the whole time. Then, when there was an issue with the billing and I had to go back, they offered to wash my car for the inconvenience. About a week later, I had an issue with my car's battery and they helped me out with that as well. I tend to be very hesitant about trusting mechanics because I know nothing about cars and it's obvious so they tend to rip me off, but they were transparent about everything, including prices and the process. So I first heard about A Auto Tech in January when I got into a minor accident and my insurance recommended I go here. I paid my deductible, they did a great job and was on my way. I unfortunately got into another accident, this time the damage a lot worse, and my dad told me to just go back here since they did a great job the first time (no matter the cost). Me, being the stubborn daughter that I am, decided to go somewhere else for an estimate and of course they took advantage of the estimate since I'm a young girl going to a body shop alone. I counted my losses and went back to A Auto Tech and spoke with Freddy. Freddy and I looked at my car and the estimate and he immediately saw that they were ripping me off with labor costs, but they were honest about the parts and they were even missing a few parts. We sat down and he gave me a much better price and I was so relieved. He told me the car would be ready by the end of the week. I just picked up the car and I kid you not it looks just like it did the day I left the car dealership. My car is impeccable!!! They even cleaned the outside AND the inside for me. I was in a accident and the person's insurance who was at fault was state farm. they sent me to this mechanic for inspection. Mitch Yngber walked out to the car with me. he refused to look at the vehicle. he said he could tell the bumper was hit and asked him to look at the steering because it was difficult to turn the steering wheel. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the steering wheel while looking at the car from a distance. I asked him to please sit in the car and turn the steering wheel or at least stand there while I turned the steering wheel to include it on the claim. he told me he was busy and didn't have time. I told him I didn't mind waiting. I waited. he eventually came back to me and said he wasn't a mechanic and was just going to include the pictures of the bumper to make the insurance claim.. I asked him politely again. He said no. he gave me his card and I asked him to sign a statement saying he would not look or service the steering so I could send it to the insurance to go somewhere else. he told me, " I will not do anything. I have other customers to attend to. (apparently I wasn't a customer? ) you can have the insurance contact me. " I asked for his whole name to write it down since it wasn't on the card. he told me he would write it because he wanted it spelled correctly and he asked, "Did you even learn to read and write there.. see this is the first name and the last name. last name goes after the first name, sweetie. Do they even educate girls these days? " I told him he'd have to ask my Masters and doctorate full scholarship programs. I asked him to reiterate why he wouldn't make a full inspection. He made a fist with one hand and placed it resting in his other hand. I figured if he punched me no one was around to witness it. I thanked him quickly and ran to my car and left. I can't discourage this place enough especially if you are a woman alone. read more

I have found a favorite body shop! My daughter had an accident recently and decided to use A Auto Tech as they are a State Farm approved facility that warranties their work. Maggie was great to deal with. Very efficient and friendly. As for the repairs, the car looks brand-new. Once the repairs were completed, the outside of the car was detailed. Exceeded my expectations! Mitch's crew did a great repair on my GL450. Didnt go through insurance as it was less than $1K repair. Had three estimates and Mitch was at the mid point but estimated 2 days vs 4 days. It was in and out in less than 30 hours! The repair was better than expected. Also the truck was detailed inside and out which was an added bonus. If I need any future bodybwork, I will definately use A Auto Tech of Kendall. read more

My insurance company referred me to this place following an accident. After taking over two weeks to fix a tail light and damaged back bumper my car was returned to me with tail lights that did not function. Thankfully, someone pointed out the problem as I drove my car at night and I was able to avoid a fatal accident and a ticket. Installing a tail light and not checking their function? Highly unlikely. These people could not figure it out and returned to me a safety hazard. When I returned with the car and confronted them on the issue, Fred, explained to me that they had no one "capable" of fixing the tail lights and that they needed to consult a specialist. An auto tech cannot figure out how to connect tail lights? When I demanded a reimbursement for a rental, he then, suggested I drive my car in the meantime that they contacted a specialist. This man really suggested I drive my car with no tail lights. When I told him this was a safety hazard, he responded, "Oh, true." As they could not get any more despicable, I noticed they scratched a chunk out of my dashboard and tried to mask it with some type of black adhesive.
