Chicken was over cooked, or spent too much time under a heat lamp or something similar, coleslaw was dry, and I think KFC usually had the best coleslaw, and the soda was mostly carbonated water. We stopped in for a couple of Strawberry Cheesecake sundaes. It was good; spoonfuls of ice cream and strawberry goodness. But I was tired of eating it. Sugar overload from last week's birthday party sweets. I barely finished mine, and threw out the other one. The lobby could've used a once-over with a broom and a sponge. The drink area; the same with a clean-up. This is the only KFC/A&W where some family members don't get sick after eating the food...I'm sure we'll be back soon. read more

I give this place three stars only because the food is good. Their service usually sucks however. I've waited in line for upwards of 20 mins on busy days. Getting the food on the same trip took 30 mins. This trip I waited for the one guy at the counter to wander around the back and make an ice cream and do god knows what else just to order. Sadly I know when I come here I have at least an hour investment into getting food and ordering. It's usually faster to go and order a pizza or go to a sit down than coming to this "fast food" joint. Came in to the Yuma location specifically for a root beer float in their famous frozen glass mug. They have the root beer. They have the ice cream. They have the frozen glass mug. They refused to make a root beer float in the frozen mug. Only in a paper cup. There are several 2 foot by 4 foot posters on the windows showing the root beer float in the glass mug with the words "You'll love a float". Go figure. read more

The 3 stars is for the food which was good. The service would not rate even one star. However, after reading other reviews, it seems this establishment has an issue with service. There was no line when we arrived. One person had just finished ordering and both he and the cashier took off. We stood there and stood there, and stood there some more. Eventually, another customer came up to get a knife. He was waited on immediately. So, we waited and waited some more. Employees walked back and forth and no one came forward. Finally, I made the comment we needed to go someplace else and was overheard by an employee that had seen us standing there. She asked if we'd been helped. Then, went to find the cashier that had taken off. Our order was finally placed. This Kentucky Fried Chicken is in the same building as the A&W. That was a good thing. We had a great experience here. We're passing through on our way home to San Diego and had to stop at A&W. I haven't been to A&W since I was a teenager and was beyond excited to be going back. Stopped for lunch yesterday. A & W was once one of our favorite fast food restaurants however our recent visit was the worst. It started with being told they had no Root Beer. What's A & W without Root Beer. Next the employee couldn't figure out how to work the cash register. The customer after us tried to order an Ice Tea and was told they didn't make any that morning. The taste of the food isn't terrible, however I'm giving them one star because the consistency of the food was practically inedible. The mashed potatoes were weird, all I can think to describe them as is the boxed flakes when you don't add enough water/milk, basically flakey- but you don't want that in a mashed potato. The chicken was SOGGY. I said it.... soggy. The breading on the chicken was wet and soggy, it disgusted me to have to eat the chicken, I slid off the soggy coating and thankfully the chicken itself seemed cooked. The buffet consists of all the old favorites of KFC, and some extra additions. For instance, a few main items they had when we went were original recipe, extra crispy, and grilled chicken, chicken taquitos, and chilaquiles. Side dishes include mashed and au gratin potatoes, cole slaw, salad, various steamed veggies, and chicken rice. There are also a good number of desserts such as apple cobbler, bread pudding, canned fruit, as well as vanilla and chocolate pudding. The quality is fast food quality, but at such a low price for a good selection of food, it can't be beat. read more

Maybe the worst KFC ever. Ever! I eat KFC about twice a year. Deep fried and all that. I like it though, until I came here. I have to say I was warned not to come to this one because they don't drain their meat. But silly me...I had the new spicy flavor, which was great. The meat was literally laying in clear grease at the bottom of the bucket. I wrapped the meat in paper towels trying to get some of the grease off. It was so heavy with grease that this is a month later and just thinking about it turns my stomach. So avoid this KFC unless you like your meat floating in clear grease. read more

I had to wait 25 minutes for a to-go order that only had 3 meals in it. The staff joked about having to wait and didn't have very good customer service. One of the staff members got in an argument with another customer and "played dumb". There was no manager on staff to resolve conflicts or speed up the wait time. read more

Just terrible!! I went there for the first time just today and I gotta say it was simply a waste of money! Then instead of giving me the ordered DUBBLE CHEESBURGER they gave some poor/lazy thrown together SINGLE CHEESE THING! One night we decided we wanted some KFC. We pull up in the drivethru and at first everything was going normal, the only distraction was the other employees in the background of the drivethru speaker, quaking, hooting, just being loud but that's normal right? WRONG. We pull up to the window and the kid gives us our food and we ask for NO ranch, but of course we get a lot of ranch, ask for a lot of special sauce, get only 1. The nights going great right? WRONG. The fries are literally hard as rocks, cant even bite into them, the rootbeer float was super flat, OH and the kids working are running around messing with eachother yelling and stuff, Seems like theres no such thing as a manager or rules?
