The restaurant itself was cold, as the air conditioning was put at a low temperature. Nevertheless, I put on a sweater that I had brought, and looked at the menu that was given to us by the server that seated us. I decided to settle on the fish and chips meal, which included a few different types of fried fish such as shrimp, haddock, and squid, along with a side of fries. I shared this meal with my husband, as it was too much for one person. We had to wait about twenty minutes for our meals to arrive, as there were seven of us dining, and all of the meals needed to be made at once. The restaurant itself was a small place, and seemed a bit rustic in nature. As we were waiting for our meals to arrive, I noticed the decor on the wall was modest yet, fit the theme of the restaurant well. Once our meals arrived, I was a tad surprised at how little we had gotten, considering that the dish was almost thirty dollars. Everything tasted delicious though, and was fresh. Throughout our stay, the service was great, with the server checking in on us frequently, while making sure that we were happy with our experience. Overall, this restaurant had good food however, I felt for the price, and the type of environment that we were in, it wasn't worth what I had expected it to be.

Chicken sandwiches too. Definitely something for everyone, including vegetarian options. The fries are fresh cut and delicious. I ordered the vegetarian-style poutine, which featured a delicious vegetarian gravy. The serving size was huge! Definitely enough to share. My veggie burger was excellent. The server asked about the toppings I wanted, and there were many options. Service was extremely friendly and my food was ready quickly. Prices were very affordable, especially considering the large portion sizes. This location was only a couple of blocks from my hotel. Definitely will return for another meal here.

The menu had a great variety of options, the prices were very reasonable, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the pancake combo with coffee, and my partner had the Canadian omelette. Even though there were several other tables and only one waitress working, we barely waited at all for our food. While writing this review, I noticed quite a few negative reviews, but that wasn't our experience whatsoever. We had a fantastic meal with excellent service from start to finish. It wasn't busy around 10:30 am when we got there. We were greeted and seated right away, given menus and the waitress who took care of us, took our drink order and let us take our time to order. We all ordered the Breakfast Special for $7.99, but varied the order to our liking. I had ordered the special with eggs sunny side up and brown toast, my sister ordered her eggs scrambled with white toast and our friend had over easy eggs, with brown toast. I should have asked for tomato slices instead of home fries, because I am not a fan of potatoes. Nonetheless, the entire breakfast was hot and delicious and my eggs were cooked perfectly; perfect for dunking my toast into them. The coffee and tea we ordered came by a small pot, enough for one person, but enough to have several cups, which was enjoyable instead of having to have the waitress come around and top up our cups. The service was fast, our food came out hot and everything good. Great small town atmosphere, good company. The prices were standard for your diner food, coffee was bottomless. I'd like to come back and try the lunch menu.

This establishment was certainly a good choice. While we did wait 20 minutes or so for a table for 2, the waiting area was comfortable, with clear lines of sight to the television. Once we were seated, we ordered a variety of dishes - Thai/asian callimari (great), chicken wings (okay, not enough meat on them imo) and a chicken quesadilla (very good). Afterwards, we ordered a lava cake (great) and. A pint of beer, both of which were happy hour prices (half price for the cake, and $5 for the pint). The staff was friendly, and it was a good vibe.
