I've been a customer of A&W for two years and that relationship has come to a bitter end. My water well stopped working Sunday morning; I had no running water in my home. I reached out to them via email and they coldly replied that it would be 10-14 days before they could help me. Zero concern or sympathy was shown. I reiterated that I was without water. It didn't phase them. I would somewhat understand if I was a new customer, but for someone who has given them thousands of dollars of business in recent years, you'd think they'd at least show some concern and at least offer to have someone come out to see if it was a simple fix. Nope. 10-14 days. I found another service company that came out within 24 hours. It in fact was a simple fix--a loose connection in a junction box. They had my well back up and running in 30 minutes. My well stopped pumping water early in the morning and I gave a call before 7 and was surprised to have someone answer and schedule an appointment. The crew was out before 9 and quickly diagnosed the main problem but also uncovered two other larger problems that needed urgent repair. They explained everything well and did a high quality job getting us back up and running. A very reasonable cost for the level of effort and speediness of the response! I have been doing business with A&W Water Well since 2009. I have since had them come out for everything from fixing a relay that kept the pump from starting to lowering the pump to adding a 2500 gallon storage tank. I highly recommend them due to their competency as well as their integrity. Recently, I contacted them as I had a small water leak near the tank. Stacy got back to me quickly and asked how urgent it was as both her and Charlie had COVID (thankfully, both have recovered!), so they were a bit short-handed. Later that same week, they were still able to make it out to the house. Ray came out to diagnose the leak and worked diligently to determine the true source of the leak (and confirm the tank itself, installed in 2014, was fine). Ray completed the repairs (it was a hairline crack in the PVC pipe leading to tank, likely caused by the big freeze we had in Feb '21, and even added a faucet to the storage tank for me. Flawless work! I saw where one person left a bad review, and I read it carefully. I do not agree with that review at all. I understand that is their interpretation of what happened, but having worked with Charlie, Stacy, and Ray, these guys are the best! One thing folks do need to understand is that this is not a large company (and that's actually a good thing btw!), so when something like "snovid" happens and 1000's of folks need help, Stacy has to prioritize the service calls and get someone out as fast as they can. Under normal conditions, however, they are quick to get someone out and ALWAYS very effective. And no, Stacy does not always answer the phone, but she ALWAYS gets back to you! She even called me back while they were vacationing in Cooperstown a few years back! Again, if you want experience, competency, and integrity, this is the company you want to do business with for your water well needs. read more

- Super responsive and quick to help. - Charlie was awesome and can not say enough about him. - Only downside was the Parts Markup - Controller and Pump Saver appeared to have about 100%-150% mark up. I would have expected some mark-up, maybe 50% but when the it seems the part mark-up makes up ~50% of the bill??? Today could have been terrible...actually the whole weekend could have been if it wasn't for the amazing Customer Service from A&W Water Well. I was without water and dreading the thought of having to stay in a hotel with a sick baby until Monday. They did not have an appointment available for me but I sent a picture and a video and they were able to give me feedback and a part suggestion in an effort to help. They met me with the part, gave input on installation and I was back with water in an hour!! Any issues I will call them in the future. Thanks for being my hero this weekend. Even though they are super busy due to their quality work and service, Stacy was in communication with me since day 1. Besides replacing the pump pressure valve, they also noticed my water storage tank had a leak. I trust this company 100%. Thank you! A&W Water Well initially installed my well 3 years ago. And did a fantastic job. Since then they have been attentive to any issues I have had. This winter and last was brutal on my pumps. These folks are great! We've had a few minor problems with our well and every time they are extremely responsive, quick and more than fair fair with their prices. My wife found them a year ago while I was out of town and they got the water working again for $25. I'm having more issues now and they are once again treating us greatly. If you need a well installed or just simple maintenance, this is the family business to call! read more

Called the phone number after hours about 7:30pm, a live voice answered started taking my personal info for a call back when one of the techs walked in. I explained my PumpTec box wasn't getting any power and i was with out water. He said you probably have dirty contacts... fire-ants? spider webs?. He explained in 50 words what to do to me, a notorious non-handyman and I was able to get my system up and running in 20 minutes. No $100 service call which is what every one else had quoted me,just a simple fix. I am mailing them a $25 check tonight as an appreciation for their great customer service. These guys are the best. I was sitting here thinking about the places we've used that I should write a review on and was surprised to see no one has written one for A&W! Every time we've had a problem, from a lightning strike to our well going dry, these guys have come out and given quick and honest service to us and our neighbors. During the drought, several of us lost water - our well, which we were told was 700' deep when we bought the house turned out to only be 442' deep. Drilling a new well was not an affordable option so they suggested setting up a tank or two to have water delivered... ah - I need to write another for Chinatown Water next... They helped us with the plumbing from the pipes in the well area to the garage, and with getting the new pump to bring water into the water softener from the tank. Very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I think most of our 50+ neighbors have used A & W at one time or another. Since I don't see their number here, it is 259-1732. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before, but A &W Water Well Service deserves a glowing review. They are honest, kind, prompt, intelligent, and reasonably priced. If I could give them more stars, I would. Something happened that we were not getting water in our house. I was nervous because I wasn't sure what the problem was or how expensive the fix would be. We had purchased a Home Owner's Warranty which included our well, and the Warranty company sent someone out. The company that they sent out told us that we had an electrical surge, and that all of the wiring and the pump had been burned up and needed to be replaced. This repair company also told us that our pressure tank was on it's last leg and that since we needed to replace everything, we should probably replace the pressure tank too. Unfortunately we found out that our Home Warranty wasn't going to cover any of this and that we were looking at a $3,000 bill. We told the company to go ahead and do what they needed because at this point we hadn't had water for 5 days. The repair company started working and a few hours in to the procedure, they told us that they wouldn't be able to complete the job because of this and that. That is when someone got us in to contact with Charlie Ward at A&W Water Well Service. They came out looked at everything, tested a few things, and told us that we needed to replace a part that cost $275.00. About 30 minutes after their arrival, they had us up and running. We asked about our pressure tank, Charlie tested it and said that there was nothing wrong with our pressure tank. I have learned two lessons. If you need any well work done call A&W Water Well Service, and don't pay extra to have your well added to your home warranty. read more

I had my well unexpectedly go dry last week. I called A & W that evening. They came out the the following afternoon and replaced my pump and placed it 40 feet deeper. Everything works great now. The guys were very friendly and hard working in the 100+ degree heat. I couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommended. read more

Called them about 6:30 on a Sunday night after scrambling all day in an attempt to determine what the problem was with my water well. Although I had a general idea, I thought it best to leave such servicing up to the professionals. Much to my surprise, a friendly and helpful lady answered the phone. She arranged to have someone at my house bright and early the following morning (Monday) at 8:30 am. The guys showed up on time and found the problem straight away. Just as I suspected, my issue was electrical. They replaced the damaged components (due to normal wear over 10 years of operation) and did an inspection of the rest of the system. They told me that I would be ok, no need to replace the pump at the bottom of the well. Whew! I was grateful to have dodged that bullet! While they were there I asked for and received quotes for some well-related work that I have planned for the house in the future. The guys were helpful and knowledgeable. Our well pump stopped working this morning. We found A&W Water Well here on yelped and decided to give them a try. Fortunately, it was nothing series with the pump. A fire ant stopped the connection.
